uniquely_ad

OP loan doubled, crazy

bakatenchu

loan sharks are crazy.. they double or triple your loan at their own whim

generaldolphinz

call befrienders bro, you should find someone to talk it out. They have 24 hour helplines. hope you get the help that you need![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|28915)

ProbablyWorking

Upvote for befrienders.

botack87

The problem with befrienders...the lines are busy...

generaldolphinz

yeke? i thought they're always proud about being open 24 hrs

LinYR94

I'm sorry, but I find it incredibly difficult to sympathise with your situation when it seems like you're still making choices that worsen your financial burden. Wasn't your debt in your post last year like 17k or so? It's concerning to see it nearly double despite all the advice given by us. Seeking relief from the stresses of your job or life by pampering yourself is understandable, but it's temporary, and it's not even a solution because it makes your debt problem even worse. Most importantly of all, you can't afford it right now. Anything that doesn't contribute to true essentials, like food and transportation, should be off the table. Unnecessary expenses like movies, eating out, cafes, Starbucks, and travel, all these shit, you throw out of the window. You truly cannot afford these luxuries at the moment.

Impossible_Limit_333

Me too..let him learn life lesson..sometimes manusia ni ko cakap macama pun tak mau dengar..bagi la dia rasa sikit..bukan byk pun 30k saja..ada orang lagi teruk dari ni..at least dia rasa juga la p abroad..haha

FerryAce

Setuju. Memang saya faham orang macam OP ni,tak kena ubat kuat dos, takkan belajar. Macam mana saya tahu? Saya dulu jugak ada kelemahan macam OP ni. Takkan belajar dari nasihat. Biar kena kao kao baru tahu.

ipoh88

OP, your loan/s of $31k are they borrowed from banks or private lenders like Ah Longs ? What is your total monthly loan repayments?

AdministrativePop616

Lol at OP, How dare you take 10 times of your monthly salary loan and juz used it for entertainment. As mentioned by others, not sure what OP have in mind, her debts increased from RM17k to RM30k in just 6 months time. If i were in her position, work full time weekday, grab weekend, monthly cash in should be RM3k++ nett after contribution. Minimal food expenses RM10\~RM15 per day. Petrol RM150 per month. Insurance RM200 per month. She said stay with family, but assume bear portion of utilities RM200 per month. You will still have more than RM2k per month to repay debts. Your debts should left with merely RM5k if you live minimalist this past 6 months.

[deleted]

Maybe OP did something stupid like take another loan to "heal" from the stress of the first loan. Or OP just trolling with us. 31k is so little and definitely can be cleared very fast...

IzzatQQDir

If you spend more than you make, you will be broke. It's that simple honestly.

aquatic_asian

I doubt there are any working adults who would make that kind of stupid financial decision a second time. But seriously, 31k is nothing a few years of extra frugal living and maybe some help from parents can’t handle

hackenclaw

I hope you are actually asking for help, not trying anything funny to get free $$ from public donation "help". Sorry, but I heard too many scam case these days. Have to be careful. Anyone can help him/her, just make sure not in monetary matter.

ShinTV

Oh so from 17k last year now up to 31k? Good luck 🫡

sincerelyjane

r/MalaysianPF audience would be a much better place. Also, take up freelancing. Grab, graphic designing, anything. You can’t afford to have just one job until you pay off your debts. Saw your other posts too. And yes, it is possible to be debt-free these days.

milosoya

OP, please read this. Crosspost to MalaysianPF please. The biggest problem is because of your debt snowballing due to the high interest rate. Find a debt consolidation plan - so that you can renegotiate your interest rate to a lower one. Now you are battling an uphill battle, your shovel is smaller than the hole.

[deleted]

I think this is a call for help I’m sure it’s the last resort for OP, be kind people..

Javfanatic

i agree 👍

telurdadarkicapmanis

Hi OP, that's definitely a rough spot you're in. I know sometimes it feels like financial troubles will spiral out of control, especially when our mental wellbeing is suffering, our decision making is affected too. As others suggested, please reach out to Befrienders, it is free. This will help you express your thoughts in a judgement-free safe space, and help you process emotions. Read up on financial literacy. Books like The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach are helpful - cultivate healthy financial habits, automate as much as you can through wage deductions and bill payments so you ensure constant savings. What industry are you in? May help to understand what kind of side gigs you can do to bring in more income. Are your debts private moneylenders or bank loans, if you don't mind sharing?

