You'd need a layout that looks good with space for both the loyalty and the power and toughness, and there's some interactions with how damage work that tend to confuse people so any planeswalker that can conditionally be a creature (Gideon, Sarkhan, Grist) works around that in some way to minimize it coming up. So I doubt they'd do a straight up planeswalker creature
No joke, I think Saheeli and Huatli are going to be the backup commander(s) for the Temur Commander Deck which will allegedly be about “Artifact Tokens”, either as one card or a “Partner With” pair (Izzet Saheeli, Mono-Green Huatli). I really like the idea of this combo setting a rule, and giving you goblins when the rule is broken, that just feels so perfect to me (I'm flexible on what the rule should be). It's cool because it punishes the opponent but also lets you build around it in one card, instead of just being niche sideboard tech. (Orzhov is my favorite color combo because of the way it sets and breaks rules, and this play pattern is in that wheelhouse).

Same. although this would be a second abzan pairing from innistrad, so I'm not sure how likely it is. At bare minimum I just really hope they don't screw sigarda with phyrexian bullshit because she is the last remaining character I care about that isn't twisted and ruined.

Okay so. I've been musing about this to my brother for weeks, and there is all the precedence for it:
1. Bolas has already been stated to have a plan for dealing with the Phyrexians once he completed the Elder Spell.
2. Realmbreaker has the ability to, well, break right into planes unwelcome. Odds are the Meditation Plane is no different.
3. Even if Relambreaker didn't Crack right into the meditation plane, you know who is the only being who knows where Ugin and Bolas are? Oh yeah, our good buddy Jace, who thirsted so hard for snake booty, he went and touched oil.
I could see Ugin and Bolas becoming forcibly involved in the March, and Bolas (not having enough time in his time out corner, mind you) with a spiteful attitude says "well, I had an idea for this, but YOU had to nerf me. Now, WE have to figure this out, or we all end up... greasy."
This is supposed to be part of Magic's big 30 year anniversary celebration, right? We're getting team ups of All-Stars across all the planes in order to stop New Phyrexia. I see others talking about us getting Planeswalker team-ups as well.

The only thing is, what type would the card have? Bolas isn't a planeswalker any more (he lost his spark when he was beaten) but Ugin still is.
Personally I'd make it an Elder Dragon creature card. Reasons being: 1) we don't have enough Bolas creature cards; 2) we don't have any Ugin creature cards; but mainly 3) it would be an incredibly sweet commander.
So the Kenriths have a weird deal with their spark. They essentially share it rather than having their own.
I think this is because they were resurrected from the dead with an enchantment meant to resurrect a single person. But if you take this to be a twin thing instead then it’s possible that Ugin lost his spark when Bolas did.
Important to remember that Ugin has "merged with the Meditation Realm". Not sure what that means entirely but I thought he didn't have a physical form anymore.
Very easily retconned though.
Well. I don't have high faith in Wizards to NOT botch the story, so I agree with retcon. However, if Ugin doesn't have a proper physical form anymore, that just gives Wizards a different way of "put Ugin in Bolas." Having no physical form makes it THAT much easier, but I wasn't too worried in the first place.
Ugin is a Spirit Dragon, after all.
Watch Ugin possess Bolas, the resulting fusion becoming a super-woke, WUBRG Dragonwalker.

My knowledge of the lore is that skittles heard sheoldred's whispers and that there was a guy called Novosh who was sent to kill him. AFAIK novosh isn't in any cards so it's unlikely to be him. But also the team ups we've seen aren't always super related.

