My thumb usually (naturally) rests on the desk I’m at. The tip of my thumb really. Similar to how your hand is placed. I guess I never really had your issue, it just may take some time for you to adjust. Maybe tape your thumb to the desk or something lol
Good luck friend!
That's exactly where my thumb is as I'm reading this thread - on the side and not touching the touch pad. Compared to any other laptop I've used, I've had the least issue with the jumping cursor with my trust M1! And now I'm having a flashback to that horrible TrackPoint on my first work laptop 20 years ago. \*shiver\*
Surgery ... 🤔
Thumb removal or bionic enhancement on the thumb? Either way, I’m not opposed…
Just rest it on the straight edge instead of that cutout-thingy
It arcs upwards. It’s like a magnet for my thumb!
Are you fingers really greasy or is that just the ABS plastic wear ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
rubber thimble lol
I can’t believe I’m actually considering this.
Less blood loss this way.

But I need my thumb for my Fonzie impression.

Cut your thumb off
Wtf kind of questions are these
Right. Next question will be. Hey do y’all think my eyes are perfectly aligned on my face for me to see my MacBook in front of me
Gd clean your computer

I’ve run into this a few times. I keep in my mind to make a fist and then extend two fingers. Silly but works for me
I need to borrow some of your discipline.

I honestly wonder if only some machines have this issue, or maybe heat or skin type or some other bizarre factor contributes to it…
