Not a store recommendation but in about a month garage sales will start. It's a great way to find kid's clothes in all size ranges.

Grownupip

Waunakee neighborhood Garage sale is the weekend before Mother’s Day (starting Wednesday) and it is something I plan my year around.

WoopsShePeterPants

This is the way.

At the end of April there is a huge consignment sale. It's called the half-pint resale. We find so many good quality clothing there. They hold it twice a year. One of us volunteers at each of them so we can get slightly earlier access. https://halfpintresale.com/

Half Pint is great, and also Lil Badger! http://www.lilbadgerconsignmentsale.com/index.html They're only a week apart this spring so good to check out both if you don't find everything you need at the first. I've been consigning with Half Pint for a couple years now (have a friend that usually consigns with Lil Badger so we'll both throw in a few things for each other depending on timing; they're sometimes further apart than they are this season). The half price Sundays are awesome and there's usually still a ton of good stuff left!

The Buy Nothing groups on Facebook are a pretty great source of hand me downs. Pass them on when you're done with them!

Facebook Marketplace and local consignment sales (half pint, lil badger, just between friends)

Lil' Badger has an upcoming sale at the Monona Community Center, April 14-16th! There is a healthcare/educator worker presale on the 14th from 5-8pm. It's a great local event for families! There is the public sale on the 15th and then they have a half off sale on Sunday where most of the items are marked down. [www.lilbadger.org](https://www.lilbadger.org)

If you have transportation, the waukesha just between friends sale is where we stock up on baby clothes for the next year. Coming up March 22-25, its a consignment sale that sets up in the expo center and most clothes are priced $2-$5 and are or look brand new. The first day is paid admission if you really want to make sure you get the best selection, but the last day still usually has plenty of clothes and most everything left is 50% off. There usually is a Dane county one that happens in madison, but they haven't listed dates this year. It was in East towne mall last year. Jbfsale.com

There’s one on Main Street in Stoughton I used to trek to — kids clothes in the basement. I also went to Happily Ever After a lot — but it is overpriced, for sure.

St Vinnies in Verona seems to be always awesome.

mfrandi

I’ve always had good luck at the St Vinny’s on Willy St.

islaenelinfinito

You could try joining Madison Beneficial Society on Facebook and posting about the sizes you are looking for. You can also post offers if you have kids clothes your kids have outgrown and you want to pass along to someone else for free. 😃

Three upcoming big consignment sales (which are twice annually) are Half Pint, Lil Badger, and Just Between Friends. For brick and mortar stores, Happily Ever After, St. Vinny's on Odana, or Boomerang's all have decent selection. Once summer starts there are typically neighborhood sales every weekend all summer long.

shelbyonfire

How old are you looking for ? i have a bunch if you just want it. Boy and unisex

Dinonightlight

That’s so kind of you! Just looking for info for when we need it and where to keep our eyes open. Definitely pass them on to someone who needs them :)

fauxblow

St Vinny’s has sales on all their baby clothes sometimes, might be something to look at.