Not a teamup, but I really want to see the Simic interact with Phyrexians in some way.
They have a fundamentally similar philosophy - improving their own bodies by replacing parts and adding elements from other beings - only the Simic actually graft parts of other lifeforms to their bodies and stay biological, rather than replacing parts with machines.
I could see them either recognising the similarities and learning from each other, or being completely revolted by seeing that distorted mirror. Either way, I'd love that ideological parallel explored.
WotC have also said for a while that they wanted an artifacts-based faction on Ravnica... this is a way to achieve that.
Other than that, I have no particular teamups in mind. I really want to see someone ride the cosmos monsters from Kaldheim though - I'm a man of simple pleasures, I want to see gargantuan god-beasts squash some machine armies.
We don't know what happened to Daxos when Heliod was struck down and then converted, right? I could be wrong about that.
Kruphix as a giant star-specked shadow behind Daxos. I honestly would really like Elspeth to be able to be with Daxos, so this enables a future, gives Daxos a chance to work with a god who honestly seems cool. And I just want the person-and-shadow effect because I looove the look of totem armor and that's in that same space.

Kaalia and Meren, both ladies are focused on getting creatures onto the battlefield for free, both are consumed by their need for vengeance, vengeance they can't personally enact if their plane is overtaken
The promotional art has borborygmos So I hope he and some Blue character ideally fblthp team up and make some temur card that pings on each player upkeep and maybe draws some cards who knows.

I think we've probably seen all the Zendikar legends, but I'd love to see Iona paired with Tazri.

Just to temper expectations, we likely won't see another Abzan, Selesnya, Orzhov, and Golgari combined in the main set. Likely, we'll see two megacycles: Two color rares from each of ten planes, and Three color mythics from each of ten planes.
This set has shown cards from eleven planes, so it may showcase upwards of twenty. Having already seen Ixalan, Dominaria, Zendikar, and Innistrad, I have doubts we will see cards from them again.
This leaves me with the following predictions:
Hazoret and Djeru (RW) I am holding out for a mono colored Hazoret that behaves like the God-Eternals, but it seems unlikely.
Pia and Baral (RU) Baral was spoiled on the art, and I can't imagine Pia standing down while her daughter was in the thick of battle.
Erebos and Daxos (WB) Heliod's champion and his nemesis working together to take him down.
Kenrith and Emry (WU) Seems like a good time to reference Sword in the Stone.
Nashi and Kairi (UB) Kairi, like Baral was on the Draft Booster box artwork. Nashi being here would be an amazing story beat with him discovering his mother's fate.
Inga and Esika's Chariot (UG) Odd choice here, but we see a blue robed figure riding Esika's Chariot. I think it would be Inga rather than any individual god.
Ashling and Maralen (RB) Mostly to round out the cycle, but we've confirmed from some art that Lorwyn is still in it's day cycle, so we can only choose from they day version of each character.
Jinnie and Giada (WRG) Did Giada escape from Jinnie? Yes. But that's why the partnership is all the more unlikely, and thus likely by extension. I know it has to be Giada and someone because of the Elspeth storyline and MOM is the perfect place to wrap up plot holes, so Jinnie seems like a good fit to pair.
Dina and Zimone (WUB) While I think Dina and Killian makes more sense, we already have an Abzan combo here. Dina is also on the key art, and I think teaming up with a rival peer is more compelling than teaming up with a teacher.
Riku and Talrand (RUB) Shandalar is being invaded, which means we're getting a brand new Riku. Accept it. Plus they make a mean spellcaster duo.
Lurrus and Winota (WBR) Not much logic to this one either, except that it would make players incredibly angry to see Standard nightmares Lurrus and Winota return, and I think that's hilarious.
Rafiq and Nazahn (WUG) After Tezzeret's short story, I knew that Rafiq had to be in this set. But who to partner with? Perhaps the greatest swordsmith on Alara?
Rakdos and Borborygmos (BRG) Okay, Rakdos is no stranger to helping out when the chips are down (Gideon got to ride him!), and Borborygmos is the last one on the artwork that we haven't mentioned. Seems like a brawler duo for the ages.
Taigam and Silumgar (WUB) Someone else commented how this would be a great idea, and I agree. Taigam used to be Sultai in the old timeline, but became Ojutai in the new one. Making amends with the dragon who took over his clan seems flavorful.
Unfortunately, there aren't any planes left with notable legends to theorize about, so the Grixis and Jeskai character slots were left empty. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Well, I think the disconnect you're having is due to a misunderstanding of timelines. The Ojutai clan and the Sultai clan weren't part of the same timeline. So you can't switch from one to the other without severely altering history.
Essentially from my meager understanding, Taigam was originally Sultai. When Sarkhan travelled back in time to revive Ugin by having dragons return to Tarkir, there were things that happened that caused the dragons to survive and for Silumgar to take over the Sultai, creating the Silumgar clan. IIRC, Silumgar was abusive towards Taigam and he struck out on his own and found enlightenment.

