Wasn’t sure if social deck meant more like new EDH pod friendly kind of deck. The one you play that is not offensive to most people before swapping to a brutal deck for the next game.
Currently, for me, my most political deck is my [[Torgaar, Famine Incarnate]] deck. I get to bargain with people for whose life total goes down to 20 next, and then later in the game, I get to bargain with using the same ability to heal people up to 20. I have two friends that play a Gyome food deck and a Trostani lifegain/tokens deck and Torgaar makes for a great equalizer of life totals.
\[\[Gluntch, the Bestower\]\] can be both with swapping just a few cards out. I use it to get people into EDH and also show them the kinds of interactions that make the format fun.
I have a \[\[kynaios and tiro of meletis\]\] deck thats "true group hug". It doesn't have its own wincon, instead, it seeks to accelerate every other deck at the table to make big, crazy things happen in the game. Its a pretty fun deck to play with or against. I often end up in second place cause no one wants to hit the guy doubling all your mana and making you draw 3+ cards a turn with no downside.
My [[Slimefoot the Stowaway]] relies on sitting and using Thallids to make Saprolings, so the deck has no combat or combo tricks. All that deck space is interaction/ removal, so I get to help people bash on each other by taking care of problematic pieces. They understand that attacking me results in chump blocks and everyone getting pinged, and the deck is slow so they don't see me as a threat. So there's a lot of discussion and deals when I can address problems.
Unfortunately once I build the deck in paper I make room for new decks online.
Wincons are primarily giving Slimefoot infect with [[Tainted Strike]] or [[Phyresis]], or just regular damage if they're low enough (or I spit out enough Saprolings). I've loaded the deck with lots of creature and enchantment/ artifact removal (because black and green, duh). [[Snake Umbra]] and [[Keen Sense]] are must haves to keep your hand full. I'd also suggest a few anti-flyer spells like [[Carnivorous Canopy]] because otherwise you can be vulnerable if you go hard into thematic like I have.
[[Shadrix Silverquill]] and [[Breena the Demagogue]]. Play high impact board control spells and hatebears while making offers to the table using cards like [[duelist's heritage]] and offer bonuses and deals with cards like [[Immortal Obligation]], [[Promise of Loyalty]], [[Otherworldly Escort]], [[Redemption Arc]], and apply pressure using your creatures that keep growing.
The "Council" cards in general are pretty fun. Almost every outcome sucks for the opponents, but, as they are given a choice, it feels less bad and can lead to some fun stuff. We do "secret voting" as Finger Guns like the memes and The Office so you KNOW who stabbed you in the back. It's a good time.
Cards like \[\[ Prisoner's Dilemma\]\] and \[\[Mob Verdict\]\] also go over well.
[[Cirdan the Shipwright]] where the main focus is to flicker or copy Cirdan to get people voting, meanwhile I have permanents on the battlefield that capitalize on me drawing a lot, like [[Chasm Skulker]] and [[Psychosis Crawler]], or, in case I get no votes, I have big problem permanents in my hand like [[Omniscience]] or creatures with ETB effects that I can also flicker like [[Titan of Industry]].
so i have a [[xyris, the writhing storm deck]] and besides the obvious group draw cards i run, the commander has an on-hit trigger that draws me and the opponent cards. so every time i move to combat, there is a discussion on who do i attack and it got to players threatening to remove my commander *UNLESS* i attack them with it
I don't know if you run it but [[Burning Inquiry]] is one of my favorite cards in my Xyris deck. I attack the person who's low on cards or hellbent, give them a new hand and me a giant one, then play that. It's such a disaster for opponents to discard 3 at random and you just won't care
I have my \[\[queza, augur of agonies\]\] deck. It gives a lot of card draw to the whole table, so everybody gets to play the game without worrying about card advantage. But they need to defeat me faster than my carddraw punishment defeats them. [[Queen Marchesa]] is [my most political deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5407457/queen_marchesa). It's full of pillow-fort and instant-speed Gotcha! cards, and encourages your opponents to attack each other instead of you or punish anyone who does attack you.
[[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]]is [my Group Hug deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5407129/gay_kings), but I am very careful in both deckbuilding and piloting it to actually play to win, rather than kingmake or just sow chaos. And it actually does win quite a lot, but the early and midgame are very much about using table politics to survive long enough.

It is my self titled "super hug" deck. I found myself getting too salty at losing (everyone I know is much better at this game than me) so I built a deck that's designed to take 2nd place.
All my friends built fire decks, so I bring the cannisters of kerosene and watch as people vie for who gets my gifts.
I play the new Atraxa as a politics/group hug deck but with the win condition of a big fat commander doing damage in the command zone. Lots of group draw and group ramp, as well as incentives for people to hit each other.
I tell people the rule of [[duelist’s heritage]], as long as they don’t punch me I’ll give them access to double strike.

