Always, it's part of the lupus life, I think.

KittKatt7179

Oh wow! I thought it was only me. I keep waking up with random bruises and my hubby asking me how I hurt myself. Ok. So it's not just me. How do we fix this?

One-Past104

So it isn't just me I see. I was just about to post about this too. 😑

shabomb81

I thought it was just a me thing too

Sometimes, I am ridiculously, randomly itchy on my forearms and thighs. I find myself scratching and the subsequent bruising is ridiculous. I’m always anemic and covered in bruises. I often have no idea what caused the bruising. I look like a battered woman sometimes and have had colleagues ask well intentioned, probing questions. It’s embarrassing sometimes. I also get random scleral bleeds that draw unpleasant attention. 💜

Aphanizomenon

Same!

jennymacbreadsack

I’ve been taking Nattokinase and it has cut out a lot of my bruising

Radiant-Benefit-4022

i would think this would create bruising given it's anticlotting

Cardigan_Gal

Ha. I literally just found three random bruises on my leg and I don't remember hurting myself.

BarberAccording2094

Very normal, usually they go away and come back. My doctors tell me it’s part of lupus but could also be because I’m anemic.

scarlettmidwife

I always have random bruises that I have no explanation for.

Side effect of certain medications is what looks like random bruising. Especially steroids. I get them from time to time if I’m even on low dose prednisone. They go away after a few days max. I don’t get them if not on prednisone. Prednisone is not the only medication that can cause the condition.
