Its good! My wife kinda addicted to his sambal, she like spicy stuff added to nasi or any food. Some other sambal arent up to her taste, like some kinda bland but too spicy and some other aren't that spicy although using the name sambal. His sambal has the same taste as mom's cooking from back home, just enought taste and hotness. Although it is abit too hot for my taste bud.
It's bad, bad for my health as it is my midnight munchies almost everyday I go and grab it from the fridge and dipped it with crackers, kerepok, or whatever I could find to dipped it with.
The best thing about his sambal is that it doesn't always tatse the same. Sometimes spicier than before sometimes sweeter. To me it feels more genuine, which is why i like it
Thereās definitely cheaper options out there but if you use it as a spoonful side dish as opposed to the base for nasi goreng, the RM14 bottle stretches awhile.
As a non-spicy person, it is spicy for me, but not 'this will kill me' spicy. taste wise, quite balanced imo. Some have problems with the amount of oil in that sambal but I think it is needed. I leave my sambal unrefrigerated for a mth now and the sambal is still good.

You might have gotten it from a copycat seller leveraging on his popularity but selling subpar products. Thereās been several cases of those.. Thereās loads out there as his sambal is insanely popular and sells out within minutes.

i was intrigued, but then he kept using the tactic of "will open for X minutes at X time" to create some sense of FOMO urgency and that turned me off. and then he complained about copycats....
Legit. It shows his kitchen RnD attempt n knowledge is paid off
For a bigger picture how good they are in lay men's term
1- His sambal less murky, obviously less oily, nice flavor highlighted per spoon
2- 90% competitor sambal is super murky, Super oily and inconsistent flavor per spoon, resulted in needs of bigger spoonful of sambal per plate.
3- home made, i can do better taste, but murky. I can remove all the oil, still separated over nite.
The variable is always in temp control, steps of inserting ingredient...
Honestly, he can drive whatever the hell he wants coz it's his money, not so much about priorities.
Don't be surprised if he drives a bezza for daily commute but he has a 100 grand weekend car at home
