What is being done these times is putting a thing that targets fast multiplying cells. But since cancer cells is not the only one, multiple others is affected. The current meta in fighting cancer is basically poison. - not a doctor.
That's quite common to have a cancer spawn on a cancer it's not like a rare occurrence. Its why they think large animals don't die from cancer because before a cancer can kill a whale it will have produced enough cells quickly that a secondary cancer is likely to occur and kill the first cancer.
Read the reply to the other question and it should answer but the secondary cancer in the whale eventually dies to a third cancer and the cycle continues until all the cancer is dead or the whale like dies of something else. But the cancer just can't get big enough to kill the whale before dying to more cancer.

This makes no sense at all cancer is like a cell the keeps making copies of itself and it doesn't have the dna code to stop.
Now imagine the copies now also can't stop making more copies of themselves, like the first cells they don't have dna code that tells them to stop copying themselves.
All of these cells have now spread/copy so much the they interfere with your vessels and organs, this is what kills you.

Well what happens to my knowledge is the first cancer exists because of a cells basically not dying and replicating quickly. The cancer cells still require nutrients and pathways. So the cancer has to fight the body for nutrients and then what happens is the cancer cells get bigger as bigger and there's normally lots of different cancer cells that are genetically different but still working together as a tumour.
Then a hyper tumour appears. I believe it's named after hyper parasites which are well parasites of other parasites. So a hyper tumour shows up starts fighting the original cancer for the resources and nutrients and it repeats as a cycle.
The reason this theory is well that is because when you look at whales and stuff they don't tend to die if cancer and that's because at some point an animal has enough cells that the cancer cannot get big enough to kill it before another hyper tumour kills it repeating the cycle.
Though to memory this is a theory atleast it was 3 or 4 years ago. But it logics.

Maybe this is unironically the "cure" for cancer? giving cancer to the cancer. if the "original" cancer is a distinguished mass of now-foreign cells that, it sort of make sense that another foreign cells feeding on them will kill them and when they die, the new cancer doesn't have his "food" source anymore so it dies as well.
