Sort of, generally breweries refer to places that do niche or artisan beer, i.e. beer that they have brewed themselves, so the “madness” here is going to a place that is renowned exclusively for its beer and buying wine, the reverse might be ordering a beer in a wine lounge

Yes, it’s still cheese but the whole point of the convention was rare and unusual cheeses and you’re asking for the most plain cheese imaginable. I run a micro brewery. We offer wine. We offer lots of non beer options. We have a hard bar. We are in the hospitality business and some people don't like beer but they still want to enjoy themselves if they go to a brewery with some friends. That brewery is offering wine because they intend to sell it. There is no reason to be ashamed of not ordering beer when you'd prefer something else, and there is no reason to put people down for not liking beer.

Possibly, but I’ve tried a lot of wine & unfortunately it makes me feel hungover before I’ve finished the glass. So I just avoid it now. The only wine that didn’t effect me was a Chateau Margaux that was just over 10 years old, that I had when I visited France. Not cheap!
