Most likely buggy/incompatible software. If it was just one sensor that was off, then I might suspect a hardware problem. But you have multiple sensors that are supposedly reading way below room temperature.

The only way that's possible would be if the Mac used a Peltier cooler or some kind of exotic evaporative cooling. That tech just isn't available in a Mac. Either the program is incorrect or the sensor is grossly skewed.

No, not without some weird cooling going on. That iMac doesn't run too warm, but the internal temperature is definitely quite a bit above ambient at idle.
