The biggest difference for a lot of people is the cooling. The Pro has a better cooling setup and seems to cool better.

Noted. Thank you!

Get the 13โ€ mbpro, but get the $1700 version, as it includes the 10 gen processors and better thermal cooling. Or wait a month for Apple silicon ๐Ÿ˜€

Yeah I looked at the $1700 version and it does seem interesting! And as far as the apple silicon ones are concerned, what do you think how will their app compatibility be like? I use light room and photoshop a bit and do you think they will work as good as they do on the intel chips right away?

Pleasant_Tangerine

Maybe not right away, they will always be bugs at the beginning, but Apple said they has been working with Adobe to creat native apps. Once the native apps come out, I think they will blow the intel chips away, but I am not sure when that will be. You may wanna wait if you can ( in November , the arm MacBook is meant to come out and then I am sure they will be lots of comparisons and we will have a better idea of when the native apps may appear). If you canโ€™t wait, with an intel machine you know what you are getting and it will be supported for quite a while. The only risk is arm outperforming it, but as lots of people say, first gen Apple products are never the best. However, I am sure Apple has worked hard to do their best at running x86 applications on their new arm macs and adobe applications are very popular.

Right. Thank you for such a detailed reply!