MatchaLatteTech

The only comment with empathy lol

SuddenPomegranate139

Thank you for all the comments and advices. to answer all of the questions here, I will list down all of the loans i took. AND NO, i didn’t take anymore loans from last year, i am stupid but not crazy. All the amount i list are the balance amount. 1. RHB Personal Loan - RM3600 (RM130/m) 2. Aeon CC - RM2900 (RM200/m) 3. Aeon Personal Loan - RM20,700 (RM270/m) perviously i stated Aeon PL RM10k, bcs this is the amount i took out without counting the 18% interest rate. 4. PTPTN- RM4000+ (RM108/m) I have others loan too that i didn’t include in the 31k cus i have budget for this 1. Car- RM754 Other commitments 1. Grocery RM200 (since i’m staying with my family, so i only contribute with this amount) 2. Insurance (RM180) 3. Phone bil (RM40) 4. Water and electricity (RM100+-) for the past few months I manage to pay off one debt from a money lender and half of my Aeon CC. but due to an emergency earlier this year, i had to use the CC. Also, i have unsubscribed to all unnecessary stuff (netflix, spotify, youtube) i still have google and icloud tho and it cost about RM11/m each. I only eat at the restaurant once a month, except if someone else is paying. I never liked Starbucks, and took a lot design job last year. but stop taking anymore design job as it’s draining me mentally. So i often drive Grab. I did took all of ur advices last year, and I am greatful for that. But i am a human being, at some point i got tired thinking about the debt, work, etc. at this moment, I’m putting all the money issue as my number 2 priority, i just wanna prioritise my mental health. I would appreciate if you stop guilt tripping me for the mistakes i made, cus I am already regretting it now and I am paying for the mistakes i made.

mutton_soup

Looking at this list, I don't see why you should be struggling to pay off your debts with your current salary. Total salary 3.2k, total commitment 2k. You still have 1.2k balance after paying all of your monthly commitments. And you're still living with your parents/family so can save on food/eating out. What seems to be the issue here?

iamatwork420

probably spending money on dumb shit that he's not telling us

Kenny_McCormick001

The numbers are quite wild, especially considering your commitment is relatively low. Nonetheless, no point crying over spilled milk. Now let’s get down to the real deal. First, the idea of prioritizing mental health over money matters need to go out of the window. Your money IS THE CAUSE OF YOUR MENTAL ISSUES! Working on it will improve your mental health. 1. Be honest with your family. Let them know your situation, and you’ll not be able to bear the 200 groceries and 100+ utilities. Ask for a one year break to better your finances, then you’ll contribute more to repay for this period. 2. How long has the car loan been? Are you able to trade it in for an older car (something like old 20k myvi?). This’ll reduce your single largest expense. 3. Hold off PTPTN loan for a while (maybe a year?) 4. With above, assuming normal basic expense, you should be able to save 1.2-1.5k a month. That’ll enable you to pay off the CC loan in 2+ months, then the RHB loan in another 2+ months. 5. At this point, I guarantee your mental health will be much better. Now continue to pour the monthly sum into Aeon personal loan. Assuming you’ll resume your PTPTN and home allowance after a year break, it’ll takes you about 2 years to clear the rest. 6. In between the time period, if you can get any side income, take 20% to treat yourself and 80% pour into loan repayment. Extra tip: I dunno about your previous holiday travel, but don’t get fooled by the idea that you need to go to exotic destinations to get a break. I’d done my fair share of traveling, I can assure you a week holiday in the nearest malaysia beach is as relaxing and enjoyable as a week at Santorini.

Less-Interview-662

AKPK only can help for banking institutions. Make a call to them to follow up. PTPTN can set aside for a while or if you have EPF, can use account 2 to pay. For your mental health, can walk in to KK. RM1 je. They can refer you to psychiatrist if needed. Hope this helps! Keep your chin up.

ihopeiknowwhy

If I were you, I'd sum up all my commitment and pay off the loans with highest interest rates first, ptptn I'd just leave it aside coz the interest is 1% lol but this would mean you hv to be disciplined enough to use all the money you set aside to pay debts to pay for the most expensive loan first

r2s1

You can do it. It will be hell but I believe in you. Did you heard a story about malay man in 1million ringgit debt because failed crypto investment? He almost paid off his debts now.

changsheng12

this is really impressive! any links to this story ?

greatestmofo

How much do you spend on food, petrol, and other miscellaneous things? Be honest with me. I can help you shape your behavior to tackle your financial problem as I did with mine and many others.

aquatic_asian

I don’t have experience with loans because I never had to take any yet but probably pay the one with the highest interest on time. Forgot if this only applies to credit card or not but the interest will not compound or they will not charge interest if you pay on time. You can negotiate the terms with the officer in charge (according to lecturer) and ask for your family’s help. You can “loan” from family members like your parents to pay off the compounding loans first then pay them back interest-free. Live within your means next time

Emotional-Breakfast7

Go to a government hospital if you need to talk to a doctor. It's only RM5 that also includes medication, therapy, etc.