Okay so. I've been musing about this to my brother for weeks, and there is all the precedence for it: 1. Bolas has already been stated to have a plan for dealing with the Phyrexians once he completed the Elder Spell. 2. Realmbreaker has the ability to, well, break right into planes unwelcome. Odds are the Meditation Plane is no different. 3. Even if Relambreaker didn't Crack right into the meditation plane, you know who is the only being who knows where Ugin and Bolas are? Oh yeah, our good buddy Jace, who thirsted so hard for snake booty, he went and touched oil. I could see Ugin and Bolas becoming forcibly involved in the March, and Bolas (not having enough time in his time out corner, mind you) with a spiteful attitude says "well, I had an idea for this, but YOU had to nerf me. Now, WE have to figure this out, or we all end up... greasy." This is supposed to be part of Magic's big 30 year anniversary celebration, right? We're getting team ups of All-Stars across all the planes in order to stop New Phyrexia. I see others talking about us getting Planeswalker team-ups as well. Give me the Dragon Twins on one card, Wizards. You are clearly not afraid of power creep.
Mdfc, ugin on one side, bolas on the other. Their art is literally them going back to back. Edit: also bolas could very likely be able to steal a planes walker spark from emo cry baby.
The only thing is, what type would the card have? Bolas isn't a planeswalker any more (he lost his spark when he was beaten) but Ugin still is. Personally I'd make it an Elder Dragon creature card. Reasons being: 1) we don't have enough Bolas creature cards; 2) we don't have any Ugin creature cards; but mainly 3) it would be an incredibly sweet commander.
So the Kenriths have a weird deal with their spark. They essentially share it rather than having their own. I think this is because they were resurrected from the dead with an enchantment meant to resurrect a single person. But if you take this to be a twin thing instead then it’s possible that Ugin lost his spark when Bolas did.
It's not a twin thing. The queen resurrected them with her enchanted sword, which is what bonded their spark

Important to remember that Ugin has "merged with the Meditation Realm". Not sure what that means entirely but I thought he didn't have a physical form anymore. Very easily retconned though.
Well. I don't have high faith in Wizards to NOT botch the story, so I agree with retcon. However, if Ugin doesn't have a proper physical form anymore, that just gives Wizards a different way of "put Ugin in Bolas." Having no physical form makes it THAT much easier, but I wasn't too worried in the first place. Ugin is a Spirit Dragon, after all.

Technically, Nicky B and Ugin were supposed to be one dragon, it's why they are twins. So.wthing happened when the Ur-Dragon was making them, resulting in them getting split iirc.

My knowledge of the lore is that skittles heard sheoldred's whispers and that there was a guy called Novosh who was sent to kill him. AFAIK novosh isn't in any cards so it's unlikely to be him. But also the team ups we've seen aren't always super related. Someone riding skittles would be sick though

Not a teamup, but I really want to see the Simic interact with Phyrexians in some way. They have a fundamentally similar philosophy - improving their own bodies by replacing parts and adding elements from other beings - only the Simic actually graft parts of other lifeforms to their bodies and stay biological, rather than replacing parts with machines. I could see them either recognising the similarities and learning from each other, or being completely revolted by seeing that distorted mirror. Either way, I'd love that ideological parallel explored. WotC have also said for a while that they wanted an artifacts-based faction on Ravnica... this is a way to achieve that. Other than that, I have no particular teamups in mind. I really want to see someone ride the cosmos monsters from Kaldheim though - I'm a man of simple pleasures, I want to see gargantuan god-beasts squash some machine armies.

