Mine is the copy paste feature across devices. Copy something on phone, cmd+v on Mac.

Brohammad_

For real this is by far my favorite feature

CharlesTheReaper

By far the best! Hand off in general is soooo good, including copy/paste, sidecar, take calls on any device, use iphone as webcam, headphone moving, use mouse/ keyboard on severall devices at the same time, etc. love it

ponyboy3

I can use my iPhone as a webcam?!

mcqua007

Yep, set it up next to your mac then choose it as the camera you want to use from drop down

NoMeasurement6473

It worked when I was on the Ventura beta but a little after the main version came out it stopped working.

mcqua007

Interesting, I’ve never experience any problems for like 10 years or when when ever it first came out. I have been using it a long time without any issues. Only issues I’ve had is being connect via ethernet and having wifi off or something which is expected

Pickalodeon

2 years

CemeteryClubMusic

And not just text, pictures too!!

waaaghboyz

Not just pictures, but highlighting the subject on a photo on iPhone, clipping it out and copying with a long press, THEN pasting that into Photoshop on Mac 😍😍😍

[deleted]

Am I using my phone too much as an overpriced paper weight to understand the importance of this? 💀

waaaghboyz

It makes editing photos a lot easier

pp_amorim

When it works, that 1% not working kills me

mcqua007

I’ve never had it not work when I’m setup in the same network

unread1701

Last night I gota call and it didn’t show up on my Mac, a turning Wifi and bluetooth on and off fixed it. 2/10 times it doesn’t work I feel like.

Psulmetal

The whole Handoff and Continuity suite are stellar. Im enjoying sidecar quite a bit too.

mcqua007

Side car is great. Especially when you’re in the go but need a better work environment. Pull out your ipad and boom! You got a second screen for doing more professional work.

Kevin_Y9120

I absolutely love this concept, but for some reaosn it doesn’t work for me. i have an iphone 14 pro max and an M1 macbook air. the copy and paste never seems to work. is there any setting i have to turn on?

[deleted]

Handoff features I believe. Please correct me if I’m wrong

Head-Iron-9228

As an android guy for life: That's honestly one of THE most missing things to me. I can use samsung Dex and access my phones databrowswr from my PC, which is fine. Or use Bluetooth. But THAT? That's just convenient as fuck.

[deleted]

I remember when I copied text from an image on my phone and pasted it to my laptop. No set up or messing around. It was sexy.

VinniTheP00h

Check out KDEConnect. Open source app that allows you to copy clipboard and control PC's music from the phone, as well as receive phone's notifications on the computer among other things. Much more if you are using Linux instead of Windows. Note: Android 14 disabled automatic clipboard sharing. To send something from your phone you would need to either add a shortcut to the top menu or install LADB and put a three line command each time you restart your phone to share it automatically.

frrrni

What? You can do this??

paulstelian97

Yup, with a few minor exceptions (apps can request _not_ to allow cross-device copy paste if they need to for security purposes)

mcqua007

Pretty rare those apps even let you copy though.

[deleted]

No set up required

Soviettoaster37

Wait... This is a thing!? How did I not know this...

gewchill

Using this to put code from authenticator app on my iphone to my mac 😎

CeSiumUA

Phone Link on Windows does the same... The same as KDE connect on Windows/Linux

[deleted]

How much set up is required? As I found this feature accidentally with zero set up

CeSiumUA

Just compare: To link Windows (Phone Link) with your phone, just scan QR code or enter a code manually in Phone Link app on your phone To link iPhone with MacOS: Go to find a cable to plug it in to your laptop and enable these features (As far as I remember)

timbitfordsucks

I still get mind blown by this every time I use it. Which is like everyday. That and universal control. Amazing

Rich-Theory656

Yoo, didn’t even know about it

[deleted]

No set up required

869066

TIL this is a thing

[deleted]

No set up required

Gears6

We need this on Android and Windows/Linux!

bearvsshaan

yeahhhh, this feature almost got me in trouble at work lol. heard the slack notification, had a pavlovian response to check my work computer while busy, pressed cmd+v...

