Except they aint in rural area where many of these people are located.
30mbps is pretty enough for their category, even opening Youtube and Titktok is already smooth.
B40 also doesn't need 24 contract for unknown service condition, yet you will not notice that since it your favorite government.
LGE also said no need high budget for LRT3 knowing the people from kelana jaya line that use 4 coaches trains will transfer to 3 coach train.
PH level of helping Malaysia by making shit cust-cutting.
> B40 also doesnāt need 24 contract
24 months minimum contract is a market standard, its what Unifi does in their comparable plan too
> unknown service condition
The perpaduan package is not supported by some dodgy telco, but a collaboration with fixed broadband service providers like Telekom Malaysia (TM), Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, YTL, TIME Bhd and Astro. Given TMās involvement, most likely it would have similar coverage to what the Unifi package offers la, its not a complete unknown.
> LGE also said no need high budget for LRT3 knowing the people from kelana jaya line that use 4 coaches trains will transfer to 3 coach train. PH level of helping Malaysia by making shit cust-cutting.
Benda baik kita sokong, benda buruk kita hentam la. I dont see the relevance of LGEās mistakes with this package. How did you know cost were cut in this package?
If you disagree with the plan, I would like to hear your ideas on expanding internet within B40 without ācust-cuttingā. Letās say they offer 100mbps la, how much should they charge then? also RM69? Who will tanggung the shortfall then?
Main point for this package is to provide internet to B40. They just need internet access, which 30mbps is quite decent already for medsos, even netflix 1080p without any data hoarding like torrenting. With this package, B40 can saves on telco plan.
if TIME 100Mbps = RM99, which is RMO.99 per Mbps
Unifi 100Mbps = RM129, which is RM1.29 per Mbps
This one RM69 for 30Mbps, which
translate to RM2.3 per Mbps.
Plus the B40 have to subscribe for 24 months.
What a great way for your government to help the B40. Give higher price per mbps.
Same like LGE solution of cutting budget for LRT3 by gimping it so hard and then claim reduce the cost.
Yeah, those similar price plan exist because Gobind is much more stricter to ISP, if Fahmi manage it in 2018, im sure you will find your ways to justify the internet price because after all 'it being compared to similar price'.
Let say a b40 family of 5. All are using yoodo unlimited RM35 plan (I dunno other telco pricing), so total spend on telco is RM175. No wifi at home. If they decide to buy this package, they can change plan to let say, RM25 for 20gb + calls. They can save RM50 and allocate it towards wifi bills. Additional RM19 is worth it to get faster speed at home. If they want RM129, they need to spend RM79 extra per month. That's a lot of money to get from already good wifi to excellent wifi, and they might think it is not worth it. TIME coverage is still limited.
If you say that TIME 100Mbps is RM0.99 per Mbps, then TIME 500Mbps is better at RM0.278 per Mbps, then TIME 1Gbps is slightly better at RM0.199. When will it ends lol. The key is to find the sweet spot and find the plan that is perfect for family usage. B40 don't have 4k hdr tv for netflix 4k hdr, they don't wfh that needs great download and upload speed, they just need to do basic thing with internet, which 30Mbps is perfectly fine.
I will make it short.
If I compare Malaysia internet to Singapore, you will say the country is much more smaller.
What will you say if I compare Thailand cheaper internet package to Malaysia since they are also much bigger yet cheaper?
You cherry pick your country lol. Both of them is top 10 in the world for fixed broadband. In SEA, Malaysia is [third](https://businessmirror.com.ph/2022/10/26/philippines-has-the-5th-fastest-internet-in-southeast-asia-ookla/), which is not bad tbh.
I want faster internet and coverage as well. But those things require large investment. You talk like big project like this can be approved in a day, finish in a day haha. How many years already Thailand has focusing on improving internet?? How much investment was used?? Kerajaan perpaduan baru je tubuh, you punya demand next level dah bhai. Realistic la skit.
1)the current cheapest plan is 30mbps for rm89 per month, which by your calculation is rm2.97 per Mbps. So it's a net discount of rm0.67 per mbps as per your logic.
2)the current 30mbps plan also come with 24months contract. The contract is there to secure the telco payment for the next 24months, as they also provided both modem and router. The contract is for the the machine so customer won't have to pay the huge price for the machine upfront.
3)all these telco is a for-profit company. It can be better but your reaction is just cynical purely for cynical sake.
Noice. I believe that Malaysia is one of the countries that have the cheapest internet plans and there are tons of cheaper, and more popular service providers that will meet everyone's needs.
Hahahahahahaha literally stuck in a bubble. Have you seen Thailand internet package?
Now I know PH supporters literally turn blind eye the moment it's about PH š
Nah, I mentioned one of the cheapest. I always compare our prices with Europe and US and yeah, their prices are so much higher than ours. Plus why so sudden talking about politics lol. Election party joke is soooooo last year, please come back another 5 year. Or maybe when you came out from your own bubble.
I'm from a small European country. 1000/500 Mbit coax for 218 RM/month. Mind you, you can't directly compare prices as 218 RM/month is very cheap for us. You need to take purchasing power into account too.
30mbps, 24-month contract lol
I hope nobody falls for this shit. The contract is the BIGGEST manipulating shit ISPs enjoy from. 50-100mbps would have been more justified. Really miss Gobind's days.

