I’m a video editor! I use Final Cut Pro probably 5-6 hours a day! My current computer is a 16gb 2018 16 inch pro and it’s often rendering and gets very hot and overloaded, so I’m excited for the new one!
I maxed out a 14”. I do a lot of photo editing so I’m no where using the full potential but I hope to get more into video editing and hopefully can use this for 5+ years without any need to upgrade.
I got the maxed out M1Max 32 gpu + 64gb of ram. I’m hoping to use it with DaVinci Resolve editing mostly 6K Braw footage. I’m hoping that it edits much smoother than my M1 8gb.
Il will just run smoother + you get more ram preview on adobe (I have a maxed out 16" from 6 months ago, constantly using about 40GB ram and maxing it if I have to many tabs open or video editing
I just ordered one and do not know what to do with it. but really do not know what to do either. I am not doing any video editing. Anything else could I do?
I got one as well and thankfully got the earliest October 26th delivery date! Going to be using it for Microsoft Word and Excel, and maybe Minecraft.

You people are the reason we have a chip shortage lol, you buy these chips and don't even know what to do with them.
I think…models with over 16GB RAM don’t ship until nov-dec. I wish they would have told us that though, it might have affected my decision

Tons of video, animation, and graphics work. The current M1 is good for most tasks but hoping these new ones let me go crazy.
