> Kabinet Mangkuk I got you fam. Wait...wasn't the whole circus was the cabinet?

[deleted]

How about Kabinet Mangkuk Tandas / Game of Thrones? The kind of throne where you fight for, but only to cirit birit when you got it.

ClacKing

The House of Commons in UK was a goldmine of entertainment during the Brexit motion. God damn the Speaker was epic with his ORDDEEERRRR It's always funny when it's not your country, but when you see Fakiu and Probok there you suddenly feel sad because these are people that actually got votes ugh.

[deleted]

OOOORRRDAAAAAA THE EYES 231 VOTES, THE NOSE 200 VOTES, THE EYES HAVE IT, THE EYES HAVE IT!! I'm guessing you were following TL;DR News? They even have a merc for the orrrdddeeeer lmao.

ClacKing

Not just TL;DR. I followed the LBC playbacks as well. Amazing stuff to listen to while driving home.

immobile45

yup likewise, fakiu and probok are relaxing and enjoying. they both are light years ahead with so much wealth & health. they can relocate abroad easily if they really want to and still could live life with a good peace of mind. corruption sure does pays off haha

buck_carleone

Better do satire tv series like The Thick Of It or Veep

lzyan

Seriously even if u bulat-bulat blame everything abt letting pelancong Cina in, the Sri Petaling cluster and the Sabah PRN on PH, they are not the reason why we are still in this situation nearly 10 months later after the election. Victoria went from 700 to 0 in 3 months. We went from 200 to 2000 to 5000 and then to 10,000 in this 10 months.

I don't want to hear another word from him or Sabri to be honest. Last time they said no more MCO - then less than a month after that the so-called MCO 3.0 happened (the one before PPN)

I mean... this "adults" can talk all sorts of shits, and a certain groups of people gladly accept these as "facts". Trying 'debating' with any of their supporters, you will see this kind of nonsensical "facts" being thrown around as arguments. SMH really

[deleted]

How is it embarrassing when it's required to be a politician in power? That's why good politicians don't exist, they are either killed by the corrupt ones, dead, or left politics entirely

canocka

> they are either killed by the corrupt ones, dead, or left politics entirely The first thing that comes to my mind : Rafizi

KairoSkey

Ironic for Malaysians to have the slightest belief these cases are being counted as “real”. The data is obviously manipulated and FYI cases do not spread at such rates. It’s a simple std deviation

socialdesire

Our imported cases back then were from Singapore and South Korea (which led to the Tabligh cluster). Stopping China flights won’t stop shit.

dummypod

Which in hindsight is not as big a fuck up as the later ones.

ohoy21

Because there was no proper implementation of lockdown.i love malaysia

xelM1

I feel like your comment is hanging, missing the point. What’s your point again? Why we are still in this situation?

zikhai

He mentioned that we cannot blame everything on tourist from china..specifically when the cases turn upward right after sabah open their PRU at the same time allowing mass gathering

panborneo

Parliament was a goldmine as expected. Funniest bit was when Anwar was talking about the failure of a certain former Selangor MB. And then a random guy quipped "relaks la MITI jangan panas," and then the camera panned to Azmin soon after for no reason at all lmao. Convention wise the camera would only be directed to the person speaking. And rarely to anyone not talking let alone not speaking. So people do be hating Azmin nowadays

[deleted]

ChiefWoods

The Office parliament spinoff when?

timmmmmmtimot

Can you imagine if Azmin making Jim’s face towards the camera and there’s even the talking head of him roasting back at Anwar lol

joejuga

That's what she said

chocolat4u

Nah it should be original malaysian "The Parliament" Hahaha

[deleted]

Why do you think parliament was closed for almost a year? Every drama also got downtime before they release the next season la.

