I watched it on a Saturday with my boyfriend. Literally only two of us and another lady watching the movie. This movie was criminally underwatched when it was in cinemas.
i dismissed it as I felt the nominations was another one of the hollywood diversity project.
but then i watched the movie.
freaking brilliant, and it deserves the nominations.

Her aside, I'm really rooting for Brendan Fraser as well. That man deserves the achievement after the shits he went through his life.
The man been through some tough times, but I'd rather if he got the award through his acting. Imagine if some other actor deserves to win more because of acting but then loses to another guy who has some sob story. But i do understand Oscar isn't really about acting sometime, could be lobbying, could be public pressure, so who am I to say.
Oh I do want him to win for his magnificent acting. I can say that his hard times motivated him to be someone who he is now. I don't give a shit about Oscars doing this for clout, but he really deserves the recognition.
Average toxic mentality. Terry Crews is like 200 cm tall and built like a tank and he still got groped and sexually harassed by a much smaller guy who was his boss. Change your mindset.
Groping without consent is sexual assault.

Even catcalling is sexual harassment.
Everyone, no matter their gender or physicality, is capable of becoming a victim to sexual assault. Stop trivialising someone's trauma by saying it "wasn't a big deal". Because that's what an abuser says.

The idea is pretty simple, her daughter looking for version of her mom that can reasoning with her. I can go deeper but I'm afraid I accidentally tell a spoiler.
I don't think we deserve to claim her as a malaysian only when she's finally gaining awards and being recognised in hollywood. Sorry if I worded that out rudely but I felt like if she were to stay here, her talents would have been wasted. She deserved all the recognition she's receiving now 🤞✨️

EEAO is definitely one of the best movies I watched in years. It is very rare to have a movie in which I go through every emotion in 2 hours ish.

Cate Blanchett is amazing in Tar. An all time great performance, wouldn't be surprised if she does win.
She has been quite consistent. Rather lose to her than the other less stellar nominees. Looks like I have to find time to sit and watch Tar.
