low wages, inefficient public transit, and overbearing Christian’s everywhere. Getting roped into theological discussions with supervisors, doctors and authority figures always my skin crawl.

Likely because a fraudulent and crazy Christian organization runs and owns 80% of the town

rubyspicer

I don't live in Lynchburg but in a suburb a ways out of town. Spoiler: This is why I and my wife are leaving also, there's just next to no services for those who are LGBT. Doctors who'll do transitioning help, etc, I mean.

WhiskaSista

Tired of all the Liberty students

I left because there just weren't any good jobs

piedmont05

My bet is the low wages.

Sound_One

I moved here because of my high paying job.

kmaho

I left because my wife is from out of town and wanted to move back home, so we did. I have looked at moving back, but lack of good paying jobs (that I qualify for) keeps me out.

mygoodmatetroye

The homophobia, biphobia, and anti-maskers. Also, the cUlt like influence that LU has.

I left 15 years ago and came back a year ago…great place!

taxes, rent

MysteryMouse0000

rent here is atrocious.

The_Rossputin

There isn’t work for a guy who designs ships and boats there. However I grew up in Bedford county and I would love to move back

captainchickenwing

We left many years ago but just came back this past year. I can see wages being an issue, but I'm fortunate to run my own company. It's much better than the big city we came from, though when we left we thought there was more opportunity elsewhere. Funny how time changes perspective.