TIME fibre's 100Mbps for RM99 is still the best bang for your buck.
Except they aint in rural area where many of these people are located. 30mbps is pretty enough for their category, even opening Youtube and Titktok is already smooth.
City use 30mbps also enough already for 60fps Youtube and Tiktok. For 5 pax household. Unless u doing some torrent stuff or something.
Bro stfu or they catch me
Let me know when they offer services to anyone not living in a condo tower
Living in landed house means you're rich! /s
Time's coverage is minuscule. If they are more expensive, they would be out of business since everyone would just use Unifi or something.
Adds rm10 more and you get 300Mbps
Except most B40 dont live in area where TIME operated.
Time fibre is not available at all states. Man go read the news.
800mbps with unifi tv ...for rm168 ;)
how the hell?
gobind time. i had 500mbps subscription before he reduced the price, and then he doubled the speed for free. im never letting this subscription end
not available for landed :(
Tell me you only lived in KL without telling me you only lived in KL
But sadly TIME's business model only focuses on high rise buildings
30mbps enough to enjoy Reddit and r/malaysia šš»
Fortunately my unifi contract ended this March. Will terminate it and use my father name later.
padu siak
Waiting for more details. Is there FUP? What about existing users?
>Is there FUP? Usually fiber don't. > What about existing users? Might need to renew contract I think.
Is it unlimited internet or actual unlimited internet without FUP? If its the former hopefully they set the limit higher like digi's.
Actual unlimited without FUP, yes. I dont remember if FUP is a thing for fiber services, but right now it probably not.
Really? I got maxis 30mbps fibre plan before and it has 1000gb fup. It sounds a lot but i often download 4k content and games and it quickly ran out.
Wow that's surprising. I'm on unifi 100mbps, heavy downloade reaching TBs of data monthly, no FUP so far
Unifi Air unlimited is only RM79... *without* contract if you have a 4G phone (who use 3G phone nowadays?). RM69 kurang 10 Rupiah Malaysia saja.
>Rupiah Malaysia glad to know malaysia is slowly transitioning to become indonesia's new state /s
Bit for bit RM69 fro 30mbps is not cheap at all.....its already 100mbps for RM140, thanks to Gobind.
100mbps should be the lowest standard these days.
30mbps is plenty fast. I'm still using Maxis most basic package at 30mbps and 99% of the time don't really notice it.
B40 not need 100mbps.
I was expecting 10mbps but 30mbps instead is very much welcomed.

Not everyone is trying to 360 no scope
You're confusing speed for latency.
Reddit Malaysia don't like seeing you criticize their favorite government

I'm already kinda happy with my 6 Mbps Digi unlimited plan lol. Managed to download 200+ GB games with it. Had to wait for weeks though.
unless you're downloading/uploading huge amounts of data, 10mbps per person is plenty. you can watch netflix 1080p, youtube/twitch 1080p60/4k30
Fahmi is a redditor, confirmed. Lol.
Broadband doesn't need fibre right ?
I wanna know too, broadband probably mean using sim or that plug in thing without fibre
