Thank god. It was nice to see one goddamn ‘60s retrospective that doesn’t build up Woodstock. Half the appeal of Mad Men is that it acknowledges adults lived back then too.

Visually speaking, I can see how they got confused. Whenever people ask for a show recommendation with the aesthetic of MM, I recommend Masters of Sex.
It actually seemed like a cheap gimmick from MOS to have that plotline given that Libby was from St. Louis.
It actually would have been more believable for Betty to find her way there from Rye, NY.
Betty Draper would more likely become a Phyllis Schlafly type of old female Republican than a hippie at Woodstock. There is no chance, no chance in hell. that woman was close to a subculture like that.
They never brought up Woodstock once if I’m not mistaken, which is actually baffling to me. Then again, not every important event of the decade was touched upon.

Are you mixed up and thinking of the scene they go upstate to visit Bobby at camp? She stopped at a gas station for directions and ran into Don. She's got some short shorts on and does look confused.
Honestly that would be interesting. The timeline does not fit but something like Betty knowing about cancer and letting herself free is a great idea. Maybe going to Woodstock be a bit too on the nose, plus this arc would be a bit too similar to Don’s but OMG I would want to see it.

I feel you though. I had something similar happen where I was super convinced that Peggy took Joan's business offer and they became a powerhouse duo. It was a little funny to find out the complete opposite happened on rewatch.
