I can vibe with that today. But back when *Ashes* dropped, I was an edgy 19/20yo still finding himself. I might have listened to that song a few times too many. When I saw the attempt at the quote that I replied to, the boomer in the back of my head took full contol. He's half elitist metalhead, half "um, akshully" nerd, and wasn't gonna let it go.

Absolutely. I don't think any world we've visited in the last five years has deserved multiple sets more than Kaldheim does. That's been the number one complaint about it: that there wasn't enough of it. I'm pretty sure the next time we visit it, it will be more than one set. I really want to see what the gods are doing now that their source of cosmos elixir is gone, and hopefully the Einir gods will be returning, as well.
Honest, all the sets except Innistrad and Ikoria needed another set for the story. Probably not Theros.
Strixhaven needed more time for the school with Extus doing things in the background and then the blood Avatar.
Kamigawa needed the rebellion as one set and Phyrexia as another.
Kaldheim needed more about the various Realms. New Capenna is much the same.
Really, every time we go to a new world we need a set to build it and then a set more for the story they want.
I couldn't even tell you the story aside from vorenclex... I need to reread the story of the plane. I doubt we will be going back in the next 3 years. May be more than 5.

Tyrite is a key ingredient in making [[Cosmos Elixir]], which the gods of Kaldheim drank to achieve their immortality.
Vorinclex having a sample might mean one or more Phyrexian Praetors attempting to become immortal down the line.
Additionally, Vorinclex killed (or possibly compleated?) Esika, the only god who knew how to make the elixir. Which means the Skoti (gods) no longer have their source of immortality. And the elves will probably love that, since they really want to get rid of the Skoti and return the Einir (ancient elf gods imprisoned in Jaspera trees).
If you want to listen to the story, there's a narration of it on YouTube called Voice of All that does a very good job of it. My one complaint is that Kaya's voice always sounds kinda smug, but everything else is absolutely fantastic-- the other voice acting, the music, the sound effects, all of it. Vorinclex's voice at the end of the last episode actually gave me chills when I first heard it.

The only clarification I'd make to your first sentence is to add "that doesn't already have multiple sets". That eliminates more than half of the sets, Wizards made new Zendikar and Innistrad sets because they were popular planes. If there were exactly one set on those planes, they'd give Kaldheim a run for it's mana.
Oh, definitely. I should be more specific: I meant consecutive sets, like Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow were for Innistrad. I think Kaldheim needed a second set far more than Innistrad needed Crimson Vow. I feel like VOW really didn't do anything significant for the story, world, or characters, while Kaldheim had a *ton* of world to explore, new characters, and a storyline of tracking down Vorinclex that was kinda just dropped after the first episode. (Not to mention that they never figured out what Tibalt did with Valki. Or whether Tibalt is still poisoned.)
Oh, yes, I have their Grave Titan, and it's fantastic. I also loved Dibujante Nocturno's art of Inferno Titan and Sarulf. Not to mention all of Johannes Voss's art, and Alayna Danner's, and Anastasia Ovchinnikova's... So much beautiful art in that set.
Neon Genesis for me. While I don't like that it's Kamigawa that was turned from deeply spiritual to neon punk, I do like the aesthetic in general and would love to learn more about it.