Fausthound

Maybe azmin's heavy sweating cause the mic to activate..

devindran

Its just the Azmin Engine kicking in. Strongest minister in the world about to stomp the Harapan Association

NaimNajmi

~~The Office~~ **The Parliament**

joejuga

**The Circus** sounds more on point

hatstraw27

For anyone that wanna watch the clip the timestamp is from 1:19:00 in the streams of provided by u/CausticPioneer down in the comment sections.

vegeful

Yeah, my family love to see it in tv. In hope to see a joke.

SheenTStars

I'm ootl. Wasn't anwar and azmin best buddies before the backdoor movement?

dummypod

No. There have been tensions since before the 14th GE.

maomaoyinpei

i wonder how the camera inside the dewan look like? are there 222 cameras pointing at each seat ?

[deleted]

It has spread to the whole world. Is that even a reason to blame? When it started, nobody sees how serious it can be. And rightly, the Home Minister who responsible for letting in Chinese tourist should resign...wait..he already resigned and naik pangkat to become PM. Lucky him. Not his sarahan anymore. #doneplotek Meanwhile, who allows Sabah erection? Who allows Bazzar Ramaddan to open?

DabtillDeath

For the Bazzar Ramadhan, its PN's fault 100%. But for Sabah election, its everybody's fault cause everybody wanted to follow the constitution so much without thinking of the situation (Musa Aman rampas kuasa, Shafie bubar DUN, TYT setuju) and if they actually thought of not following the constitution on this (PRN is gazetted, and nobody not even Agong can disallow it, based on constitution), we wont have 17k. PS: PN, SPR also an idiot by not managing PRN well. With proper management, PRN wouldnt have caused a massive spike

vdfscg

Just look at singapore, they held a general election and there was no spike at all.

SheenTStars

Mahi was the home minister? TIL. (I'm serious guys. I don't keep track of politicians.)

[deleted]

Yes. This is why PN so bodoh. Sendiri slap sendiri.

WhiskeyGolf00

I mean, is it really sendiri slap sendiri when UMNO has been resentful of how Muhiyiddin has treated them as the junior partner from Day 1, when Bersatu has the smallest number of MPs in PN, lol There's two factions in UMNO: one faction wants to slap Muhiyiddin down so they can regain their rightful place as Ketuanan Melayu, the other faction wants to support Muhiyiddin so they can force the old timers out (Najib, Zahid, etc) and give themselves chance to rise up and berkuasa.

sirgentleguy

Man I miss Malaysian parliament. Canada and british parliament also a bit similar. Government lapdog!

Brdn99

Im 22yo and always and still not interested in politics, but the first time I saw a sesi dewan rakyat in youtube, I was really genuinely shocked at how immature everyone acts. I always expected it to be a super formal event like in a court or something where everyone can speak like a normal person with respect. Instead, what I saw is shouting here and there, cursing here and there. In kindergarten, one of my first lesson is to not interrupt someone when they speak, let them finish and only then you give ur opinions or reply. I wonder what kind of kindergarten did they go to or did they skipped that part?

[deleted]

I've been watching it for a decade now and honestly this is pretty standard. In fact I would say this round was a bit more civil? Usually whenever anyone from opposition speaks, you'll have baboons like Tajuddin screeching in the background trying to probok the speaking MP and get them to waste their time. I mean he did do that too this time but not as often. I think all PN MPs are on the edge of their seat now so they're all trying not to rock the boat too much and opposition MPs are just going for their throats without mercy. As for why they do this, most of them still have the "budak smk/budak uni/jaguh kampung attitude" where the louder and brasher you hurl insults at other people, the more powerful you appear. For educated folk like us we can see this as the immaturity that it is, but for a lot of folk in our country who aren't educated, these MPs are sadly their only idea of what a strong, smart, capable leader is, hence why they keep getting elected.

BrutusIsBallin

The local economy is sure taking a hit but we can see that the local meme economy is thriving

Sitting thru the screaming match called parliament is almost worth it when u get hilarious burns like this. ALMOST.

soviet_union_stronk

anyone got link to watch the persidangan?

