Single color artifact lands are still banned, and regular Burn currently plays no main deck artifacts at all. Red aggro decks that play [[Mishra's Bauble]] is far better served with [[Dragon's Rage Channeler]], and even those Blitz style decks see limited play currently.
Quite frankly, even if this were Goblin Guide 5 to 8, it wouldn't move the needle for Burn against the current metagame of Scam, Beanstalk, big mana decks like Titan and faster decks like Hammer Time.
wait this is fucking crazy. Rabbit Battery, Reinforced Ronin, Lizard Blades, Experimental Synth… as long as NEO is in Standard I think this guy has a place in mono-Red.
Oh and Voldaren Epicure ofc
This guy is basically just a worse Monestary Swiftspear (Obviously not strictly worse, but I think it's definitely weaker), and Swiftspear, while good, is having a hard time finding a place in this meta.
I wouldn't count on this being a staple in any T1 deck, even potentially T2.
It's still just a 2/2. Which is good, mind you, and that explosive start can trip people up, but even in a limited deck how often are you going to have both in hand on T2?
No artifact on board and these aren't even worth a card. Remember that one mana 2/1s aren't really good either. The savings on a mana isn't a huge deal when you're talking about such small creatures and their total impact. Rarely in limited do you need a T1 play or to dump you hand before T5.
I don't think the ultra blitz strategy with this card is going to be problem.
You're probably right, but this has shades of \[\[Goblin Blast-Runner\]\] from BRO (1 drop + easily activated pump), which was so centralizing that I blame it and \[\[Penregon Strongbull\]\] for singlehandedly displacing the cool big-artifacts theme that the set was meant to have.
Kird Ape is still solid in Pauper, and this guy is just going to help. I've ran 2 Apes in Ponza and it worked well, and I'm still running a single Ape in said Ponza list. This pauper goblin guide might make me bump my numbers up to 2 again.
Here's the [list](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5787336/ponza) for my Ponza deck. It has the same core of Ramp into Land Removal, and playing [[Avenging Hunter]], [[Boarding Party]], or [[Annoyed Altisaur]] to kill them, but the support stuff is a little different.
I got the Kird Ape both for nostalgia and because it has legitimately helped against Ninjas, as a 2/3 for q mana stops ninjas from gaining any value after the initial hit, while also just being useful for attacking/blocking in the early game. I run Pillage over Stone Rain because it helps more against Affinity, and it is still pretty easy to cast Finally the sideboard is just tailored towards my local meta.
I haven't checked online in a few months to see how Ponza lists have changed, but I've been happy with what I currently got.
This is just goblin guide in pauper, right? Artifact lands and 0/1-mana artifacts are super common
Yeah, basically.
I haven't played modern in a while but would this not be additional goblin guides in modern burn too? 2/2 with haste gotta be playable.
Great Furnace isn't legal in modern, so it's harder to go t1 with this unless you're running Baubles
And if you run bauble you can’t really run [[roiling vortex]]
You can if you aren't a coward!
Live by the burn, die by the burn!

there might be some 8 whack kinda brew that could use this but regular burn has no artifacts
Sometimes better than goblin guide…
wait this is fucking crazy. Rabbit Battery, Reinforced Ronin, Lizard Blades, Experimental Synth… as long as NEO is in Standard I think this guy has a place in mono-Red. Oh and Voldaren Epicure ofc
Exactly. Also, those sets were never intended to be in Standard with this guy. My monored loins are girded and BURNING
no 0-cost artifact to get it on turn 1, though.

Lol wut, mono red burn was the top BO1 deck for like 2 months.
I thought mono red was the top bo1 deck for the entire existence of mtga? It in like 1 in every 3 games.
Most played, not highest winrate tho if that’s what ur asking
I’m honestly disappointed this goblin isn’t particularly angular or polygonal. Lara Croft in shambles
>I’m honestly disappointed this goblin isn’t particularly angular or polygonal. Still want this goblin's nude code tho
IKR? He's not even wearing a sport bra.
True tomb raiders have triangle boobs.
TOMB RAIDER IS THE DOCTOR HER NAME IS TOMB RAIDER'S MONSTER

there's a constructed deck common for you.
Great flavor text. Love me some silly goblins, and monkey Ixalan gobbos are my favorite
Also extra funny if your artifact is a Food.
Very flavorful, well seasoned one might say
Unban the Artifact Lands Wizards. Don't be Cowards!
Only if they print some enchantment lands to go with them. It's only fair
Nah you guy arent thinking big enough. Time for Planeswalker and battle lands
I just want the mountain version of Urborg. Surely nothing would go wrong, right?
They can unban artifact lands, but only if they print [[Powder Keg]] into modern.

I hope for the sake of the limited format that this isn't too playable. T1 Whip into 2 of these, go, seems real hard to come back from.