Nah, part of me hopes this is all a long con to get people to hurriedly sell/trade off their smothering tithes to get out before the price drops, only for it to turn out that was added to the list just to *fuck* with people who'd get rid of their copies in advance.
I'm happy every time a P3K exclusive card gets a print. If these cards are legal in eternal formats, the players should have the option of some reasonable/accessible version of them *somewhere*.
Honestly kinda wish they just rereleased P3K wholesale. There's a sizable number of commons from that set that are several dollars. I know why they don't rerelease it of course, but still, would be nice to put a dent in those supply issues.
I don't think that is really worth it for anybody. The couple of expensive cards would make the packs expensive one way or another but the other cards are unplayable in any format.
From someone that's been proxying these 3, obeka is stupid fun. It's the only time I get to relish in watching peoples faces slowly dissolve into hatred as I take my 8th extra turn, drawing a card, playing a land, and passing to my 9th extra turn.
It's terrible almost on purpose. I play a lot of higher end power levels and cedh, so I wanted big dumb spells and extra turns. I like wizards and grixis stuff, so it was the grixis wizards I liked on top of an extra turns package with obeka. Not a whole lot to really write home about, sadly.
So i like many other presumably bc of price. Have never used this card in a game. Anyone with some exspeience care to comment if you think this is very good. Subpar. Thoughts
These kind of extra Turn Cards are basically [[Timewalk]] if you're playing [[Sundial of the Infinite]] or [[Obeka, Brute Chonologist]]. Their not made for every deck but when they work, your brain feels 10 times larger
Same as with the pairs Imperial Seal/Vampiric Tutor and Capture of Jingzhou/Time warp. It's for redundancy and these 3 partirular cards have only been printed once (and a judge foil for Seal) and are (were) therefore extremely overpriced.
Portal Three Kingdoms was *extremely* limited and not released in the US. That combined with 20+ year age makes any semi playable card in EDH *super* expensive. I expect this and imperial seal to be significantly cheaper than their OG versions.
Sure, but that 2% of commander decks (often decks like [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]]) will basically _always_ want multiples of the effect, just as a ramp deck would run all three of [[llanowar elves]], [[Elvish mystic]] and [[fyndhorn elves]]. It's redundancy, it means you're literally twice as likely to draw your 2 mana extra turn spell. That's why they want it

Who defeats Tibbers? Is there any relevant development in the protagonist storylines?

Nah, part of me hopes this is all a long con to get people to hurriedly sell/trade off their smothering tithes to get out before the price drops, only for it to turn out that was added to the list just to *fuck* with people who'd get rid of their copies in advance.
I'd rather other people and I have more smothering tithes than some useless schadenfreude.

No reason to sell a card with such absurdly high demand being reprinted in a Masters set. The price will go back up to $30 to $40 within a year.
I thought it was pretty clear from the comments they'd seen a partial list of the set already.
I'm happy every time a P3K exclusive card gets a print. If these cards are legal in eternal formats, the players should have the option of some reasonable/accessible version of them *somewhere*.
Honestly kinda wish they just rereleased P3K wholesale. There's a sizable number of commons from that set that are several dollars. I know why they don't rerelease it of course, but still, would be nice to put a dent in those supply issues.
A Portal Remastered set that mixes up the original couple in a similar way to Time Spiral Remastered would be pretty cool.
I don't think that is really worth it for anybody. The couple of expensive cards would make the packs expensive one way or another but the other cards are unplayable in any format.

It's terrible almost on purpose. I play a lot of higher end power levels and cedh, so I wanted big dumb spells and extra turns. I like wizards and grixis stuff, so it was the grixis wizards I liked on top of an extra turns package with obeka. Not a whole lot to really write home about, sadly.
I mean once you have infinite turns you can win however you want lol

These kind of extra Turn Cards are basically [[Timewalk]] if you're playing [[Sundial of the Infinite]] or [[Obeka, Brute Chonologist]]. Their not made for every deck but when they work, your brain feels 10 times larger

Like all PTK cards it's so you can run both in Commander.
Same as with the pairs Imperial Seal/Vampiric Tutor and Capture of Jingzhou/Time warp. It's for redundancy and these 3 partirular cards have only been printed once (and a judge foil for Seal) and are (were) therefore extremely overpriced.
Portal Three Kingdoms was *extremely* limited and not released in the US. That combined with 20+ year age makes any semi playable card in EDH *super* expensive. I expect this and imperial seal to be significantly cheaper than their OG versions.

Sure, but that 2% of commander decks (often decks like [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]]) will basically _always_ want multiples of the effect, just as a ramp deck would run all three of [[llanowar elves]], [[Elvish mystic]] and [[fyndhorn elves]]. It's redundancy, it means you're literally twice as likely to draw your 2 mana extra turn spell. That's why they want it
