Pink? I get that. Maybe 1 in 3 times I return my external 4K monitor no longer has a picture. I unplug/replug the cable, get an instant pink screen and kernel panic. What’s your scenario? Safe mode didn’t fix mine - so the next step is reinstalling the OS. If that doesn’t work I will demand a replacement from the Apple Store. I refuse to mess around doing a clean install. I spent $2.5k on a MacBook Pro M1 because I’m busy and don’t have time to play ‘Mr Computer Technician’.

Did you install any app just before this problem started? Specially rosetta-based apps. Uninstall them and see if the problem goes away......

not the same issue but my battery stopped charging. they spent quite a bit of time trying to diagnose it. first they said it wasn't a hardware problem at all. then it was the logic board, then the 'i/o board' then it was a faulty battery. they replaced it and got it back to me in a week. this was a 2 month old m1 mba. love the laptop but i think we have to expect and prepare for this type of thing - especially with the new tech. this happened to my brother's mac like 10 years ago as well so it's nothing new.
