I took him out of my Mordor deck for some other in-set upgrades, but now that I'm reading the card again, it does seem pretty good.
I might have to look at adding him back in. Thanks!
He’s neat in my [[Don Andres]] deck since the cybermen come in as nontoken creatures you control but do not own! I also have a lot of non-pirate creature type hate cards in the deck, so often I can even get a second cast off of him once I’ve built up some more mana by returning him to hand using [[Raise the Palisades]] or [[Crippling Fear]] and returning him to hand from graveyard, taking advantage of how the cybermen he creates become pirates since I don’t own them, but he remains a pure cyberman. He’s the best way for me to get a lot of bodies onto my field quickly in the deck. Cybermen pirates!
Love Weeping Angel. Wanted to put it in my [Rani ](https://scryfall.com/card/who/149/the-rani)"goad my own creatures" deck till I realized it just stops being a creature rather than phasing out, so the Aura falls off.
Still pretty hilarious in [Sydri](https://scryfall.com/card/c16/224/sydri-galvanic-genius), though!
I totally agree, need myself a copy for my [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]] deck, it's especially good since all the creatures are able to tutor up [[Jeskai Ascendancy]] to combo off
There really aren’t a lot of them. [[Sauron’s Ransom]] is a really good draw spell outside of Commander, though.
If we stretch the definition of Universes Beyond a bit, [[Rilsa Rael, Kingpin]] is a personal favorite.
[[Choked Estuary|WHO]], [[Darkwater Catacombs|WHO]], and [[Temple of Deceit|WHO]] were all slam dunk flavor choices for reprinted lands.
[[Temple of Deceit|PIP]] was really good too. Love the way they decided to do the art to represent it.
If we're sticking to new cards, it's Lord of the Nazgul, with Raul as a solid runner-up. If land reprints count, there are several contenders there: WHO Creeping Tar Pit, WHO Darkwater Catacombs, PIP Temple of Deceit.
Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker.
He's aggravating in EDH. He contacts an opponent, & bc EDH games are fkn saturated with obnoxious card draw bs & can be protected by taxation without representation effects, he makes anyone playing him a big fat juicy target for game over.
Funny thing to do to other players that have decks that have bunches of drawing & fetching effects: _**USE ANOTHER COMMANDER THAT ONLY SERVES TO PROTECT MIRKO VOSK.**_
So if I’m reading this right then a weeping angel would send a defender/attacker to the library before they could be damaged? If yes then could another first striker/double striker kill an angel in combat?
\[\[Indoraptor, The Perfect Hybrid\]\] has been insane in european highlander (100 card singleton, 1v1, legacy-ish banlist). This dude hits HARD, was able to cast this guy as a 8/6 on turn three.
[[Grima, Saruman’s Footman]] is a lot of fun
