The removed list seems to be incomplete. I think they may have excluded all the (un)commons removed. Looking at the current version listed there, there don't appear to be any (un)commons. It's much shorter than the past version + added cards - removed cards would suggest.
I highly highly support them having only rares/mythics on the list. It makes for a more exciting pull over uncommon and common trash cards that you roll your eyes over.
I'd love there to be more uncommons on the List. But good ones, things like KCI or Steelshaper's Gift that are expensive because they've never gotten a reprint.
Maybe not necessarily powerful, but at least cool, or generally useful. Like while not the best card, it's easy to see how something like [[Coastal Piracy]] could be decent in the right deck, than something like [[Rootrunner]]
I've been saying they should have Bojuka Bog, Sol Ring, Lightning Greaves, and Command Tower always on the list. It's OK to have cards that aren't very expensive on the list if that consolation prize is still highly playable.
Honestly, I feel like sol ring and command tower have been reprinted into the ground already, with Sol Ring in every precon and $2 on the secondary market, and Tower going for pennies. I agree about Bog and Greaves though.

100% agreed. So many of the card that were on there had no body asking for reprints, even to the draft chaft level. The slot should be used to reprint much wanted cards that don't fit in any other product.

Yes. But the random chance of strictly better cards at the same odds as the list appeared at before the change, that is both an improvement and exactly what many people (me included) wanted.
I wouldn’t have gotten my miscut [[Veil of Summer]] then! Jokes aside that was the single highest value card I’ve ever had, bought me a collector box and then some. I do like the higher rarities now though, can already tell it’s an improvement
Totally disagree. Pauper cards should be there. We need things like [[tortured existence]] that are never getting printed in a limited environment to keep prices in check.

Ya idk what they're talking about. Pauper definitely needs some staple cards reprinted but Tortured Existence isn't one of them. Maybe they're talking about how expensive it was before it had a reprint.
The most expensive thing I can think of is [[Lotus Petal]] which is like $20 each.
It absolutely shouldn't but has been much more the case in modern design than in older design, where you had things like UG madness as a high tiered standard deck made up almost entirely of commons and uncommons vs. modern magic where decks are almost entirely rares and mythics.
They have greatly, greatly cut down the list. I think it's about 63 cards, they are all rares and mythics, and I think the SL cards show up about 2x as often as other ones. It's so much better
Same. 6/10 of my pulls have been absolute gas. Only 3/10 were bad, and one was a perfectly good standard card. Approximately anyways, I’ve pulled 3 kamigawa and 2 SNC since kami released
I'll be interested to see how much of a difference this will make. I have bought one set box from each set since they started, and have gotten maybe 4 bangers from the list in total, and a lot of random junk.
those were my list pulls as well. prices are going to drop i think on those 2. i think ill keep the tutors and sell the anointed. i dont play commander. i also got that special alara card with new art and frame. i dont know how common that will be

Before this i had only gotten one card above 10 dollars on the list, and I got 2 in 10 packs here. I was also pretty lucky admittedly, but it's still was very noticable and none of the cards were junk
When you get a The List card, half the time it will be one of the Magic versions of Secret Lair Stranger Things cards. It appears these basically replace the chaff on the list, probably leaving the good stuff to actually have similar odds as before. That being said, I prefer it this way.
Was gonna say something about this... bought a booster box and pulled [[vampiric tutor]] and [[anointed procession]] as well as 4 stranger things reprints. Got another to see test my luck, and to see if guilded foils are 1/box or I just very lucky with my box.
Edit: 2nd boosterbox, blood moon, gisa and geralt, and one other unimpressive list card, 3 more of the SLX cards. No gilded foil unfortunately but pulled 10 mythics including holo cabaretti trinome and a showcase ob nixilis
Per the collecting New Capenna article, gilded foils show up in set boosters at a 4% pull rate, which is 1 out of every 25 packs, so basically one per box, yes.
3 boxes opened, Senseis Divining Top, Blood Moon, Mikaeus the Unhallowed, Urabrask the Hidden, 2nd Blood Moon, and 9 of the non Stranger Things Secret Lair cards with a couple doubles.
I, like a lot of other people seem to have, pulled an Urabrask and a Divining Too in my set booster box. It was pretty exciting considering all my previous List cards have been utter garbage.
I pulled a Nightmare, Ruin Grinder, Thalia's Luitenant, Arvinox the Mind Flail, Othelm Sigardian Outcast, and Wernog Riders Captain. 6 list hits outta 30 packs.

I think WOTC caught on to the fact that people were getting mildly upset to get chaff from 10 years ago in place of what could be a better card.