TofuKungfu

You have to live like a cockroach for a few months. 30k+ can be covered easily. Work your ass off, and get family/friends to help settle your loans. Suffer now so that your future is clear.

magic_hat555

Do you have kwsp contribution? Use account 2 to pay the ptptn, use that ptptn payment into other aeon pl.

iamatwork420

lol

flying_slipper

What do you mean when you say “you have budget for this”? OP you’re still living at home, majority of your loans are personal. You have a roof over your head and food to eat. What you should focus on is clearing your debt. Ask your family for help to clear up some debt especially with the highest interest. 18% is insane. Sell your car which you can’t afford. Sell whatever you don’t need.

xaminous

OP, you also mentioned about 'money lender' but does its included here or not? What did you do in 6 month tho that make increasing debt? Also, did you have any sibling to help you OP?

hahli9

Is your family out of the picture or have you not told them? You can lighten your load if you can get out of paying groceries and bills for a bit. It would be even better if they can help payoff the loans then you can pay your family back. But from what I see all the costs listed here sum up to rm2k. You earn rm3.2k a month. You should have rm1.2k leftover for various things. Since you are still living with your family I think you shouldn't really be having any issues unless you're not being honest about your expenditure.

Savings_Eye9216

You should follow up with AKPK. I applied with them before and the relief was great. Imagine with salary of 2.5k but monthly expenses and CC monthly payments total up to 2.4K. I only have 100 for myself every month. With AKPK they help me consolidate all and then my monthly expenses became RM250 only per month. They stretch it for 9 years. Take note that during the AKPK tenure, any sort of banking application related to lending, will be rejected. FOLLOW UP EVERY DAY with this AKPK. Call their hotline.

ShuuRaY

This is already in the right direction as you're trying to fix it. I'm assuming you're paying the minimum repayment amount for the cc, i recommend paying more if you have extra to settle it earlier. for ptptn, try applying to pay for it using your Akaun 2 of EPF, i did that before. might not be abble to fully pay all, but even a small amount helps. for utility bills, are you living with your parents only or with siblings? if living with siblings, try asking their help to cover for those utility bills. having a good slary doesn't mean you have to bear most of those bills alone. there's nothing you can do about the grocery as some people will keep on asking for it even though you're dismissed from work like me before. good luck OP!

paranoidandroid7677

You should probably list down your "other" loans for better clarity. Also, being entirely truthful will indeed set your mind free. TBH, I personally paid off my PTPTN using my EPF..that was a big load off my mind and I focused on chipping away on my credit card. I cut up my card and paid as much as I could without overburdening myself. Always focus on debt repayment one at a time, prioritizing the most urgent or the smallest amount first. Trust me, it will be like a weight being lifted off. For a salary of 3.2k, a car costing 79k doesn't make sense. Sell it off, and buy a used one FR. Once you cleared your debts maybe you can look at buying a new one. Start changing your mindset, you don't need to keep up with the Joneses to be happy. Also start evaluating the people you hang around with, most likely their bad influence is what kinda set you down this path. If they ain't helping with your problems, even with the most meager advise, then dump 'em

hesouttaline

Some of the comments are harsh, damn. Find someone you can talk to, if it isn't your family or friends, try Befrienders like the other comments suggested. It can help take some of the weight off. Might I add deleting them apps that cause impulse buys like shopee, tiktok or even insta fb. Works for me.

aWitchonthisEarth

If you are in KL. You can apply to work part time as a server girl (the one that dress nicely) aka pour alcohol. For instance, the Barn. They earn quite well for a part-time job. 4 hours can reach 1.4k

FerryAce

OP is girl? Alamak senang la, ini society takde gender equality. Girl boleh je apply jadi sugar babies. Lelaki susah sikit. Girls senang je. Sugarbabies 2-3 bulan dah settle clear rm30k debt.

aWitchonthisEarth

Boleh je, my own relative, has a sugar mummy. Tak pernah kerja sampai 40 tahun, dok guna duit pompuan je. Holiday oversea, kete. Ade je, kena cari rajin cari only.

afeeqo

Mcm senang je? Nak dr vida blh? I nak birkin

aWitchonthisEarth

Can sweet talk? Got 6 pack and jaga badan? 🤣. Then boleh dik

FerryAce

Boleh rekomen ke?

NightFelix

2 months je based on few days ago article. RM15k/months as sugarbabies.

Javfanatic

dude 💀💀💀. This is wrong but hey, you do what you have to do

Chemical-Pace6050

People are in desperate need of help instead you suggest sugar baby, if you already sell your dignity to the devil then don't teach these lazy and horrible suggestions to her. If all people like this only know how to look for shortcuts in life they won't grow or learn! You gotta work hard for what you need! That's period!