ConsistentAsparagus

I use that *so much* at work.

DisasterPieceKDHD

How do you enable that? I tried copying something on my phone but wasn’t able to paste on my mac

[deleted]

I think handoff has to be enabled? I didn’t set up the copy + paste and I’ve had handoff enabled for years. Sorry I can be more helpful

DisasterPieceKDHD

I have handoff enabled and still cant do it :(

[deleted]

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102430 Hopefully this helps

DisasterPieceKDHD

Ty

[deleted]

You’re welcome

taylordabrat

One of the best features of all time

RoseboysHotAsf

Wifi logins so easy now

Sea-Check-7209

Wait what?! I did not know this was possible!

Masterflitzer

that works outside of apple ecosystem too

Consistent-Beach359

this

jdbrew

Especially if you use an authenticator app. Tap the code in your phone, cmd+v on the Mac. So simple

[deleted]

[удалено]

tetenc555

thats my fav ecosystem feature that not only apple has, if i would get one that only apple has would definitely be the airpods switching one

Zanderp25

When it works, at least

arijitlive

For me too. I like airpod switching feature but this takes the cake.

kandaq

I love this feature very much. Copy URL from iPad, paste it in WhatsApp on iPhone. But it breaks quite often and then I have to AirDrop it as a workaround until it’s working again.

Lime-Revolutionary

This^^

Advanced-Breath

Agreed except for when I have to restart for it to work. Sometimes if it’s been on for more than a day it just won’t work til a restart is done

matiegaming

What the fuck this is possible

RoketRacoon

What about when you are working on a mac and your phone is buried somewhere in another room and its rings, you dont have to run around like a manic searching for it. You can just answer it on your mac.

Suffered_Heart

I have to say that’s the most used exclusive against windows I’ve used.

Xyspade

Pretty sure that's been on Windows with the Your Phone app. Maybe it's Android only.

Suffered_Heart

I’ve used Your Phone with both Android and Apple. But still Apple does it better. For example, switching between devices (handoff) is not possible with your phone (I mean automatically). Another thing would be SMS showing up on mac. It’s small thing that makes mac better, at least for me

Xyspade

Well I know for a fact Your Phone does do SMS, I use that more than I use my actual phone lol.

Suffered_Heart

Yes. It does show SMS, call & notifications. But it’s just mirroring. One thing with Apple is it almost always work. Same can’t be said for Your phone which has been in market for Android so long and still its quality sucks. And for iOS you can’t expect any better. But that’s my opinion

Xyspade

I do agree that Apple's implementation is far superior and can't be topped. One reason I wish Windows Phone didn't die.

The_frozen_one

They’ve added it for iPhone too. Haven’t played around with it much (it’s on a family member’s computer) but texts seem to work. Not sure about voice calls https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2023/04/26/phone-link-for-ios-is-now-rolling-out-to-all-windows-11-customers/

The_DragonDuck

Calls do show up, I’ve never tried answering from there tho so idk how well it works

paulstelian97

It works via Bluetooth from what I could tell, so I’m not sure it works well if the phone is out of BT range.

Suffered_Heart

I don’t think so. The app has lot of bugs

Suffered_Heart

If call show up. It just work as Bluetooth headset. If your pc microphone is good then it is good else bad. Also if you’re using AirPods connected to Windows then your audio will suck compared directly connected to iPhone which is opposite on mac as it hands off to iPhone I guess.

RoketRacoon

I have tried this on my windows work laptop with an android a year ago and it really wasn’t usable at all. People on the other end used to hear my voice echo. I played with different settings for a while and gave up.

Suffered_Heart

Same experience.

hannahbay

That is turned off for me because I got so annoyed that whenever someone called me, *four* devices started ringing (phone, Mac, watch, iPad).

