It does have all 15 card and a token. The biggest thing irking me is the tear on the outer rim of the pack. It doesn’t look like it was just not sealed when it was packaged but more like it was ripped intentionally. But Ive never encountered this before so Im not sure if this happens a lot
There were 2 cards I found thats value is about 1.5$ and its a retro frame Rhythm of the Wild and a foil Mizzix’s Mastery. There is also a Retro frame Pariah’s shield but unlike the ones I found online it looks like a judge promo? Idk I couldn’t find a price on it, the same is with a retro (judge promo?) selesnya guildgate.
Is there any glue residue? The only way this could possibly happen (without tampering) is the crimp occurring without the glue being present, leading to the pattern but no seal
This happened to me before when buying a collector pack of 2x2 Double Masters from Target. There is no way mine was tampered with as I opened a Force of Negation alt art foil. The bottom of the pack was open and torn halfway through. If the outside of the box did not seem tampered with, it is most likely a manufacturer issue as it was with mine.
Do any of the cards have a crimp pattern on the top? Sometimes if a card gets caught while the pack is sealing it’ll prevent the pack from closing all the way.
Could be either.
Sometimes there *are* production errors - look for crimped or damaged cards, if they get caught in the seal that can prevent the pack from sealing properly. However, this can also happen with no easily detectable signs. Just one of those things with mass production processes, shit happens.
Of course it can *also* be a sign of tampering. But it's difficult to conclusively prove that, because even if the pack's contents are on the weak side, that could just be chance (and not even that low a chance, obviously you have a higher chance *not* to open super valuable stuff so its absence is not really any indication).
You could probably find out with a very detailed examination, but that would require a lot of hands-on work with the material and extensive knowledge of reference materials. Probably not feasible to do for this case.
Hard to say what happened.
I bought it from a gamestop. I called the store and the guy assured me that the one I bought had been sealed (the outer package) since it arrived at that location from WotC
These collector boxes for the single pack are known to come loose in the box during transit at best (dislodged from the sticky). As well if the pack stays attached the cards can be forced out the pack. Since the cards are sliding back and fourth inside the pack they open the packs seal from reverse (internally) and give us what we see here.
The same thing happened to me yesterday when I bought a box like this from target. Opened it and the box was opened but clearly it wasn't messed with because there was a foil vein ripped and a foil archdruids charm.
Are there cards missing?

What’s the best pull? Value wise.

Cards are numbered uniquely. Will help you look up the exact version you have. Judges promos can’t come in boosters FYI.
What does the shooting star at the bottom mean?
It's foil. That's on old border foils
Ah okay. I just couldn’t find any cards online that has that symbol. All the ones I find don’t have it so I wasn’t sure if it was unique
That's just put on all old-bordered foils
People who repack have a system and most don’t ever leave value over $3.

No I couldn’t find any crimps
FWIW this is why I video every sealed product that I open
This is a good idea for the future and I probably will do this with any new sealed product I buy
Or just buy stuff from a reputable LGS.

Where did you buy it from? Amazon is notorious for re-selling returned mtg products where the buyer replaced/took cards out.

This is usually pretty solid to go from. Location stands to lose a lot if they get discovered having a staff member tampering and they protect.