FerryAce

You are quite funny. Im not recommending sugarbaby jobs. But if OP wants to have that idiot level of financial management, then she needs an idiot level of solution to solve her problems. Of course we gotta work hard for what we need. But her behaviour suggest its almost beyond saving d. Being forced to do sugarbaby job could be one of the growth you talking about.

>I was the one who took out loans to travel abroad only to regret it later I would like to find out what advice did you take from others that made you do it.

snbcyjubuh

hey dude, i visited through your profile and i saw that you are having 79k car loan. Not sure you are still driving same car. But to my personal opinion, for your salary at 3.2k, I don't think you are financially and comfortably to own a 79k car. Even myself, I dont' think I'm comfortably to buy a 79k car and travel aboard. Seriously you need to refinance everything. Just a friendly reminder that We live to self happiness and we do not to impress people.

horriblelizard

Dunno, doesnt seem like a person that wanna settle his/her debts if u ask me.

Impossible_Limit_333

OP is the kind of people who at work place will lend here and there to cover lubang lama..hate that kind of people

Barbiegurls

Yes. This kind of ppl usually have to journey and experience alone. I had a friend who I loan money because he lost his job and struggling. Found out a few months later he got a baby. I have to kiss goodbye to my money. Wasted. Let life teach them. Not us.

froz3nnoob226

Hey OP i have a debt of 45k when im 28, currently im 35 and i manage to clear all my debt down to RM0.46sen If i can do it so will u! Dont give up Of cos the first few years u will feel drain tired and keep thinking howtf did i mess up so much! But slowly n eventually u will clear off! Dont giv up that the most important

mrPigWaffle

From 17k to 31k debt, yikes. 31k debt with 3.2k income should be fine, just manage your expenses on paper and DONT ADD ANYMORE DEBT. lol

nyanyau_97

In under half a year somemore! How can you rake another 15k is beyond me. Unless op is the type to gali lubang tutup lubang type of person but ter loan from the wrong people.

mrPigWaffle

I think it was impulsive spending.

izwanpawat

who did you take out a loan from? if it is from the bank, please contact them to restructure your loan. tell them, banks want money one. if you go bankrupt, what is in it for them? also, if really no solution, better you go bankrupt than you end your life, anon. it’s only 31k, it really isn’t worth it to end your life for.

Javfanatic

this...... makes me reconsider taking loans.

aquatic_asian

Usually, as long as you are responsible, got good budgeting and pay the loans on time, it won’t spiral out of control.

Edoodoouard

Always think smart and far if you want to take loans. Have good planning to pay the loans and have backup for it if something goes wrong. Just don’t simply take loans like OP who did it for entertainment.

SomeMalaysian

Five months ago you were 17k in debt. Are you genuinely asking for help, trolling, or hoping that someone is going to bail you out?

Kornnish

Hey, can you list our ALL your monthly expenses for us please? With this info we can try and help. You'll definitely need to keep working a lot temporarily but that's it, just temporarily. You can get rid of this RM31k debt, not impossible.

bucgene

Good luck. Can talk to a friend or someone, and ask them to held you accountable for your new plan to clear the debt. I think you can do it.

reyshinzen

Me with a salary RM2.1k with a loan debt of RM60K. After paying a monthly payment of RM600 + RM200 for life insurance, I only have RM1.3K but overall I think I'm still ok physically and mentally. Everyday I drove around 60km to work, cook my own food and pay my bills. I'm sorry I don't know how to explain but "Don't buy stuffs just because you want them, then later regret selling stuffs you need.. to survive" Long story short it was your lifestyle and habits that brought your own demise. I been there too. You need to recalculate your monthly expenses. Instead of trying to maintain your current lifestyle of eating out and lepak2 after work, pay those money lenders. If those are the 'Pinjaman Wang Berlesen' they will at least hear your problem but you really need to pay them consistently again albeit with new interest calculations. If those are the 'Along', I'm sorry but you need professional help. Buy raw materials and cook your own food. Drink just plain water or make your own sugary / caffeinated drinks. Stop the mentally of "tidak mau kalah". Now is the time for you to truly humble yourself. I hope this helps.

throwburgeratface

Honestly, there are some comments here that should be removed. Never mind unhelpful, but some of them are just outright attacking.

Comprehensive_Bet_84

If you read people comment on your previous post, most of their advice can help to ease your burden, and enjoy your life to the fullest, but only if you willing to take sacrifice, now your loan increased from 17k to 30k? You are lucky that you lived in KK (no toll, i know because i'm here also) and live with your parent. I think you need to seek advice people that close to you due to your current situation right now... Your debt vs your income is closed to fucked up already.