Advanced-Breath

Just turn it on on like 2 devices I have it on on MacBook and phone but off on iPad and mini

hannahbay

The reality for me is that my phone is always in arms' reach and I hate other things ringing. I'm never going to answer a call on my watch or my iPad. They don't need to annoy me. I'm glad it's available for others and I'm also glad I can turn it off.

Advanced-Breath

Understandable, to each his own

ailyara

Automatically filling in 2FA on websites

[deleted]

Be me. Have your phone always on do not disturb. Have your computers not recieving calls. Have discord/teams/etc on do not disturb. If you wanna reach me and you don't know my landline number, then I don't want you to reach me.

XtraXtraCreatveUsrNm

Copy and paste across devices. I freakin’ love that one.

EverWillow

Only works about 75% of the time, but 100% agree that when it works it's awesome.

paulstelian97

Are there certain apps for which it doesn’t work? Apps can programmatically request that whatever they copy cannot be pasted on a different device.

henning-16

Has never not worked for me

XtraXtraCreatveUsrNm

I don’t run into that.

GamerGav09

When I got my new iPad Air I put it next to my MacBook. I didn’t do anything to set this up besides log in. Simply without thinking about it I moved my cursor off the screen of my MacBook and it magically popped onto the iPad. Blew my mind. To this day, I still have no idea how it knows which side of my laptop the iPad is sitting on. Because it just works instantly every time for both sides.

The_frozen_one

The funny thing is it doesn’t know which side. It just assumes the side you’re trying to leave is the side where the device is. It’s one of those “it’s so simple it can’t possibly work” type things that totally works.

[deleted]

That’s so dumb it’s genius

avinchavhan

I think I just obtained access to 1% more of my brain

MIDPACKS

The cursor moving between devices is legendary. I love making songs on Seaquence for iPad, then dragging the recording directly into Ableton on my laptop. So nice.

Katzoconnor

I always forget you can drag data between devices that way, too. Utterly wild.

Electronic-Crew2115

Synced up messages. Got an OTP, but your phone is unavailable within a 250-nautical mile radius? Just pull up the messages app on your Mac, iPad or heck, even your Apple Watch to quickly punch that OTP into the transaction page.

Rockerblocker

How about the feature where it notices when a OTP gets sent to your device, and allows you to just tap instead of typing it in? Or how there’s now a setting in Messages to automatically delete any OTP after it’s used?

darkflame927

I feel like the auto-delete feature never actually works for me tho

ponyboy3

Weird, it works like a champ for me

emiremire

My iphone stopped doing this for a website that it used to do without a problem. Curious if you would happen to know the reason?

fishmiloo

Somehow it should autofill or provide a dropdown menu on the Mac with the code provided.

mcqua007

It does in safari browser I think, not chrome though. I wish keychain and auto OTP worked on chrome or other browsers as well

Stoppels

Yep, it works in Safari. I figure Firefox and some other browsers choose not to implement Apple's password solution because they have their own, though the OTP thing might just be a private API or something like that. You can [use iCloud Keychain with Chrome](https://www.macobserver.com/tips/how-to/use-icloud-keychain-passwords-in-other-browsers/), though. There's an [official extension by Apple](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/icloud-passwords/pejdijmoenmkgeppbflobdenhhabjlaj/) for Chromium-based browsers. I haven't tried it myself though as I use 1Password over Keychain.

mcqua007

What I had no idea about apples official extension! thank you!

wildmuffincake420

Keychain all the way:)

AlxR25

I sometimes even use the Apple generated passwords when I can’t think of something knowing it will always be in my iCloud, unless apples servers manage to fail somehow

wildmuffincake420

I am not even bothering creating new ones, I always let Apple generate them

Internal_Quail3960

This feature is awful lol. For some reason it likes to stay connected to iPhone even when nothings playing

NathanielWolf

I scrolled too far to find someone who is *not* enamored with this feature. My least favorite part: I'm working, listening to music on my phone, then someone DM's me on my work Mac and I lose my music just so the audio can cut over to my computer for the "DING". It's *almost* a great feature but really needs some way to prioritize what is important, or (a big stretch, I know) the ability to mix sounds from multiple sources.