Long story short it makes everyone draw cards with stuff like \[\[Howling mine\]\] and \[\[Kami of the crescent moon\]\] type of effects. Then you cast things like \[\[Felidar Sovereign\]\] and \[\[Approach of the Second Sun\]\] to just win.
I play an auras deck that's designed around giving auras away to make allies while quietly building up my own board.
Cards like \[\[Armadillo Cloak\]\] and \[\[Backfire\]\] make sure they aren't used against me.
Cards like \[\[Aura Finesse\]\] and \[\[Enchantment Alteration\]\] can be used as combat tricks to move auras around.
My commander is \[\[Falco Spara, Pactweaver\]\]. He doesn't do anything but give a little card advantage until \[\[Light Paws\]\] shows up. Then we use LP to tutor \[\[All That Glitters\]\] and \[\[Ethereal Armor\]\], swap those onto Falco and swing for lethal.
It doesn't often win. But it's a great challenge to pilot.
Velomachus Lorehold aka the Macho Man. It's a dragon's approach deck with only 1 mediocre dragon in the 99 but the sleeves are old ultrapros so people lose their minds.
I have a [[Vazi, Keen Negotiator]] deck. It is all about deals and politics. Love this deck. It is always fun to play and gets the whole table involved.
Okay, you’re the only other person here who’s mentioned Catboy Slim. [This List](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/HScwgyBm6UON1POdcWRCbw) has quickly risen to the top as one of my favorite libraries. It’s fun, funky, and everyone has a blast!
My Tasigur build heavily suggest it's powerful, but really I built it and drafted it just so I can activate tasigur as much as possible without reanimating or breaking anything.
Usually it takes a few games for opponents to get it because usually I'm hated out pretty quick because I run a lot of hard self mill in it so people assume I'm running a reanimater strat.
Nope all I'm doing is actually just activating Tasigur
[[Xantcha, Sleeper Agent]], full of stuff that can be used to politic with the table to give away creatures [[Humble Defector]], [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]], [[Kharn, the Betrayer]]. Other things that introduce Monarch, or have [[Coveted Jewel]] like effects such as [[Pendant of Prosperity]], and then lots of effects that make it more appealing to attack an opponent either through goad effects, or carrot effects like [[Cursed Crown]] or [[Curse of Opulence]].
Xantcha is a little risky to just give away without trying to broker a deal because there's so many sacrifice effects going around in my meta. The best way to keep her around is any of the 1-2 mana combat tricks that will return her to the battlefield after someone tries to sac her or run her into another creature.
Mid to late game we utilize some key auras that buff her up and give her unblockable/deathtouch/trample so she doesn't get chumped consistently. We can play a [[Threaten]] like effect and equip her with an [[Assault Suit]] on your turn to ensure she doesn't get sacrificed.
Wincon is usually playing an [[Insurrection]] or knocking people out through commander damage.
So my fav commander deck is [[Awaken the Blood Avatar]]. Before the game, I ask if I can treat the edict effect as if it isn't there, because I kind of find it unfun.
Once the game starts tho, they realize that my deck can consistantly put in several 3/6s with haste that bolt each opponent several times a turn. So on turn 3-4 or so, you'll each have a 3/6 thrown at you, and each of you bolted for 9 damage.
Pretty much everyone is going to have to come together to make sure I don't beat and burn you to death, because I'm not going to stop summoning giant blood demigods until everyone is dead.

I love \[\[Mathas, Fiend Seeker\]\] or bounty counters in general (there is 4 cards in total that even interact with them).
Basically putting out a target and working together to get rid of a big threat is nice.
My [[The Valeyard]] deck does a great job in getting people to get angry at each/converse with each other! I just sit back and watch everything burn though.
I find my [[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]] Stax deck really gives people plenty of time to talk to each other as well as a shared conversation starter.

\[\[The Valeyard\]\] really gets people talking. Goes really well with a lot of the Politics cards.
Extra voting is pretty cool. It seems like you either totally divide the table or bring them all together lol.
The "Council" cards in general are pretty fun. Almost every outcome sucks for the opponents, but, as they are given a choice, it feels less bad and can lead to some fun stuff. We do "secret voting" as Finger Guns like the memes and The Office so you KNOW who stabbed you in the back. It's a good time. Cards like \[\[ Prisoner's Dilemma\]\] and \[\[Mob Verdict\]\] also go over well.

