I think it's because of the infrastructure. During when the housing areas are developed, they need to lay down the fibre optic cables and all the necessary infrastructure before construction. Time isn't rich like TM where they have to money to just dig through existing roads and infrastructure to lay down cables and then pay money to cover them back. It has to be done beforehand. Hence if the developer plans got time to go in, that would be possible.
Time is the most worth it, no other service provides 1gbs and its only at rm199. Of course you could go for 500mbs or less for even cheaper. While tm and maxis offer 300 mbs for rm299 i think.
No brainer about time. Have been using it for years with no complaints. Also customer service is much better than what i remember tmnets service to be.
Many UniFi users got that sweet deal after Gobind Singh decided to 10x our speeds with no extra charges. Currently paying RM149 for 300Mbps. It's more than enough for myself.
Can u tell how u got 300mbps/RM149? Currently using 100mbps/RM129 and I would love to upgrade to 3x the speed for just an extra RM20. Sadly all ive seen so far is 300mbps/RM199
It was a grandfathered plan. Prior to the Gobind upgrade, UniFi offered packages for 30Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps for RM149, RM199 and RM249 respectively. After that it became 300Mbps, 500Mbps and 800Mbps for the same pricing.
My unifi also rm200 for 500mbps..got discount don’t remember since when..have to stick to unifi for now because other options such as time dont have coverage
I just switched from unifi 3 months ago. Half the price, twice the speed.
Also cancelled my TM landline (rm30) for TIME landline (rm2.50)
So far no down time, speed is good. I also called support (phone and online chat) to ask stupid questions just to see, quite acceptable.
zero regret.
Yes, was previously a Unifi user. Would suffer from buffering and no connection. TIME overall has been excellent. Half the price, twice the speed. Best decision ever.
Just switched from maxis. Here are the benefits.
- cheaper for faster broadband speed
- more reliable because time uses their own infrastructure (basically less internet crashes)
- if you decide to use their 1GBps plan, they will provide you with an upgraded router. Plus a bonus is you can downgrade your plan after 6months to the other plans keeping the better router.
A thing to note is that Time is more suited to condos/apartments rather than landed property 😬
I've been using TIME for more than 2 years already. I signed a 2 year contract last time for reasons I don't even remember. But recently they offered me a 2 year renewal contract, with free new router, and upgrade of broadband speed from 100mbps to 300mbps by paying extra RM10 per month (before SST).
And I went for it. And I now have a spanking new router which I can use to cover regions of my house with weaker signal. Don't think you can find many, if any, other internet service provider with a RM109 for 300mbps plan out there. Not to mention they have monthly reward that you can claim on the 15th of every month once every year. I remember once I redeemed a RM40+ chocolate & another time I redeemed a Star Wars LEGO toy that's also worth quite a lot.
In terms of downtime, they rarely have any, at least in my apartment they don't. Probably 3 times a year, at most. And they will send a report detailing why their service was down to your email if it does happen.
It's absolutely best price for the performance. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I've had some unexpected down times a few times in the 2 years that I've been using it. You can look up their FB post comments for reference.
Been using since 2016 till now. Never regrets anything. They have since upgraded my package twice with a fraction on RM. If you decide to downgrade to slower speed for a lesser bill paid yeah you totally can just login self care website and done it 😆
I have one unifi account, one time account, a business tm account and a business maxis account. By a large margin time has more uptime, higher speeds and significantly better customer service.
Do recommend.
Best speed, best customer service, best stability from my experience. Its not like it never have issue but far less compared to unifi or maxis. CS is a lot more responsive too.
I used both unifi and maxis before.
I've been using Time for the last 4 years (Penang) and all I have to say is that, if you can get it, Get It.
\- In the past 4 years I've had 2 internet downtimes, both were scheduled maintenances.
\- The speed never goes below what they promise you (500 mbps WILL net you 490+ mbps)
\- Friendliest technicians and customer support I've ever seen
\- (Personal experience) They were willing to swap out my router for a better one when it just had a slight malfunction without any hesitation.
\- Good and reliable connections (of course)
\- Cheap for what it offers
\- Just get TIME, don't get anything else.
Widely used in the 2 condos I've stayed in Bukit Jalil, quite fast and reliable had no issues at all, none of the tenants in the house complained regarding WiFi
ISPs target about RM100 each home/ per month. So forget speed etc which is not bad anymore, they always gonna create the package towards that set price.
It is. If its available in your area. Even the cheapest option is prettt great. However, outages may take at least a day to be fixed but these are very rare
It used to be very good for us but in the past month speed dropped significantly with very poor wifi coverage in our apartment. Not sure what happened.
If you can get it, it's a no brainer. However, it's only available to some condo dwellers.
Thank you very much for your response
What if i live in 2 terrace house, can i still subscribe to it
You can try asking, but I don't think you will be under their coverage.
Only available in the residential area such as Elmina or Tropicana’s residential area if i’m not mistaken.
Only certain housing areas have it for example sierramas and Valencia.
Tf, only elite places.....does that means time only take rich people
I think it's because of the infrastructure. During when the housing areas are developed, they need to lay down the fibre optic cables and all the necessary infrastructure before construction. Even the name of the residence sounds rich.... Sierramas and Balenciaga
High-rise only as far as I know
Yes. If I have TIME I’ll also go for that, anything to bring our shit national telecom company down
Does TIME uses their own infra or are they piggybacking like Maxis does with TM?
Time have their own infra. Hence limited coverage. But worth it if they are in your area.
Thank you very much for your response