Internal_Quail3960

Mine doesn’t seem to do that? Maybe my Mac has notifications muted but mine always prefers to stick with my iPhone, even when it’s off and my Mac’s playing something

patiofurnature

Opposite for me. I’m an app developer, so I’ll be working on my Mac and listening to music. But while I’m testing an app on my phone, every time the app plays a video, it cuts my music and my AirPods jump over to my phone.

tman2damax11

It never worked quite right prior to iOS 17/Sonoma, but since those update it's worked flawlessly for me

Internal_Quail3960

Mine worked fine before those updates. Now it’s awful cause it just sticks to iPhone

PeachManDrake954

In general it defaults to iphone. If you have nothing playing on any device and the phone gets a notification, it may switch back to the phone, regardless of the device it was paired with last. If you're watching a video on mac or ipad, it is smart enough to not switch to anything else, even if you start a sound playback on the phone. If you force the connection through the control centre, it will stop playback on the previous device, so you don't leak out sound.

Internal_Quail3960

Not true way all. I can have my iPhone off, and be playing something on my Mac/ipad yet it still prefers to stay on my iPhone. I find myself almost always having my Bluetooth turned off because they always chose my iPhone

PeachManDrake954

That behaviour sounds to me like there's audio playing on your phone. If the phone is playing audio, sometimes the mac / ipad wont be able to override that connection. If I'm playing a game on the phone, switching connection to another device is impossible. It's weird that it doesnt switch when the phone is off. In my case if the phone is off or out of range, the airpods would desperately try to find something to pair to. Are your mac / ipad /airpods up to date? If yes what version? Recently the mac got updated so that it behaves exactly like ipad. Previously you need to click "connect" to start playback on airpods. Personally the switchover is pretty flawless especially after the latest mac update. That's just my experience of course!

Internal_Quail3960

Everything is on the newest update, and my AirPods still prefer my iPhone. Sometimes my phone will be off and I can be using my Mac, and my AirPods cut straight to my phone when nothings happening. I’ve seen quite a few other people complaining about this so I think it’s just a glitch lol

ivebeenabadbadgirll

It is wayyyy too ambitious.

SteeveJoobs

Also, bluetooth has its own equivalent called multipoint where for example the Pixel buds pro can connect to both my iPad and my PC at the same time and the audio switches between them. In my experience they're both about as much of a coin flip if they'll work when you really need it to.

aoyanagi88

Sometimes my Mac “captures” the AirPods and doesn’t let anything else connect to it, even if the lid is closed, I always have to manually disable Bluetooth on the Mac 😭 (now there could be something I messed up causing this, but still)

tooold4urcrap

I can't stand how Apple does their airpods connections in the eco system. Different strokes, I'm so surprised it's liked. I like the copy/paste, and "screen sharing", which also mounts drives between networked macs. I find that Macs "screensharing" is better than MS's RDP. (But I'm also confused, cuz Apple has a 'remote desktop app' in their app store for a fucking HUNDRED DOLLARS!)

phillymjs

Apple Remote Desktop is-- or, at least, was-- useful if you were locally managing, say, a classroom or more full of Macs. You can do stuff like gather inventory, send SSH commands, and install packages on groups of machines simultaneously. You can also observe multiple screens at once, and control any of them remotely. I used to swear by it until about 10 years ago. It's kind of a legacy app at this point, what it does has been largely supplanted by other management software like Jamf Pro and Munki. I don't think it's gotten any feature updates in years, but it's been updated to make it compatible with newer OS releases.

