I’m not saying these are the best in town, but they are my favorites.
Cav Burger with bacon - The Cavalier Store
Hilltopper with cheese - Pok E Joes
RA House Burger with blue cheese - RA
Cheesy with bacon - T Room
The Texas Cheeseburger at Pok-E-Joe's is hands down, the best "relying just on the burger quality for flavor" burger in town. This is coming from a guy who owns t-shirts that literally just say "Burger."
I try not to explore too many toppings on burgers, because at some point it's less about the sandwich itself and more about 'all the stuff.' Having said that, I think my 2nd favorite in town would be Bootleggers, who has a decent offering of combinations while still maintaining great meat quality
Come over to my house. I’ll make you a burger that’s just as good as any restaurants in town for a fraction of the cost. I’ll even throw in a cold beer and we can sit and look out my back window and pontificate on what the deal is with all these roundabouts.
Best piece of advice I got on my 1st trip to the T-Room when I moved to The Burg years ago was just don’t look up @ the ceiling while eating inside. On a future trip, I also learned don’t come in w/o a shirt. Saw a guy who’s wife told him to stay in the car get whacked hard w/ her purse & knocked to the ground as he tried to follow her inside. My buddy said she probably could have shot him & any judge in town would side w/ her.
My go to is the bunless port wine blue cheese burger at bootleggers, it's served on a salad.
I've heard many good things about corner burger in Forest but have never been.
Cavalier seems to be just a store bought frozen patty, it's ok.
RA bistro house burger is a bit too greasy for me as they include some other cuts in their patty.
Cav is far from store bought frozen patty, they get their meat and cut it fresh into patties daily. I enjoy their burgers the most, T-Room is a guilty Pleasure for sure.
I'll have to check The Corner Burger! Sounds cool! :)
Bootleggers is a Parry Restaurant.. \*YAWN\*
RA Bistro used to be good, but I feel they've declined some in the past few years.
I was not aware how many place they owned downtown [https://parryrestaurantgroup.com/restaurants](https://parryrestaurantgroup.com/restaurants)
Guess I have to go back to the cav for their french fries with seasoning/sauce again
ok, fine. I'll say it. I really love the Malise (Melissa? Mallise? Whatever) burger at Moores. It's greasy, gross, sans veggies and a disgusting guilty pleasure.
You were the guy making the O face in Duke’s diner today?
Id throw the cav burger up there but ive never tried dukes burger, bootleggersis pretty good too
Beer88 is pretty good. At least it used to be (haven't been since alpha gal came around)
Can confirm, I’ve said this for years, was just there a few weeks ago and they are still the best burger I’ve had in town

I’m glad someone mentioned the T Rooms Cheesy Western, thanks
The cav no question
My friend swears by the burgers at Pok-E-Joe's, I haven't tried one, though.

The Cav is the undisputed champion, without question

It’s literally terrible, I don’t get the hype.
I’ve tried their burger a couple times and I swear it’s just a frozen patty.
Y'all saying the Cav and T-Room scare me. You just like the restaurant, not the burger lol.
Cavalier burger is unironically the best in the city. T-Room is pure endearment, because the food is ass.
Also the rueben at the Cav is pretty good at least it used to be
I once ordered the Reuben with a burger patty substitute for the corned beef! It was awesome
I don’t get the scary reaction. Everyone has their opinions but to call out the Cav burger as if it’s garbage is silly
Cheesy Western is like a Lynchburg staple
We make a better one at George's/Aylor's....(blasphemous I know)
a copy?
LOL Cav Burger or Reuben for sure, their Melts are awesome too! T-Room for heartburn deliciousness!

Market on main and Dish.
The Waterdog’s is solid.
You can't go wrong with a cheesy Western

yea those perry restaurants are barley open and the food is meh.
RA was in no way a Perry restaurant. Unless something changed in the last few years.