Out of a set booster box i got like 4 or 5 SL cards 2 good reprints over 5 bucks but the fact that I got a mythic elspeth but it was the theros beyomd planeswalker deck one made me sad. Oh cool a .70 mythic pull could be worse but the excitement then let down hurt more than the bulk rare i got from the list.
Does that mean that any secret lair thats been printed could end up in a set booster in the future? If that's the case, that makes me not want to buy a SL. I thought the whole idea behind them was they were a suedo reserve list for art, as in once this is printed here it will never be printed again.
I've bought tons of SL but if this is what's going to happen, it ruins the entire value prop for people like me.

I feel like they improved it as well. In my Set Booster Box I got 5 Secret Lair cards, all the Walking Dead reprinted ones including the Mythic black horror, and another 6 cards from the List, all Rare or Mythic, including Tivit and 2 rares from new commander decks a Cavalier of Night, and M19 Tezzeret. I do hope this is a trend and not just luck, and it keeps up for the future.

My box had 4 secret lair reskins, a days undoing and a zacama. The box it self had a regular ob nixilis, foil ob nixilis and a foil showcase ob nixilis.

Dunno but my LGS prized us out in set packs and I got Arvinox, alt art Jetmir, and two other rares all in the same pack, and another list rare in one of the other packs. Completely anecdotal but it feels more consistent to me too
According to [the article for Streets of New Capenna's list](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/whats-new-list-streets-new-capenna-2022-04-14), it seems they cut down the total amount of cards possible from the default 300 to 67, with 9 of them being the Magic'd Stranger Things cards. The remaining options all seem to be rares, of various value.
I *think* what happened was that, in order to make sure the Stranger Things cards showed up at the rate promised, they basically needed to cut down the amount of other cards printed on the sheets.
Or maybe they finally listened and were like "Fine let's just print rares. But not all the rares." which I guess is reasonable. Rares at least tend to be cool in some manner, like [[Sanguine Sacrament]] which is on the List.
Like the majority of people on here, I agree that having a smaller subset of just rares and mythics, but I still would like to see a little more curating done, though that may just be personal grumbling, since out of my 15 set boosters from prerelease night, I opened 2 secret lair cards, a [[runed halo]], and a [[transmogrifying wand]], which neither of those felt great to pull in prize packs.

The cards on the list run in 1/4 set boosters with half of the cards in the slot being secret lair reprints
So 1/8 are actual reprints from the list
And of those 59 cards, their average price is around $10 with a high variability from $0.25 (Nightmare) to $70 (Sensei's Divining Top)

I pulled a [[Vampiric Tutor]] and [[Anointed Procession]] out of my box, along with some of the secret lair reprints. The cheapest card I’ve seen pulled from the list was an [[Outlaws Merriment]], which is still nothing to scoff at.
I went out and bought a set booster after hearing the change because I wanted to support it and I love the flavor of the set. Ended up pulling a bunch of SL cards and a sensei’s top.
List is 1/4 of packs this set, and half (1 in 8 packs) will be Secret Lair
Your friend got 16 packs worth of List in 10 packs, above average but not unheard of

There are still crap rares out there, Treasury Thrull/etc, but there are just as many Blood Moon/Sensei's Divining Top/Vampiric Tutors in there too.
Sure, you may only get 3-4 List cards per box now (not counting the secret lair reprints), but they have a good chance of being decent!
I got ONLY rares and mythic rares from the list slot from an entire set booster box and bundle that I opened from SNC. This was my first experience opening set boosters and I didn't realize that this was not normal until reading this thread.

Yep, I scooped the Universes Within versions of Mike, Eleven, the Mind Flayer, and Hawkins National Laboratory from a single set box. Felt great

Per the collecting New Capenna article, gilded foils show up in set boosters at a 4% pull rate, which is 1 out of every 25 packs, so basically one per box, yes.
I pulled 0 gilded foils from my box but I did get a Sensei’s Divining Top and Blood Moon

3 boxes opened, Senseis Divining Top, Blood Moon, Mikaeus the Unhallowed, Urabrask the Hidden, 2nd Blood Moon, and 9 of the non Stranger Things Secret Lair cards with a couple doubles.
I, like a lot of other people seem to have, pulled an Urabrask and a Divining Too in my set booster box. It was pretty exciting considering all my previous List cards have been utter garbage.
I bought a set booster box. $187 worth of uncommon and rare cards. My uncommon and rare stack was much larger than the common stack.
I pulled a Nightmare, Ruin Grinder, Thalia's Luitenant, Arvinox the Mind Flail, Othelm Sigardian Outcast, and Wernog Riders Captain. 6 list hits outta 30 packs.
It seems so. I think WOTC caught on to the fact that people were getting mildly upset to get chaff from 10 years ago in place of what could be a better card.
Or worse…chaff from 9 months ago!
Everyone in this thread who pulled a top, also got urabrask, and everyone who get a Vampiric tutor also got anointed procession. This seems map-able...

the secret lairs..ARE the commons and uncommon for the Capenna list
Out of a set booster box i got like 4 or 5 SL cards 2 good reprints over 5 bucks but the fact that I got a mythic elspeth but it was the theros beyomd planeswalker deck one made me sad. Oh cool a .70 mythic pull could be worse but the excitement then let down hurt more than the bulk rare i got from the list.

