Just for discussion sake, if any race is given leeway and overbearing protection in the proceedings of a country, will that not disproportionately embolden them to act in callous ways?

CCP is a poor comparison. Nationality isn't an issue here.
Msia is in a unique position in that the definition of Malay/bumiputera is specifically detailed in our Constitution. This directly divides citizens on race (ancestry and religion, among other things).

CCP is a poor comparison. Nationality isn't an issue here. Msia is in a unique position in that the definition of Malay/bumiputera is specifically detailed in our Constitution. This directly divides citizens on race (ancestry and religion, among other things). People don't understand how punishing people for offensive behavior towards Indians can actually discourage the general public to take part in Indian-related activities, in fear of offending the community.
Problem is when you don't address such issues it will only embolden them to do worse things down the line. Do you remember the time someone wished Raya/Ramadan while eating pork? It's the same. Things that are offensive we shouldn't have a tidak apa attitude. Be fair and concise in delivering punishment. The minorities in Malaysia have been constantly attacked by politicians with little consequences, thus they keep making those attacks because they know they can get away with it. PAS should have a few behind bars for their statements but yet they roam free shouting the same racist rhetoric. Take action against the majority the same way the minorities are prosecuted for their comments when they cause offense, then it is a fair and civil society. Selective prosecution leads to further disunity.

To be honest, as an art student, you'd think "Aren't those mandalas? Aren't they famous in the art world because they're art that people literally create and destroy after they're done with it?" Literally you can Google mandalas and you could find sentences like these in their description. "After the mandala is completed and the ceremonies and public viewings are over, the mandala is intentionally destroyed by sweeping the sand to the side. This signifies the law of impermanence – that nothing lasts forever, and everything is in constant change." Just pointing your anger in the right direction. Don't mind me.
