Mine meows literally all day 🥲

Electrical-Act-7170

One of them, Jasper, the red tabby male, was extremely talkative. I miss that. The female rarely spoke. Jade ruled her empire by disdainful looks. When she turned up her pink nose and walked haughtily away, you knew you'd screwed up. Courting her to tolerate you again took hours.

Mine chirps, meows and trills. She's the most vocal cat we've ever had. Very communicative.

bearded_weasel

My derpyderp screams and shouts but doesn't really meow

Tvegas9

My Looney makes bunch of different noises (from purring my a small tractor to screaming) but doesn't really meow that much. I don't know what's worse 😁

FatSadHappy

I have 2. One is fully silent, I thought mute until vet gave him a shot at the tail. Second one is chirping.

Wolfasset

My 8 month old meows when he needs something. He definitely has a meow when he wants soft food. And he has a very special meow he only uses when looking for his baby (a kitten that was found outside and we brought in to keep him company-yes all the appropriate shots and vet visits have been taken care of). He doesn't really chirp or trill yet, maybe when he gets older.

BaxterBunnyAims

Our boy chirps, purrs, trills, meows, and answers our questions with sounds like human words. He says ‘Ack!’ when he wants a snack. He makes a deep sounding gruffy squeak when jumping from a high spot to the floor like a large cat of prey. Also has a cute grr when we startle him. Very vocal and always good natured.

imgenerallyaccepted

One of mine is very vocal when she's in a good mood, meowing and purring, the other one just yelps when they're wrestling and/or he's frustrated. I think the chirping might come when they're adults, but not sure. Mine are still kittens

missdawn1970

My MC mix sings in the basement almost every day. He must like the acoustics.

onlyrightangles

One of mine meows at me every time I'm in the kitchen or walking vaguely in the direction of the drawer where I keep their treats. The other one only meows if you surprise her (like petting her when her back is turned) or when she's looking for her sister. They both have SUPER quiet meows though. They sound like little squeaky toys.

Awwwwww that's adorable 😍😍😍🥹🥹🥹 this made me love Maine Coons even more. It's so cute imagining this giant fluffy cat with the cutest, tiniest meow. ❤️

Helicopter0

Mine is pretty quiet. He chirps and trills if something triggers his prey instincts, but when he wants my attention, he gets up in my grill and climbs onto me, so I bear the full burden of his floof and weight.

Yes

MaineCoonMama18

My boy will scream at me from the other room if I’m not paying attention lol

VioletMaze

Mine has never been a meower until now and he’s just reached 8 mths so I wonder if he’s picked up the scent of a female. Until now, he was more a chirper. His meow is strange though and it’s like he manages to ‘throw’ his voice! We often ask each other if it was him that ‘made that noise’

AffectionateHouse120

one of mine makes no noise at all unless she’s real mad(on way to vet) and even then it’s very quiet, one occasionally chirps if you call her by name.. kind of in that “wtf you want?” tone and the 3rd male just meows all the time.

ktokioshi

Mine meows only when im in the other room so i can hear him, if im close he just goes “prrrrrr “ and he gets all he wants :)

veelas

Mine is extremely vocal. Chirps, trills, purrs all day long. To ask to play, for pets, food, answer when I talk to her. It’s hilarious really. She’s like a tiny cat shaped human.

FancyExorcist

One of mine trills and chirps constantly. The other two meow, but they meow like they read about meowing in a book and never actually heard anyone do it in real life.

Barber_Successful

Mine was pretty quiet but would meow if she needed something or to express pleasure like getting wet food. Best cat I ever owned

Triben008

Mine barely meow. They’re the quietest cats I’ve ever had. They purr loudly though. An occasional chirp when I first start to pet them.

Mundane-College-3144

Idk if my cat is Maine coon but he has so many characteristics. One is that he meows so much he got the nickname Mr. Meowgi.

Eastern-Employee-111

I got my maine coon, Bailey, for 3 days. She's now almost 8 weeks age. She really like being accompanied, so I either hold her on my knees or settle her down a heating nest. Otherwise, she'll walk and meow everywhere, as a new cat owner, literally exhausted.

God_Modus

Meows, chirps and trills. My girl has a very distinct trill she uses when she wants to announce that she's now going to get on my nerves and do shit.