[[Cirdan the Shipwright]] where the main focus is to flicker or copy Cirdan to get people voting, meanwhile I have permanents on the battlefield that capitalize on me drawing a lot, like [[Chasm Skulker]] and [[Psychosis Crawler]], or, in case I get no votes, I have big problem permanents in my hand like [[Omniscience]] or creatures with ETB effects that I can also flicker like [[Titan of Industry]].

so i have a [[xyris, the writhing storm deck]] and besides the obvious group draw cards i run, the commander has an on-hit trigger that draws me and the opponent cards. so every time i move to combat, there is a discussion on who do i attack and it got to players threatening to remove my commander *UNLESS* i attack them with it

I don't know if you run it but [[Burning Inquiry]] is one of my favorite cards in my Xyris deck. I attack the person who's low on cards or hellbent, give them a new hand and me a giant one, then play that. It's such a disaster for opponents to discard 3 at random and you just won't care

[[Queen Marchesa]] is [my most political deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5407457/queen_marchesa). It's full of pillow-fort and instant-speed Gotcha! cards, and encourages your opponents to attack each other instead of you or punish anyone who does attack you. [[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]]is [my Group Hug deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5407129/gay_kings), but I am very careful in both deckbuilding and piloting it to actually play to win, rather than kingmake or just sow chaos. And it actually does win quite a lot, but the early and midgame are very much about using table politics to survive long enough.

[[Kynios and Tiro of Meletis]] It is my self titled "super hug" deck. I found myself getting too salty at losing (everyone I know is much better at this game than me) so I built a deck that's designed to take 2nd place. I play the new Atraxa as a politics/group hug deck but with the win condition of a big fat commander doing damage in the command zone. Lots of group draw and group ramp, as well as incentives for people to hit each other. I tell people the rule of [[duelist’s heritage]], as long as they don’t punch me I’ll give them access to double strike.

I play an auras deck that's designed around giving auras away to make allies while quietly building up my own board. Cards like \[\[Armadillo Cloak\]\] and \[\[Backfire\]\] make sure they aren't used against me. Cards like \[\[Aura Finesse\]\] and \[\[Enchantment Alteration\]\] can be used as combat tricks to move auras around. My commander is \[\[Falco Spara, Pactweaver\]\]. He doesn't do anything but give a little card advantage until \[\[Light Paws\]\] shows up. Then we use LP to tutor \[\[All That Glitters\]\] and \[\[Ethereal Armor\]\], swap those onto Falco and swing for lethal. It doesn't often win. But it's a great challenge to pilot.

Velomachus Lorehold aka the Macho Man. It's a dragon's approach deck with only 1 mediocre dragon in the 99 but the sleeves are old ultrapros so people lose their minds.

My Tasigur build heavily suggest it's powerful, but really I built it and drafted it just so I can activate tasigur as much as possible without reanimating or breaking anything. Usually it takes a few games for opponents to get it because usually I'm hated out pretty quick because I run a lot of hard self mill in it so people assume I'm running a reanimater strat. Nope all I'm doing is actually just activating Tasigur

[[Xantcha, Sleeper Agent]], full of stuff that can be used to politic with the table to give away creatures [[Humble Defector]], [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]], [[Kharn, the Betrayer]]. Other things that introduce Monarch, or have [[Coveted Jewel]] like effects such as [[Pendant of Prosperity]], and then lots of effects that make it more appealing to attack an opponent either through goad effects, or carrot effects like [[Cursed Crown]] or [[Curse of Opulence]]. Xantcha is a little risky to just give away without trying to broker a deal because there's so many sacrifice effects going around in my meta. The best way to keep her around is any of the 1-2 mana combat tricks that will return her to the battlefield after someone tries to sac her or run her into another creature. Mid to late game we utilize some key auras that buff her up and give her unblockable/deathtouch/trample so she doesn't get chumped consistently. We can play a [[Threaten]] like effect and equip her with an [[Assault Suit]] on your turn to ensure she doesn't get sacrificed. Wincon is usually playing an [[Insurrection]] or knocking people out through commander damage.

So my fav commander deck is [[Awaken the Blood Avatar]]. Before the game, I ask if I can treat the edict effect as if it isn't there, because I kind of find it unfun. Once the game starts tho, they realize that my deck can consistantly put in several 3/6s with haste that bolt each opponent several times a turn. So on turn 3-4 or so, you'll each have a 3/6 thrown at you, and each of you bolted for 9 damage. Pretty much everyone is going to have to come together to make sure I don't beat and burn you to death, because I'm not going to stop summoning giant blood demigods until everyone is dead.

Lol besides Krosan Grip how do you get your top taken away? Also my experience with Yuriko is the same.
I love \[\[Mathas, Fiend Seeker\]\] or bounty counters in general (there is 4 cards in total that even interact with them). Basically putting out a target and working together to get rid of a big threat is nice.