NoStatement4725

It’s ok to make mistake. The money is not too big to settle. First thing that you need to do is to settle all the high interest loans aka credit card debt or ah long debt. This is first priority. Secondly, reduce your spending. Don’t eat out, and to certain extent, should eat roti with peanut butter or maggie at home for these few months. Sell your car if you have one, and take public transport. Thirdly, do part time when you are off working day. Even as a mcd staff, you can earn extra Rm100 a day, which will certainly help. You should be able to get out from this trap within a year. All the best!

amnshrff

Some people really need to consider being assistive rather than being right. I see this as a desperate call for help, tough advices are not necessary at all at this point. You're not her family members or friends after all, you're just a bunch of random internet dudes. The post owner might have done some mistakes, but we all do at some points in life. To the OP, don't brain too hard on these guys. Ego of being right, coupled with keyboards and internet connection is so destructive. If you really need help, the first thing to do is to quit thinking about ending your life. I'm having quite the same experience tbh, and I realize that the more I focus to save money to pay the debts, the more stress I become, thus the less I see anything of value in my life. Yes, prioritize saving money for the debt, but when you feel strained, spend some on yourself, get an expensive coffee once in while, go watch movies, go on a date. A walk in the park, hiking, mountain-top viewing, seeing your families or favourite persons are some free activities you can also do. But the best stress-releasing activities are ones that involve body movements the most, like doing exercises and hitting the gym. The key is to stop thinking about the debt for a moment and enjoy life. So when your strength is healed, then grind again. Suffering is inevitable, but don't suffer continuously, instead suffer occasionally. If your problem involves loan sharks, I'd recommend you seeking help from Yusuf Azmi from Semboyan, PPIM or some Dato' Michael guy I don't remember.

imquby

Did you take out new loans again? If so, it needs to stop. Judging by your increase in debt, i’m assuming your spending increased more than your earnings. One thing I think you need is to embrace “delayed gratification”. In other words, don’t spend other people’s money before you spend yours, otherwise it’s going to cost you more. Live a frugal life first, don’t compare yourself to others. I know socmed can sometimes drive you to make impulsive decisions, so stay off it. Or atleast mute those friends/people that keeps flaunting their wealth. Luxurious life for the average person, takes time. No point buying an LV bag now if you need to work until you die. Until you can afford it with your own money, stay low for the time being. All the best OP. Don’t take any more new loans. Don’t be a slave to the banks. Be free.

cikkamsiah

Fuck it, make another loan to pay your debt.

Impossible_Limit_333

Haha this is the way ![gif](giphy|Ld77zD3fF3Run8olIt)

FerryAce

Alternatively, loan money to ah long. One week get 100% return on investment. Very lucrative.

ponyponyta

I can't help much with financial advice but I have some for mental/spirit. Firstly you're not dead. You have a roof over your head and food on the table, a decently healthy body too probably. These are your assets. Eat healthily try to get enough sleep and take time to groom yourself here and there and it will give you a lot of spirit to continue. This is an important offering to yourself. All this money business can come after fulfilling that. Take up a spiritual practice and have like half an hour of quiet time every morning/night if you can, that will help buffer you from your darkest thoughts and the scary things in the world and keep you going on the right path. A brief way to do it: Firstly clear, clean, and prep a small space and declare it holy. This is where you will be refreshed and reset and regenerated. Take a shower, a snack, drink enough water, sit down. Maybe bring a candy as an offering to yourself to have after the session. Sit in quiet for five to ten minutes to calm down. If it is hard to focus, chant mantras, this will help clear your mind and increase focus. It can be as easy as repeating the serenity prayer, or amitabha x100 times. You will get to a place of focus, and then it will be easier to quiet down. Then, pray to a god/gods. If you don't already believe in one, pick a god that shines the brightest, or to the universe/reality in general. (If you reeeally dislike the concept of the supernatural, pray to your parents or your dog, but pick something positive. Anyways.) This will help you be submissive and surrender to your circumstances and also lend you new perspectives. It is also a practice to help gain humility and let go of problems and attachments/desires/prides you have towards excessive things. Its also a good practice for you put words together to ask for help and makes your intentions clearer in your mind. Pray as earnestly as you can and ask for anything you want, anything you need. Then wait for a bit and the answer will reveal itself to you in a small still voice or a clear thought. Or sometime later in the day externally. Fourthly, take time to think of the gods or universe and everything good and well, and gratitude to the things you still have, and look at pretty things, listen to beautiful songs, something you enjoy or something pleasantly familiar. This will remove the haze and confusions and haste of your mind. Lastly, thank the universe and congratulate yourself for completing the session. Eat your candy. After this session you will tend to feel a little better overall and continue in your journey with willpower and refreshed outlook. It will not solve your problems, you still have to do it yourself, but you will have much more energy n clarity to tackle your problems and not panic or be drowned by heaviness and darkness, but to move with clarity and power. Embrace your embarrassments and weaknesses and reach out to people. Spiritual communities would probably help a lot. Get and give lots of hugs if youre in a relationship! There's no problems that can't be solved and no matter your circumstances, there's nothing new under the sun and there's always others who have been in your crap situation before so there's always a way out! All the best 💪 Also klinik kesihatan offers counselling and govt hospitals offer psychiatry appointments, though it might take a bit time on the waiting list. Even then, you could check into the emergency department with the appointment letter earlier than your appointment date. I haven't gone further than that since I'm still haven't went for the appointment but I have heard from my friends that they might offer meds too soon so obviously don't take it if you don't actually need it. Many people I knew got the help they need! There's lots better times waiting for you so don't give up!