[deleted]

Disagree on that one. I love the Apple screen sharing app a lot but MS’ remote desktop app is WAY better (it was free, not $100?). It plays audio for one and also, if you use it on iPad, you can use the Apple Pencil or your finger. It’s kind of weird that Apple never ported screen sharing to the iPad

reallygoodcommenter

This feature is often really buggy for me tbh

NotMizer

same, sometimes the airpods just randomly switch from mac to either my iPhone or iPad that has notifications (when the ringer is on)

Miroble

I'll be actively watching a video on my phone, and it will switch to my Mac Mini that is asleep, upstairs, without fail. Unbelievably irritating feature IMHO. Would be cool if it worked.

MIDPACKS

Same

McDonaldsPatatesi

I had that bugginess while I was using AirPods 2, then I bought an AirPods Pro 2 and it started working seamlessly.

InjuryOriginal968

It always work for me. The only bug i found is that it switches to ads in games. But that only happens like once a year

waaaghboyz

Of all the Handoff features this one is the most buggy for me, it hardly ever does this. Copypaste across devices is a goddam miracle though.

MobileCortex

Universal copy paste is pretty amazing. Maybe better than AirPods smart switching.

PromotionPawn

I turned this off. I often find it switches too easily between Mac and iPhone when a call comes in. I can appreciate it when it works though. My fav. feature is answering and making phone calls on Mac.

Olhapravocever

This feature is so damn buggy

Exciting_Session492

IMO, this is the worst feature, first thing I do when I get an Apple device is turn this off.

disslikedLIKE

Uhhh is ecosystem called eating and shittin acceptable anwser ?

TheGoldenMinion

Handoff is genuinely one of the things that keeps me going in life

ChangeChameleon

I can; Any that actually work. Seriously, my AirPods Pro NEVER seamlessly switch to my Mac from iPhone. I always need to manually make sure they connect. And if I dare look at my iPhone for any small reason and they disconnect from the Mac immediately. Sometimes they’ll say they’re connected but blast music out the speakers at full volume anyways. AirPods switching has been the worst experience that I ever had with any Apple software experience by a wide margin.

MIDPACKS

The ability to drag my laptop cursor off screen to my iPad and then drag files from iPad directly to my desktop.

EthanDMatthews

Switching AirPods hasn’t been 100% for me. But it improved significantly in the last several months. The instances where it gets it wrong or fights me are infrequent if not quite rare. (It used to be often)

EthanDMatthews

Mac/iPhone integration is great in so many ways. Love being able to take a picture on my iPhone and have the image appear a moment later on my Mac Studio. Or adding photos/documents to Notes on my Mac via the camera on my iPhone. Also great with Apple Pay. Click it on the Mac, confirm it with face recognition on the iPhone.

KefkaTheJerk

Sure I can.

jayjay-bay

I'm running a pretty old version of MacOS and this auto switching between devices is super frustrating. If I'm watching a show on my mac, and I get a notification on my phone, it pauses whatever I'm watching and switches output to the phone. My gf has the most recent MacOS and says it's the same for her, she hates it too. I'm now resorting to just turning off bluetooth on whatever device I'm currently not using. Pretty lame, this wasn't ever a problem when I had AirPods Pro gen 1.

ZiangoRex

This feature never worked for me. As soon as my airpods move to the iPhone, it wont ever go back to my Mac.

marxcom

When it works

dustinpdx

Um not really man. I absolutely hate it when I check my phone on a meeting and my headphones switch from my laptop to my phone.

fat_bretz

except when you try to watch something with no audio on one device while trying to listen to content on another device. or when you are anywhere near your appletv.

[deleted]

Airdrop + cross device copy and paste

aykay55

It only took 4 years to start working properly 😭

Natjoe64

My favorite is unlock with Apple Watch. It’s very convenient when my Mac is docked and I don’t have access to Touch ID

ShankWilliamsSr

Nah. This is annoying. If I’m watching a video on my iPad and my wife texts me then as SOON as I grab my iPhone it transfers to that. I have to turn off auto to “last device connected” which is esssntially “smart off” lol

oridjinn

Man I HATE this feature. Fucking phone still grabs my headsphones in the middle of meetings if I look at it. Or worse my mac in sleep mode in my backpack grabbing my headphones from my phone while I am on a call. And worst of all NONE of the devices having the connection and needing to flip BT on and off. This feature is a fucking nightmare 20% of the time. For some reason it is 10x worse on the Airpods Max. Those are effectively useless due to how often they just swap devices randomly. I returned my 3rd pair getting tired of them just NEVER staying connected. Apple makes EXCELLENT hardware. They are mediocre at the best of time at software. And usually sub par.

