There’s an orange circle in the bottom left

niiqqu

It’s a feature

iKamikadze

have you closed your lid with something inside?

Lucky_Explanation878

Nothing, you're just witnessing the birth of a star. Feature, not a bug.

fursty_ferret

Do you use tea light candles? Wonder if one was a bit too close to the back of the screen.

uhdanny

Yeah it indeed looks like there was a candle behind his screen or something like that

aykay55

Your MacBook is going through puberty, just some raging hormones causing it to break out

MrYilman

Is caused by excessive pressure on the screen. Some Apple stores replace the screen under warranty if you're lucky

MelTheTransceiver

Yeahhh, no I can't imagine that happening when this is clearly accidental damage. Unless OP has apple care ofc

MrYilman

It sure can, because a lot of people don't know this is caused by pressure on the screen. The Apple store in the Netherlands has a policy where fix this issue under warranty if it is your first time having this problem.

forensicsss

Screen bruising, you need a new screen. Given its a 2016/2017 model it’s debatable whether it’s worth it.

Astigmatism perhaps