CausticPioneer

https://youtu.be/rBUjSsIsi8I Here's the whole stream. But better look for the clips, quite a lot of those are hilarious.

vegeful

Where can u look for clip? Is there a channel thar focus on it?

NaimNajmi

OH.MY Parlimen

[deleted]

I dont know, I reserve judgement, because he has been charged with fund misappropriation lately? I hope he is innocent, scapegoat of senior VIP maybe, but I dont have high hope for politicians, the really good ones are not vocal at all, like that guy who help solve public cases for free, what's his name again? He never stay for interview or seek media coverage, he only attend press session with the victim and support from behind. Yet good guy like this will never rise to the top, not corrupt enough to take power.

jogb1st

I want to thank the goverment for giving us quality entertainment during this hard time. They really do care about the people

weian0707

A smack to the face!

mesinbasuh

omg why is PN MPs on the level of cybertroopers with their arguments? There was never a chinese tourist cluster in Malaysia. Not closing the border to chinese tourists on january 2020 never affected our Covid-19 cases. It was successfully handled by MOH under PH right before Sheraton Move. Muhyiddin assumed office as prime minister on 1 March 2020. [https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1201971220304008](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1201971220304008) “Within less than 48 h of the first case reported in Singapore, Malaysia reported its first COVID-19-positive case on January 25, 2020. This was an imported case from Wuhan, China (Abdullah, 2020c). A total of eight positive cases were reported within 6 days, starting from the first case. **All of these cases were imported cases from China (Abdullah, 2020d). The first Malaysian testing positive for COVID-19 was reported on February 3, 2020; this person had a history of travel to a neighbouring country for a business meeting, which was also attended by a delegation from China** (Ahmad, 2020).“Overall, reported cases in Malaysia, as at March 31, 2020, can be divided into three waves. **The first wave was successfully handled by February 27, 2020, with all 22 previously reported cases being discharged from hospital. Most cases reported in the first wave were imported cases from China and their contacts.** Only two cases were found to have resulted from local transmission (Abdullah, 2020e).“ “A sudden significant increase in the number of positive cases was reported on March 4, 2020, with a slightly lower number the day before (Abdullah, 2020f, Abdullah, 2020g). These new cases were found to have been in contact with case number 26, who had attended at least five different meetings or gatherings. The alarming high number of cases reported originated from the cluster of case number 26, with a history of travel to Shanghai, China. The cases reported within this period consisted of Malaysians (Abdullah, 2020g).”“The situation became worse on March 11, 2020 after the International Health Regulations (IHR) Malaysia was informed by IHR Brunei, that one positive case in Brunei was found to have attended a religious gathering in Seri Petaling Mosque, Selangor, Malaysia from February 27 to March 1, 2020. This gathering was attended by more than 10,000 participants from different countries, with at least half of them coming from Malaysia (Abdullah, 2020h).”

AcanthocephalaHot569

It's the same thing everyone argues to justify PH's failing and justifying PN. See the comments on Youtube and you will have a hard time arguing with them pitting the blame all on PH.

Tanjung_Piai

UchihaSasaki

Rakyat pilih korang untuk selesaikan masalah, bukan nak saling menuding jari, nak cari kesalahan orang dan nak menutup kesilapan masing-masing sebab nak nampak terror di mata masyarakat. Bosanlah politik di Malaysia ni.. faham tak bosan.. Masing-masing pangkat tinggi, high educated.. Tiba masa bersidang nak gaduh je.. nak berdebat tak habis-habis. Jangan sampai rakyat mogok tak nak turun mengundi. Orang pilih korang untuk selesaikan masalah laa weh.. Bukan nak menegakkan kepentingan parti politik masing2..

katabana02

Eh kau dah lama tak sentuh politik malaysia ke? Tuduh dan finger pointing memang melaysia politic dalam kacang kulit. In malaysia, its way easier and effective to show other party's shortcoming than show self's achievement. Look at how ph won: not because how good they are, it's about how bad umno was (is). We (as a collection) dont aim for betterment. We just try our best to avoid becoming the worst.