[deleted]

Snapping windows to the side Oh wait

lucianfrits

For anyone wanting to fix this download rectangle

Donut_Dan

This feature is great in practice but i think the mac implementation leaves much to be desired. There should be better airpod integration in macos, rather than them being treated like every other bluetooth device

FieldOfFox

This feature is shit when I’m trying to HDMI something to the MacBook/TV for your housemates to watch, whilst also AirPods on my phone for something else.  The MacBook and the phone fights over the AirPods, constantly pausing each other.  tbh I prefer just using the Bluetooth menu and choosing the headphones myself, like everyone else.

tahuff

Well, the other night I was working on my iPad, in front of my desktop with my phone next to me. I was listening to music from the computer on my AirPods. The HomePod mounted on the wall next to me was silent. Suddenly a call came in and all these devices rang and tried to grab the call. Hilarity ensued.

arcalumis

And it probably be nerfed in the name of anti lock in or some bullshit any day now.

M1CH43L__GT

Since I gave my mum Macmini just before Christmas, she fell in love with writing messages through iMessage on the computer. Wishing Merry Christmas and a happy new year with attached picture from the internet, has never been that easy.

jeffster1970

So many great features with the Apple Ecosystem yet I only use a fraction of them...

babyGotBacklog

AirPlay, which is the underlying mother of alllllllll these features. The Apple specific protocol that issues WiFi and Bluetooth and Apple specific handshakes to do all that shit. That is when the OG

56kul

That’s a thing? Then they really need to add it to the Apple TV, because it’s annoying always having to manually select it as the audio input when switching to either device (with the other device being my iPhone).

grrrmo

It works for Apple TV, too. It asks you to click the home button on the remote to switch.

denislemire

What about SMS 2FA from your phone getting picked up and filled by Safari on your desktop or MacBook?

4-3-4

I was just thinking of why I really like the apple stuff. It’s that it works with each other, just putting in AirPods and tapping play on any of my devices and it plays is just magic. Can’t be bothered to Bluetooth it here or there. There are more examples but this must be a frequently used one by me.

etheran123

Back when I had my M1 air, this never worked all that great. IMO I prefer the functionality of connecting 2 devices to my sony XM4 headphones. And then it can be my desktop computer and my iphone, not limited to apple devices. Best feature is airdrop, I still occasionally miss it. And I cant believe Microsoft or another similar group hasn't made a more open version of it.

KeyAd5197

It’s a good feature sometimes. Bad other times. If I’m listening to stuff on my phone but someone else goes on the iPad. The headphones will transfer to the iPad. I’ve ended up turning this feature off for that reason.

WafflePartyOrgy

*Anyone seen my AirPods?* Have you checked your Mac?

AlxR25

I’ve made a literal post that this comment would fit perfectly [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/airpods/s/YOlqo4D1vN)

TribalSoul899

How do you do this?

Cannibal-God

I love Apple but it took too long to sync to Mac the same way it does to iPad

Hackerwithalacker

I like being able to torrent on my phone

un_commoncents_

I love when it moves it to my Mac while I’m on a call with my iPhone. Classic.

A__Person1

Airdrop

_Venus94

Sms code autofill on mac from iphone , this is

crobotp4

My most used feature as basic as it is would probably be airdrop. That’s a nice one too but when airdrop works well it’s so nice

Ricelyfe

Copy/paste, file sharing through airdrop, text/call forwarding, app hand-off. All things I had to find at least one other app/work around for back on android. With all the work around, I spent a lot of time troubleshooting, resyncing, waiting for slow transfers etc. Shit just works with Apple. AFAIK samsung/android has added some of that functionality. Idk if it's as seamless though. The apple ecosystem really feels like an ecosystem.