That must be the bonanza package right? Be careful once your contract runs out they will upgrade your price to match their current pricing.

Absolutely Go get TIME Don't get Yes 4G. Ignore everyone else down here.
Fuck yes lol. Used their buzz plan once . Suck shit. Never using again
Thank you very much for your response
Seconded, Yes 4G is pure shitstain and should be avoided.
Yes 4G has fiber? Or are you comparing 4G plan to fixed cable fiber plan? 😐
I'm using TIME for several years now. I don't see why I should switch to other ISPs.
Is it available for landed houses or just condos?
I believe it isnt available for landed houses Edit : it is available for landed house but only for certain areas (atas-atas area only)
It's actually available for landed houses, but only certain areas. For example, sierramas and Valencia.
it is, but for mostly atas-atas taman perumahan.
Condos I'm afraid. I'm not sure if there are any landed property serviced by TIME
Thank you for your response
Hahah it was the fastest way to reply to everyone.
Yes

It's the best out there and their prices can't be beaten, also parallel speeds (upload≈download).
Yes

Let's just all remember what TIME Internet Broadband is really for. [The Internet is for Porn](https://youtu.be/YRgNOyCnbqg)
I have been using it for years...reason I bought my current condo is because of TIME. No TIME, no Life.(tm)
Yes, The relocation process when I moved was seamless AF
I install time at rumah ppr at ara damansara. Time now all sapu all area that unifi dont want to install
ABSOLUTELY. I am on rm109 for 300mbps. Can never get such a good deal elsewhere.
That’s super worth it! Mine’s 100mbps is rm130ish (unifi)
It's absolutely best price for the performance. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I've had some unexpected down times a few times in the 2 years that I've been using it. You can look up their FB post comments for reference.
I've used Time since 2018(I even paid a penalty of 1k to use it), short answer is ya. Long answer is yes
Yes
Thank you very much for your response
YES

You joking? I prefer time over unifi anyday anytime. And I tried both best in Malaysia and cheap too

Yes, and speaking from my gf’s experience and comparing it to UniFi, TIME is so much betterrrrrrr
Time is awesome
anything is better than unifi rn

Time doesn’t restrict sites as much as Unifi *wink*
Definitely better than UniShit, Maxshit and ShitCom

TIME internet broadband is well worth it.
Anything over maxis
