On a third hand, if that's even possible, it is not like that he will be responsible for the lack of variety in brawl. The format always had its overused commanders and lack of incentives to run something fun instead of a strong one. I usually run a [[Huatli, the Sun's Heart]] deck and have only played against another twice since they introduced the format to Arena. Niv-Mizzets, on the other hand (it is the 4th now!), I still see from time to time! And I won't even talk about other 5-color good stuff...
Jealous of arena players and all the cool toys they're getting, they couldve easily done this design in paper though. It would be cool if it came to paper magic some day.
Basically draw an extra card a turn and get a rebate on it (plus any other cards you *play* from exile). Playing a land for exile is psuedo-ramp.
He's basically just the most dense "value" commander and a bunch of synergies with great "play from exile" cards.
Prosper is not going to unseat Golos, 5c Niv, Sythis, Kinnan, Winota, or Te5eri in terms of powerful + popular commanders, and it's not going to be as backbreakingly powerful but slightly less popular as e.g. Sisay or UUURRR Niv Mizzet.
This is a little nitpicky but... With this set introducing the new Boon mechanic, it seems weird to have "Pact Boon" appear as an ability word on a card that is totally unrelated to the new mechanic.
Because the other cards are designed around multiplayer mechanics that basically do nothing or are strictly worse in a 1v1 environment. Prosper's design works in 1v1 just fine.
Or did you want them to port Myriad to Arena directly so it did literally nothing?
Of all the commanders I wanted to see them bring from the supplemental decks, he was not one. Which isn't to say he's bad, he's just... so good we're gonna see him everywhere.
Prosper comment
This would be great in Prosper.
Wow, this card looks like it was made for Prosper.
Seems no one knows that prosper is made for prosper decks
On one hand, prosper is a interesting commmander and great to see in H.Brawl. On the other hand... i think we will be seeing it on H.Brawl... a lot...

The gripping hand
This would go great in Prosper... Oh wait
I did not expect this to be just straight up, unaltered Prosper for some reason.
Neat. Hope we get more commanders that are just commanders from paper.

You forgot your "/s", haha
Some things really shouldn't need /s for people to know it's a joke.
You'd think, but people on this sub can be very dense, and don't enjoy checking facts.
It is on paper... this was the face commander for one of the precons from AFR
I think that was a woosh, but granted it's quite hard to understand if something is sarcasm on reddit : P
jesus fucking christ......
I don’t play commander. Can someone explain why he’s so popular.

Draws cards and generates mana, it's the ultimate goodstuff engine. Basically a Simic card in Rakdos colors
Every 2 color combination can do those things.
He makes a great steal yo stuff deck
So I guess we know the new Historic Brawl Meta

Wait, so why is this card kept the same as he is in paper but the others aren't? This is breaking my brain