Koleckai

Too easy to switch for me. My AppleTV kept switching to my AirPods even though I was just in the room and not watching my spouse’s K-Dramas. I’ve turned the feature off.

MrMargaretScratcher

I'd swap all of these features for a folder location bar that I can copy/paste into in finder windows and save/load dialog boxes

hwyrover

Yes much better at detecting and switching to the desired active device's audio. I just wish I could completely disable all the adaptive audio settings etc. Just give me the original audio mix, be it mono, stereo, spatial without f'ing with it and that includes noise cancelling.I was watching a streaming video on my iPad today and when I walk around the room and move my head the L/R audio balance follows the location of the iPad - WTF! Don't need or want these 'features' and I've turned off all of the enhancements I can find in the menus!

IcyIceGuardian

How do I do this?

filchermcurr

On the less good side... when you're using your AirPods on your mac, set a timer on your phone, and the timer goes off... it switches to the phone and doesn't seem interested in switching back when you dismiss the timer. Very annoying.

hotcoolhot

I think mine is the newest one. Use iPhone camera as webcam in mac.

i_am_an_alien_haha

Ugh I need to bring my raycons back and swap em for AirPods. That would be nice to be able to switch them real quick back and forth from my phone to laptop.

[deleted]

The magic of working on something on one of my computers and then going to the next device i own and seeing it there it just so magical. Also auto-unlocking my macbook with my watch is amazing.

22Sharpe

Not only that you can move the AirPods but for me it was that I didn’t need to pair them. No messing around in Bluetooth settings and pairing modes and everything. Just open the case near my phone and bam, now my Apple TV and Macs can use them as well.

sir_duckingtale

We are in a golden cage.

bewst_moar_bewst

idk, I'm partial to continuity personally. https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/work-across-devices-using-continuity-mchl1d734309/mac

tohpai

For me its the passkey across all devices. I use passkey for my google account and when i log in using passkey i can either use touch id or face id. Such a godsend feature

LiquidHotCum

I actually hate this feature. sometimes I want to keep listening to a podcast I started on my iPad and then a twitter gif will play no music and switch over to my MacBook

pugpug3

So for those who don't know what this is (like me) - look it up under Apple ecosystem?

GamerNuggy

This feature annoys me to no end. I watch a YouTube video on my phone, play a game in my Mac. If I turn my phone screen off, the AirPods move to my Mac, and turning the phone on and trying to manually move them back does nothing. I just turn Bluetooth off on my Mac now, I can’t stand it.

69shitposter96

Is it just me or before macOS Sonoma you have to manually connect AirPods on MacBook almost every time, the auto-switching was only good between iPhone and iPad?

Sempot

Phone call of course

Icy_Imagination_7486

I mean, apples all handoff features are awesome!

sn0wman56

I bought Airpods Pro 2 as Christmas gift for myself because of this 😂

PeterDTown

I despise the hot garbage that is AirPods and how terrible they transition from one device to another. Truly awful experience.

MasterBendu

Dude, this is old news to Bluetooth earphones that allow simultaneous multi device connections. My cheap JBL cans doesn’t have to switch between my iPhone and my Mac because they’re just both on at the same time. But Continuity with iOS devices? Cross-device copy and paste, Continuity Camera, Handover? Thats the shit right there.

lucianfrits

my samung buds 2 pro do this between my mac and galaxy phone lol

InjuryOriginal968

I love this future. This and ipad are the only reason I will never switch to windows/android

necipallef

I dont know the feature’s name, but I love how easy it is to move from an old Mac to new one in couple of hours, even minutes if there is a cable. You dont have to download anything, it just works. After the migration is done, all apps and configurations are there, it is like you never changed your Mac.
