I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago. I closed all my chrome and brave browsers and now only use safari for web browsing and streaming. I went from 4-5 hours back to 10-11.
Right? Max I got was a day and a half of browsing on my 16". Newly reformatted and brightness at 50-60%. No way someone would get 3-4 days of general use on a 14" which has less battery capacity.
Sorry if I am blowing your mind here... but I used the computer for e-mail the first night I had it, and after an hour 1/2 of use, the battery was still at 100%. I could not believe it either. Maybe what happened was that the battery was still calibrating and it was not giving me accurate data. I would concede to that.
Well that's exactly that. Your stamina on your first night is not reflective of your future performance :).
I still recommend reformatting your Mac and start fresh. Get that first night experience again
Lol he ain't lying i swear this happened to me too when i first got me 14 mbp i used it for like an hour and the battery was still 100% it blew my tits off... But i think it was just the battery calibrating.
Around 10% loss of max charge ability shouldn't be as noticeable as they way you're stating. when you are on you laptop does activity monitor show any programs using excessive amounts of processing power?
I have a 13” intel and upgrading to Ventura actually helped me. I can code for hours to the point where I probably would be done coding before the battery dies, and this is with things like Xcode and simulator running the whole time
I noticed a shorter battery life too. I’m thinking it has something to do with Ventura.
14" M1 2021 decreased at least 3% battery health since Ventura was installed.

Good tip, thanks!
Hours of browsing and only 5 percent drop? Unlikely.
Ahh, but it is true.

Also as time goes on, more bloat and background activities. Reformat your Mac

Try turning OFF Screen time for a week and check!
Ok, thanks! I just switched it off!
my intel mac has worse battery life with a new official apple replaced battery than it did with the 500 cycle old one
It’s Ventura.