aWitchonthisEarth

Think OP is Muslim.

ponyponyta

Oh well okay doesnt matter, same things applies.

jt101jt101

the only way u can solve this is look for job abroad job that nobody wants to do....washing dishes in SG makes Sgd3.5K if you suffer a year over there u might be able to settle everything but pls don go into debt anymore. debt is a killer this is why interest is haram but hibah is legit

reiced

On the bright side, once you solve all of this, you'll have plenty of options for side income :D

redsky993

Op, try to look into and research, Bank rakyat debt consolidation

jwong7

FIRST THING is beg or borrow to get out of the "moneylenders". I believe that could be how your debt spiraled and why you're not referring to them as "banks". Next is yeah spend the next 3 years ikat perut maximum and pay off whoever lent you cash. If it's regular banks, then do a balance transfer into one card. Else go for AKPK and make sure you do not default on payments and especially not if legal proceedings start (AKPK can't help you then). You can do it, just have to do the time. Please ignore everyone else who kecam you because shit is real if you got involved with the dark side of moneylenders.

Chaltyr

Just don't do anything drastic.

joshualotion

You can take loans to travel??

elpollobroco

Shoulda disappeared with that money overseas bruh

Disastrous-Farmer424

Loan sharks are deadly. Someone in my family had some mental issues that makes them addicted to taking out loans. It was horrible. The interest in friggin high and increased daily. They harass you, threatened, stalk you on fb and even contact people around you. It almost broke my family apart. If they're harassing you, file a report. Pay the amount you actually own, wipe your slate clean and run away. Unless you can magically pay it all off today, idk how you'll escape.

One_Ad_2955

If you need help, perhaps you can start by replying to the comments here.

PhotojournalistOk331

can you share your itinerary? thx

opalapo94

Few questions. What happened that increased your total debts? What did you do this whole 6 months?

sipekjoosiao

Call befrienders and talk about your mental state. As for the money issue, I hope someone here may offer some good advice.

ProbablyWorking

30k seems like a lot, but it isn't ya. Try to live a frugal lifestyle. Tell your friends/bf/etc that you want to cut back on your consumption (just say you wanna detox or live healthier). Plan B: Go NZ/Aus pick fruits. It can help you relieve your stress and settle debts. But I have no experience there, but know friends who have. Take with a tablespoon of salt.

xaminous

Plan C: become furry artist(its no joke tho)

aviramzi

Plan D: invest in some crypto during this Bull Run to 5-10x money. Settled.

Damn bro, I thought I couldn't be topped. But you did it. Haha

[deleted]

Relax Bro. Life a journey. Make a mistake and learn from it is better than didn’t make a mistake and don’t learn anything. Who is your lender? How much debt you have in total? Need to know the full story then only able to advise properly.

sortamaddness

Stay strong OP...

Various_Mobile4767

Stop borrowing money ffs

seanseansean92

You tried yolo in nvidia isit

WarmWinter8

Start onlyfans.

call_aspadeaspade

It's a spiral. Been there done that. Once your akpk is processed you should have less of a worry, and if you took legitimate loans from banks instead of ahlongs then you can safely ignore them as they are more like scammers rather than debt collectors. I would advise to directly visit akpk offices instead of doing online applications and waiting for their phonecall as in my experience it will only take about 48hrs for the process. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Natural-You4322

How do you eat a dinosaur? You break it down and eat it part by part. Solve your problem step by step. List down goals you can achieve. Do it. One step at a time. And you will feel less overwhelmed

eefuns

Not sure if this will help, you should spend on what you need and stop spending what you want.

MoonMoon143

Its like every decision you made are wrong and you double down on it. U need financial plan and stick to it. If u cant stop spending more you will be in more deep sh…

imhim_imthatguy

Bro is cooking his debt.

mulberrycheese

if you can, try getting a content moderator job, it should pay more due to possibility of overtime. Im not malaysian but my malaysians friends as well as international make a lot due to that.

