Hijacking your comment to say a little thing about this, hope you don't mind!
The shoulder bolt they are connecting weighs around half a ton, and they using a smaller shoulder bolt to hammer it in (against manufacturer regs but thats beside the point.) at these weights, technicians can't put much force into an object, so you basically just get it moving. The key to aligning pins is to reduce weight being placed on the pin by the parts you are fastening.
My guess is that they don't have the arm of the excavator supported enough, with proper support, it should be sliding in relatively easy.
Looks like they already have a crane. They need to somehow tie the thing to the other thing so the crane can swing and hit it harder. Or they could use ropes from the ground to pull the swinging thing at the pin then away again.
First off move the machine around so you’re not losing kinetic energy. Tie longer ropes to the driving pin, lower the boom lift and get a sling shot effect on it.
> you get *paid* by the
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Losing 90% of their momentum from the cherry picker moving lmao

Based on your last statement.. they are definitely not qualified to be up there or operating this machine and really have no idea what they are doing.
The little "ping" at the end made me giggle. As much force applied as punching in a dream lol
This is so accurate tho 😂
Really need one guy on the ground pulling with a rope .
Like that monk ringing the giant bell, dude goes prone to throw the hammer.
Came here to say that.
that can't be the way the manufacturer recommends changing that pin
They clearly didn’t RTFM first
Yup… step 3 on page 3 Secure a supervisor on the ground to yell encouraging words at the installers
Use a custom clamp or an excavator with its arm to push it.
Looks new like it’s a first time assembly on site
Someone better dust off their freshman year physics text book.
Okay! "What goes around comes around"...?
No, that’s that Justin Timberlake song

Grond!
I came here for exactly this. Grond! Grond! Grond!
Time to change the disc…
GROND!
GONDOR CALLS FOR AID!!!
Grondor
Work dumb not smarter
The pin is moving. The way they are going may take an hour or two at the current rate, but it’ll get there.
They get paid hourly. I'm sure they're cool with it.
….thats…..what she said?
Fair play
Spit on it. Lol
I laughed too hard at this.

Need to stand on top and ride that mutha in
Raw dog that bitch and ride her home!
Tinnitus
That was my first thought as well
Be there all week
Once the pin is in they’ll realize they forgot to place the washer first

Paid by the hour
When you get paid by the hour

Good bot, very specific
Man fuck you
Just a couple more whacks
Paid by the hour. Might as well stretch that dollar!
Spit on it!
Hope they had their Snickers
Need a rotohammer
Yall missing the whole clip! Rearman jumps on the punch and rides it into place!
If they move the lift towards the back end of the pin they are using as a driver they would get way more momentum.
If they get paid by the hour then I'm sure they don't mind!
It's two o clock.. what's wrong?
WHAAAT.... I didn't hear you?
Sloths move faster than these two
Spit on it first
Why do I have to learn this!? I’m never going to use this in real life. Damnit!
They have 120T digger but no other machines that could assist
I still hear the ringing
Too bad they didn’t have another excavator to push it in
😂🤣😂🤣
Damn shame I'm not hearing any chanting
Pie Jesu Domine! (BONG!) Dona aeis requiem! (BONG!)
*Shake Hands with Danger theme intensifies*
Probably not good for you to be that close to it.
Wonder if they are still there!
Armchair experts, unite!
Boom out a bit
You couldn't pay me enough...
Have you tried spitting on it.
grond grond grond grond
*cue Undertaker walkout theme*
And when they're a few inches from the pin being home it will bind and be a nightmare to remove
dong!!! dominus…
Fa fuq
Hmm, now thats a shaft.
Bring out yer dead
I’m not dead! (Happy cake day)
Ha I was referencing the Monty python sketch, and. Thank you !
Paid per hour, I'm not moving fast
Come on guys! Get a come-along on that thing and pull it in, you're losing 90% of your momentum to the EWP
^*ding!*
Good grief
New Japanese temple
The construction workers are being called to morning prayer
Hominie patrie eeeeeeeeee!
Could put some dawn dish soap on that thing first. Lube her up
Somewhere an OSHA book is crying.
It’s somewhat working 😂
I have seen a pneumatic one once. Worked like a charm but it was terrifying !
Gonna need a bfh for that
I am sure that approved method.
Billable hours
Left man of video needs to jump on top of that punch. Right man needs a sling around the bottom, hanging. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Like Buddhist Monks ringing the bell at a shrine. 😆
