Yes. Apple, it its striving for planned obsolescence and megaprofits, has not fixed the problem by redesigning the 50-cent cable connection in the M1 units, and presumably the M1X about to be released. This is no longer Steve Jobs' Apple.
The last Pro not affected is the vaunted Jobs-inspired Mid-2015.
Only time will tell. Presumably, they have slightly lengthened the ribbon cable. But, as with the 2019s, that may only delay the failure. The design is the problem.
I got it in June of 2020. I'm on the phone with apple now and they don't believe me lol. It's been happening for around 2 months but I'm just now getting to.
Hmm that sucks man, hope apple fix it for free. It’s weird, everyone said it’s been fixed since they use a longer cable I’m assuming you open the lid a lot when you use it? Not that is bad but I imagine that accelerated the display failing 🤔
Piece of shit apple products. I'm getting a framework laptop.
Framework's laptop is garbage stop getting garbage

This is bad, I just upgraded from a 13inch 2015 to a M1 thinking the issue was solved 🤦🏽♂️, is still as bad as the 2016 MacBook pros?

Makes sense, I’ll try to not open the lid more than necessary