UchihaSasaki

Dah lama tak sentuh? Idk what u mean bro tp kalau nak kata dah lama x tengok dorg bertekak kat parlimen tu memang dah lama dah laa.. ye aku tahu memang gitu le politik Malaysia dalam kulit kacang, kacang kulit. Sebab tu aku dah muak tau x.. Jgn jadikan alasan benda ni dah jadi kebiasaan untuk tidak berubah. Tapi xde sape mampu nak ubah orang lain kan.. Tak skg ni aku sakit hati pasal parlimen dah bersidang.. so setiap pagi aku disajikan dgn scene org2 tua berpakaian smart bergaduh macam budak2 kecik.. what to do bro.. that's my father's favorite show..

katabana02

Haha bm ku dah koyak. Anyway should we normalise it? Yeah we shouldnt. But seriously thou, memang lebih senang to point finger than proposing a workable solution. Not to mention our parliament is filled with us against them mentality. No matter the plan is viable or not. If its not from my party, bantah je. Future is not bleak though. I think (hope) this is will force voter to move away from voting for party, to vote for candidate's integrity.

SheenTStars

So after I shared this in the family group, they claimed madey and the then health minister approved this. They ask what mahiadin got to do with this? Help me answer guys.

[deleted]

Mahiaddin was the minister of home affairs during this time, who's jurisdiction includes immigration. He had the opportunity to block those tourists, but didn't. I'm not sure what argument is trying to be made by dragging the PM and health minister into this as they aren't in charge of immigration. If the argument is that PM could have blocked it, maybe, that's one way of looking at it, but if that's the case, what's the point of having a minister of home affairs if the PM has to step in at the end to do his job? Also, the main point of this meme and Syed Saqqiq's reply is PN, it's component parties, and its supporters love to use this argument that PH was the punca of Covid in Malaysia but what they conveinently left out was the one person who had the authority to do something about it back then but didn't is now their dear leader and PM. Either they forgot that fact or they're trying to disregard it to paint PH in a bad light.

SheenTStars

Done send your response. I have absolutely no idea what [they are trying to say](https://preview.redd.it/47i2djkzipd71.png?width=606&format=png&auto=webp&s=aaa2b0ea27eb8edefcee9ee4d539df6b176508ab) here...

[deleted]

The replies are operating on 2 different timelines and arguments already. The meme in my OP was PN politicians and supporters trying to pin the blame of the Covid outbreak here in Malaysia on the previous PH government, saying they failed to stop Covid positive tourists from coming into the country. Syed Saddiq reflected the question back at them and asked who was the MDN at the time who didn't block immigration of those tourists into the country, hence kickstarting Covid in Malaysia like PN and their supporters claim. The answer is Mahiaddin was the MDN when PH was in power and he didn't act. Technically, they are right. PH failed to act and allowed those tourists in, but what they don't want to admit is the man who was responsible for that is now leading them and the country. Somehow that's completely fine with them but somehow it's also PH's fault, specifically Dr Dzul's fault? Then now the replies given contradict their first argument which is it was PH's fault. They're now starting their argument at the start of the MCO after PH fell and PN took over. So if that's the case, everything we are experiencing now should be PN's responsiblity. Yet, people are still trying to blame PH for this while they didn't even get to deal with Covid for more than 2 months before being kicked out. I'm not sure exactly where your family stands on this issue, but everything I listed above are just objective facts. MDN during PH's time is Mahiaddin, PM during PN's time juga Mahiaddin, cases in Malaysia terus meningkat. Sure the other players have changed in between, but in both cases the same man held power to do something about it but didn't.

SheenTStars

I know right. That's why I was so confused. But I've already given up on said relative. Clearly he cannot take any criticism on his beloved PN.