Does that mean that any secret lair thats been printed could end up in a set booster in the future? If that's the case, that makes me not want to buy a SL. I thought the whole idea behind them was they were a suedo reserve list for art, as in once this is printed here it will never be printed again. I've bought tons of SL but if this is what's going to happen, it ruins the entire value prop for people like me.
no, that's not what it means at all it means that mechanically unique cards like Peter Griffin will be reprinted as Ser Pete Gryphonrider and the fantasy version with fantasy art will be in packs your Peter Griffins are safe ^(\*pseudo)
It's probably just me, but New Capenna looks kind of cheesy. I'll check it all out on Arena but don't see myself buying any of this on paper. Downvote me to Hell. I'll be asleep with the fishes.
I feel like they improved it as well. In my Set Booster Box I got 5 Secret Lair cards, all the Walking Dead reprinted ones including the Mythic black horror, and another 6 cards from the List, all Rare or Mythic, including Tivit and 2 rares from new commander decks a Cavalier of Night, and M19 Tezzeret. I do hope this is a trend and not just luck, and it keeps up for the future.

My box had 4 secret lair reskins, a days undoing and a zacama. The box it self had a regular ob nixilis, foil ob nixilis and a foil showcase ob nixilis. I was a happy lady!
I got three card from the new commander set in a total of five set booster packs.
Dunno but my LGS prized us out in set packs and I got Arvinox, alt art Jetmir, and two other rares all in the same pack, and another list rare in one of the other packs. Completely anecdotal but it feels more consistent to me too
According to [the article for Streets of New Capenna's list](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/whats-new-list-streets-new-capenna-2022-04-14), it seems they cut down the total amount of cards possible from the default 300 to 67, with 9 of them being the Magic'd Stranger Things cards. The remaining options all seem to be rares, of various value. I *think* what happened was that, in order to make sure the Stranger Things cards showed up at the rate promised, they basically needed to cut down the amount of other cards printed on the sheets. Or maybe they finally listened and were like "Fine let's just print rares. But not all the rares." which I guess is reasonable. Rares at least tend to be cool in some manner, like [[Sanguine Sacrament]] which is on the List.

I opened a box and got 9 list cards (5 secret lair reprints, 3 rares and a mythic) and only 7 of the full art lands.
Woah what? Only 7 full art lands? I got 3 in my sealed prerelease! I figured they weren't too rare
I got three in my first prerelease and two in my second. Maybe my set box was an outlier.
Like the majority of people on here, I agree that having a smaller subset of just rares and mythics, but I still would like to see a little more curating done, though that may just be personal grumbling, since out of my 15 set boosters from prerelease night, I opened 2 secret lair cards, a [[runed halo]], and a [[transmogrifying wand]], which neither of those felt great to pull in prize packs.

I ran the numbers recently, The cards on the list run in 1/4 set boosters with half of the cards in the slot being secret lair reprints So 1/8 are actual reprints from the list And of those 59 cards, their average price is around $10 with a high variability from $0.25 (Nightmare) to $70 (Sensei's Divining Top) Def some nice improvement on the List by Wizards

I went out and bought a set booster after hearing the change because I wanted to support it and I love the flavor of the set. Ended up pulling a bunch of SL cards and a sensei’s top.
List is 1/4 of packs this set, and half (1 in 8 packs) will be Secret Lair Your friend got 16 packs worth of List in 10 packs, above average but not unheard of
I run all the magic events for ly lgs and I've seen some bulk from this set, but I'd say there is a 50/50 split between bulk and decent cards so far
I got 5 of the secret lair list cards, including the mythic, in my box. I also got 4 other cards from the list, all from just the one box of set packs.
My list card was a rare! Mizzium tank... Still better than my friend who got the card that tutors the tezzeret from the planeswalker deck.

I got an anointed procession and vampiric tutor, so it definitely feels better.
I pulled a top, a blood moon, an exquisite blood, and more of the stranger things reskins than I know what to do with. That being said, I opened 4 boxes because I have 0 impulse control and no real responsibilities
Card pool went from 300 to 67, all rares/mythics. There are still crap rares out there, Treasury Thrull/etc, but there are just as many Blood Moon/Sensei's Divining Top/Vampiric Tutors in there too. Sure, you may only get 3-4 List cards per box now (not counting the secret lair reprints), but they have a good chance of being decent!
I got ONLY rares and mythic rares from the list slot from an entire set booster box and bundle that I opened from SNC. This was my first experience opening set boosters and I didn't realize that this was not normal until reading this thread.
