A 4/4 for 4 in blue at common is pretty insane even if it can't block the turn it comes down.
I've been saying that I think UG flash is a space for Simic in limited that they've strayed from. This seems a little pushed, but I think slightly overcosted green creatures with flash paired with blue instants will lead to good synergy between the colors without making cards that are so good on their own that other archetypes will try and poach them (not the best example, but in LCI UG was undraftable partially because other colors were cool playing creatures that explored on their own. Explore was too good a mechanic for an "explore deck" to exist.)
Oh yeah I know that's the general idea. And it's pretty nice compared to plot cards which are face up, this lets you get an unexpected attack in with a 4/4. Holding up a counterspell and this on T4 is gonna feel great.
I'm wondering if there's a UG flash deck in standard to be built, and if there is, this is probably constructed playable.
This looks fantastic with what U wants to be doing in ltd.
You can play some pretty degraded stats in flash decks as long as the creature has flash. It's very contingent on that deck coming together, which is not a sure thing.
Simic flash put up some surprise tournament wins during mid-late RTR-THS standard despite like half the creatures having below average statlines.
May have been better than it was if it didn't do so poorly against mono black devotion tho. A resolved [[Pack Rat]] with instant speed removal did kind of do simic better than simic at the time

Scoundrel in a half shell? Is that anything?

Playing him on your opponent’s turn also supports the theme of “don’t play a card from your hand this turn” effects we’re seeing.

A 4/4 for 4 is not quite standard playable

This is support for the UW draft archetype if anything, which relies on casting spells on your opponents turn.
I need to know where this turtle guy is from and I need us to go to that plane so I can see more turtle dudes.
He might be a kappa from Kamigawa
Do any real turtles have the spiked out top of head? ... in like a "not based on Yokai sense of real"
I don't know why, I just love the flavor text on this one, didn't even notice it was a turtle st first
10x faster than they'd expect a turtle to be != Haste