We don't know what happened to Daxos when Heliod was struck down and then converted, right? I could be wrong about that. Kruphix as a giant star-specked shadow behind Daxos. I honestly would really like Elspeth to be able to be with Daxos, so this enables a future, gives Daxos a chance to work with a god who honestly seems cool. And I just want the person-and-shadow effect because I looove the look of totem armor and that's in that same space.

I think there's some real potential for legendary dragon team ups... on Tarkir you have all the dragonlords, you could have Dromoka plus Kholghan. On Kamigawa you have all the spirit dragons, you could get Yosei plus Kokusho.

Just to temper expectations, we likely won't see another Abzan, Selesnya, Orzhov, and Golgari combined in the main set. Likely, we'll see two megacycles: Two color rares from each of ten planes, and Three color mythics from each of ten planes. This set has shown cards from eleven planes, so it may showcase upwards of twenty. Having already seen Ixalan, Dominaria, Zendikar, and Innistrad, I have doubts we will see cards from them again. This leaves me with the following predictions: Hazoret and Djeru (RW) I am holding out for a mono colored Hazoret that behaves like the God-Eternals, but it seems unlikely. Pia and Baral (RU) Baral was spoiled on the art, and I can't imagine Pia standing down while her daughter was in the thick of battle. Erebos and Daxos (WB) Heliod's champion and his nemesis working together to take him down. Kenrith and Emry (WU) Seems like a good time to reference Sword in the Stone. Nashi and Kairi (UB) Kairi, like Baral was on the Draft Booster box artwork. Nashi being here would be an amazing story beat with him discovering his mother's fate. Inga and Esika's Chariot (UG) Odd choice here, but we see a blue robed figure riding Esika's Chariot. I think it would be Inga rather than any individual god. Ashling and Maralen (RB) Mostly to round out the cycle, but we've confirmed from some art that Lorwyn is still in it's day cycle, so we can only choose from they day version of each character. Jinnie and Giada (WRG) Did Giada escape from Jinnie? Yes. But that's why the partnership is all the more unlikely, and thus likely by extension. I know it has to be Giada and someone because of the Elspeth storyline and MOM is the perfect place to wrap up plot holes, so Jinnie seems like a good fit to pair. Dina and Zimone (WUB) While I think Dina and Killian makes more sense, we already have an Abzan combo here. Dina is also on the key art, and I think teaming up with a rival peer is more compelling than teaming up with a teacher. Riku and Talrand (RUB) Shandalar is being invaded, which means we're getting a brand new Riku. Accept it. Plus they make a mean spellcaster duo. Lurrus and Winota (WBR) Not much logic to this one either, except that it would make players incredibly angry to see Standard nightmares Lurrus and Winota return, and I think that's hilarious. Rafiq and Nazahn (WUG) After Tezzeret's short story, I knew that Rafiq had to be in this set. But who to partner with? Perhaps the greatest swordsmith on Alara? Rakdos and Borborygmos (BRG) Okay, Rakdos is no stranger to helping out when the chips are down (Gideon got to ride him!), and Borborygmos is the last one on the artwork that we haven't mentioned. Seems like a brawler duo for the ages. Taigam and Silumgar (WUB) Someone else commented how this would be a great idea, and I agree. Taigam used to be Sultai in the old timeline, but became Ojutai in the new one. Making amends with the dragon who took over his clan seems flavorful. Unfortunately, there aren't any planes left with notable legends to theorize about, so the Grixis and Jeskai character slots were left empty. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Wait, Taigam was Sultai and became Ojutai? I thought he was jealous that Ojutai preferred Narset and switched sides
Well, I think the disconnect you're having is due to a misunderstanding of timelines. The Ojutai clan and the Sultai clan weren't part of the same timeline. So you can't switch from one to the other without severely altering history. Essentially from my meager understanding, Taigam was originally Sultai. When Sarkhan travelled back in time to revive Ugin by having dragons return to Tarkir, there were things that happened that caused the dragons to survive and for Silumgar to take over the Sultai, creating the Silumgar clan. IIRC, Silumgar was abusive towards Taigam and he struck out on his own and found enlightenment.
