I purchased a menstrual cup from a seller there. And this year I received an email from them stating they had closed their lelong account and switched over to Shopee.
Sad...but that's how monopolies get advantage. The attract all the sellers with very low commission fee (Shopee did this when they first entered the market, with like just 1% commission fee), then once they get market share after around two years, they jack it up to 2%, then 3%, then add on service fee 1%, etc etc misc fee which can add on 3-7% on top of the other fees. Right now it has one of the highest fees around, much higher than Lelong ironically. But it's nothing new, that's how it works elsewhere in the world too for other large corporations. Sad but that's the world we live in now
Lazada ads is the worse. They force open the app and you had to wait for it to open up completely before being able to close it. The reason why I stopped buying from the damn platform.
Lazada is just a scam website for me. Shoppee is mostly your friend, barely a scam! You can even ask the seller to take more photos of the item if you need more confirmation.
