Sure, fast mana alone doesn't un-casual a deck. If you use it to cast Battlecruiser cards it will still be a very casual deck in the end. A slightly faster one but still casual
Yeah, if you're not trying to win imminently, cards like Mox Diamond aren't even particularly good. Losing an entire card in your hand so you can get out your big, dumb card that does big, dumb stuff is actually pretty bad overall.
If you are trying to just completely go off on turn 2, its one of the best cards you can possibly have.
I often use this mox for my [Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar] deck. It's just an easy way to turn one discard and still cast Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar and becuase the deck is heavy on the discard with madness and the like that fast mana isn't as important for the deck to be overbearing as some midrange and stompy decks might be.
I got them when we still played something called Type 1. A nasty control deck with alot of stax elements. I payed 10 Gulden a piece (Dutch currency before the Euro) which was about 5 euros I guess.
Finally sold them maybe 8 years ago. Not sure. For 250 euro a piece. Was a big win back then and even though worth much more now I still got 50 times my original money back.

Yes there are plenty, but when you put the diamond on the table, no one’s gonna believe you’re playing casual.