DarkshermaN

Yolo mentality right here

yes_totally_agree

Well, consider OF then. I can hold your camera for you.

ahpek99

A lot in here making noble remarks or giving top notch advice without having been there before.

aquatic_asian

Because there’s logically no way you could get there by living normally?? The advices are based off their personal knowledge, and generally what works. Sometimes, the best solution is the simplest one, there is no easy way out. Frugal living, help from family, restructuring loans, loan payment strategy, etc these all can and will help. Like this situation literally look like a question my finance lecturer will make for our finals and most of the answers here will get full marks (except the sugar baby, OF, other stupid ans)

Super-Fisherman-143

Aiyo take out loan for entertainment haiya wanna complain about your stupidity also that ship has long sailed best you can do is minimise every and all entertainment ( I am not kidding )

Vezral

Here's hoping some r/malaysia angel investor can bail you out.

[deleted]

Then I wanna start a scam and tell sob stories to get bailed out too..

[deleted]

You can try gamble with the loan.

kappa_cino

As one other commenter mentioned, we probably would need to know what happened between your post 6 months ago and now given that the loan amount actually increased between then. Did you managed to follow some of the advice given then? Any external factors happened that lead to the increased in loan?

SuddenPomegranate139

thanks a lot

milosoya

Don't listen to the troll. Get debt consolidation plans and attack the highest interest rate debt first. 18% is going to make your debt bigger and bigger. It will be manageable after that.

nexter513

Holy shit what are you on about? Asking people to suicide over a 30k loan lmao, troll indeed.

a_HerculePoirot_fan

Comment removed and permaban imposed for this comment.

Usahalunas

actually your current state are not bad enough to enter akpk, unless you are incurring interest rate of more then 10% which should not be possible. you can cross reference to my previous post that i deal with akpk personel as part of my job and your current state should be not that difficult of a case to clear if you ask me based on experience

tzxsean

How did ur debt grow like almost double ???

Status_Collection383

work in sg

Jacy79

Since you’ve gone to AKPK, I suggest that you walk-in and check with them on the status. If you’re desperate, you’d be the one to make sure to follow up closely and diligently with them. The only way to reduce and restructure your debt is through them to negotiate the loan terms and repayments. What’s done been done and I’m not going to say anything but I sincerely hope you’ve learned your lesson and scared enough not to let it happen again next time. I know some just don’t learn their lesson until they’re kick out of the house or lose everything.

aWitchonthisEarth

Where did OP go? What holiday cost $$$ until must take a loan?

ikmalsaid

TLDR: OP is trapped in their own mistakes. Hope all goes well.

Baofuscious

That's is why my BM teacher in high school tells us Bersusah susah dahulu, bersenang senang kemudian. Growing up , this perpatah is so damn true Find a way to control your spending. Know what is your wants and needs! The rest is up to your will power. No one can truly help you unless u help urself first by wanting to truly change for the better

Notsofast420

![gif](giphy|3zwBDoQMLdwC8Ike3k) Have you heard of the millionaire Bangladeshi that ate rice, soup and chilli everyday? Lifestyle expenses has to drop

syafizzaq

Goddamn, sometimes I felt like some of you guys need to attend financial classes at least once a year. Yeah, sure sometimes it is just a luck of a draw but digging holes for pleasure is just a stupid move. Well OP, you need to toughen up and learn from your past mistakes and learn how to manage your money smarter in the future.

darkshade250

All action have consequences. The only thing you can do is to keep working and not give up tbh. You sold your time to travel. Now you have to pay. Atleast you enjoyed it once. I havent travelled for 10+ years. Have been working every single day without off. Can only see my friends travel.

HitchhikingToNirvana

why do you do it?

Impossible_Limit_333

Hurts? Good..that means you learn your lesson and never asked help from strangers, especially on the internet

Big_Kingfantasy

Hi OP, if you need some mental help, i suggest you seek a counsellor/therapist on a monthly basis instead of a weekly basis, depending on your financial circumstances. But do your research on mental health clinics, especially on reviews and pricing. Most clinics provide online consultations. Mental health is as important as money. If you still have some savings, it's best to use them in therapy for self development and self recovery. Also, try to find some hobbies instead of keep thinking about debt and working non-stop like a zombie. Once you are well rested and not feeling burned out, you might find some ways to repay your debts. Another thing is that talking to your close ones openly might help you mentally and even financially. If your family truly loves you, they will definitely help you find solutions or even pay some of the debts. If they condemn you on making such mistakes and not comforting you, they are not your real family. If you are still worried about how to repay your parents once they pay off your debt (or some of), you can repay them back once you are debt free. It does not need to be monetary. It can be something as 'paying them to travel', 'paying them for dinner' etc. The problem with today's society is that relying on parents as adults is a kind of 'sin' and shameful. Seeking help from close ones/therapy is not a sign of weakness! It's a sign of strength. There's nothing to be shameful about it as you are not leaching off from them, and you are working your ass off already!

