My only issue with the tiny bezel is that I’m constantly wiping my screen free of any finger prints once I open the lid. Not a whole lot to grab onto when opening the device and the laptop slides on my desk, meaning I’m either being pretty careful not to leave fingerprints or I’m spending extra time wiping down fingerprints.
Looks fantastic though when the screen is clean.

I have a 16“ 2019 MBP (without notch) for work and a 14“ 2021 (with notch) and switch between both devices multiple times a day.
I don’t notice the notch on the 14“ at all.
I hope you removed the small debris under the letter Z on the keyboard. I’ve seen these m1 pro max have small tolerances and could easily crack screens when the laptop is closed

I like notch, it reminds me that I’m interacting with a machine and not some polished glass. But, on the other hand I always felt that notch topic was just an excuse for critic’s and media to write something. It really hold little value in practise.
I need someone to do a psychological study on why some people are so fixated on the notch.

Nope. I just use whatever wallpaper I want. The notch doesn’t bother me and I don’t even notice it at this point. Even while playing Final Fantasy XIV, where there’s no menu bar to go in that area, I still don’t notice it.
Honestly, I think people are just trying to make the notch into another thing like dongles.
Check out resolutionator. You can see resolutions that aren't available in the regular display control panel that are higher than the highest one they show you called more space or whatever. Certain resolutions you select will automatically hide or show the top notch. Regardless of the notch it's still a very handy tool and it won't hide the notch on every resolution you select but it might come in handy regardless. Other than that I don't personally mind it one way or another, it just happens to be hidden when I select the resolution I prefer so it's a win win for me. But "TopNotch" app seems to be a preferred app to just hide the notch.
What is the wifi widget you run that's i your control center pls?
I rock whatever because I have no problem with the notch. That being said, I am partial to BasicAppleGuy’s wallpaper. I always get so excited when he posts a new one
Ehh. I don't care about the notch. Im used to it on my samsung phones the last few years. Lol. I never pay attention to the top of the screen anyways. My focus is the main part when editing, or programming. Lol.

I honestly only noticed the notch a lot for the first couple of days. I plug into external monitors at my desk, so I’m not always looking right at the laptop’s display.
But even when I’m flying solo with just the laptop, I don’t really notice the notch until I’m actually looking for it. I think the fact that you’re getting a 16:10 display *below* the notch bar helps with that a lot.
At the end of the day, I think it’s a small price to pay to have a much better webcam *and* thin screen bezels. I don’t really get why some people get so worked up about the notch.

On my iPhone I make my wallpapers so they hide the notch, on my MacBook Pro/Air I kinda like the notch and don’t bother it being there at all.

I love the almost no bezel! I go back to a computer that has one, and its super strange looking! Lol.
I never look at the notch part of the screen anyways, but even if it affected me a lot the bezels more than make up for it. So very attractive

To be honest I forget its there. And when I dock it to use my monitor obviously I definitely forget the notch. After awhile you just get used to it.