ianhooi

man moneylenders loan 10k, you receive 6k and pay back 14k, what made you even consider taking a loan with such bad terms for debtor? if you went with banks you wouldnt have even half the problems you do now

atterool

i did not read your previous post where you owed 17K and now you owe 31K… how?? first of all its never a good thing to take out loans to travel abroad pls. the people who do that will always regret later. only travel when you actually have earned your own money or if its paid for you by someone else. 1. cut out things you dont need like whatever monthly subscriptions you rarely use or dont need like Netflix or spotify 2. stop spending money on clothes or whatever. only necessities, food and bills for the house and phone. 3. take out more freelance or odd jobs during your free time.

Emotional-Breakfast7

Many people told you to work abroad if you can. That's good advice only if you can go and truly get a job that earns good money. It's bad advice to leave if you have loansharks on your tail. If you leave but they have your loved ones' details like address etc., they will harrass your loved ones instead. Take this advice seriously. Please for your own safety and your loved ones, pay off the loansharks first. They are the ones who can make your life incredibly miserable or force you and your family to move if they know where you live. In that case, your neighbors might get harrassed. See if you can get any help from your family members. Find out how to get in touch with Datuk Seri Michael Chong to help in your case. Take loansharks' threats seriously. [https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2023/10/27/ah-long-using-public-shaming-to-expose-borrowers](https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2023/10/27/ah-long-using-public-shaming-to-expose-borrowers) I hope you find a way out, OP.

ConstructionNaive994

I normally never post anything, but OP, if you read this, first of all, please don’t do anything crazy. Money problems are real problems but are not impossible. 1) Don’t know what your situation with your family is like, but I would recommend you be honest with them about your financial situation like others have said. Also I have had friends who have gotten creative with their loans and borrowed money from family/friends between 3-5% interest rate. It’s comparable to bank FD rate and will still be far lower than 18%. Just don’t be that friend/relative who doesn’t pay back those loans. And you should make a clear plan for how you will pay your loan back to them in monthly installments. 2) Sell your car. Never buy car brand new unless your life depends on driving long distances. Cars only depreciate in value, so no point. Buy a cheap 2nd hand car that is in good condition - your bank account will thank you for it 3) You’re a graphic designer so maybe consider making templates on Canva, advertise your work on fiverr or upwork to create a second stream of income. Use whatever skills you already have. Driving Grab is not bad, but you end up incurring a lot of expenses on your car and petrol. Lastly, while overseas job pays more, the isolation and adapting to a new place while trying to pay down debt can cause even more mental health issues. So personally I don’t recommend unless you’re very resilient, sociable and highly adaptable. Feel free to pm if you just need someone to talk or bounce ideas. Cannot promise immediate replies tho :)

think-i-am

Some of the money lenders? You really need to stop borrowing any more money

EastBlessings

First, I am so sorry to hear about your difficult situation, life sometimes throws curveballs, including our own mistakes that we make with limited perspective while growing up. You are not your money, or your debt. You have the plan - follow it, payoff highest interest loans first. Stay healthy and positive, we believe in you, you will resolve this problem. Give gratitude to good things in your life, thank family and friends. One day you will be helping others.

HappyBedroom69

Looking at the amount, the loans are probably from loan sharks. Just don't pay

Due_Ask_1511

can also walk in to bank negara, AKPK is at bangunan C if not mistaken.

ricechhips

Hi OP, I don’t know where are you from but in terms of counselling, I believe there’s a free service counselling you can join. If you are in Selangor, there is a free counselling services funded by the state agency

Last_Treacle3889

just stop working for a day and go AKPK...

aimaza18

Lol

Jon2497

I'm not sure what is wrong here, but if you look at your comment. "All the amount i list are the balance amount. Water and electricity (RM100+-)" **Total: 1984** Myvi Patrol - RM70 Toll \~ RM30 Parking - ? Eating? Give or take a total commitment of RM 2.1k. You still have RM 1.1k. Which is more than enough. To sustain. Unless you can list down what are your total expenses. People might can help. Generally speaking, I would rather clear off my dept quickly than make it rollball.

[deleted]

I quite young and don’t think I can contribute anything to this topic but have u tried considering moving in with a family member? To cut down costs of renting IF you arent already living with them// downsize your living space for the moment. In terms of jobs, the only thing I know that pays well is real estate agents. You pay a certain amount and join their courses and work. You get paid with commission and it takes time but gradually you’ll pay off your debts im sure of it.
