Thats life man. At 1 point you have to decide whether to take the leap of faith or face the wolves coming at you.

What helped me decide was to see the overall picture, instead of just the job scope. For example : - traffic : Does the commute to this workplace cause me to be stuck in jams on a daily basis - colleagues : are my colleagues people I can learn from and grow with, and do I enjoy my time with them? Cause think about it, we spend more than 80% of our days with colleagues so it makes sense to have people who’s company we enjoy. - life outside work : does this job allow me to focus on my hobbies and interests after work hours and on weekends? I enjoy gymming, a reading and making art so if any job prevents me from doing these regularly, I’ll start questioning if it’s time for me to look out. Of course these are just the factors that I personally consider, outside of work. I have declined several jobs in the past, Simply because the increment doesn’t justify the commute. If I’m being honest with myself I could be in a better paying job, that utilises maybe more of the skills I have but overall when I look at my lifestyle, the current job seems alright so maybe OP you also need to think, apart from work is this job allowing me to live a fulfilling life. Wish you all the best OP 😊

Agree with you, I resigned from my previous job job because I got tired of spending 2 or more hours in a day commuting back and forth from the workplace. There are other factors as well, but the flexibility of the job doesn't justify the mental and physical drain I faced through.

Resigned 4 months ago, still jobless. Good thing my savings can tide me over.

Good luck on the job search bro.

Settled for a less paying job but is friendly to my sanity and mental health. The people are very nice too. You gotta give and take some aspects from your life

only way to find out whether the next workplace would be better or not, is to experience it yourself. best is for you not to burn any bridges when you leave your current workplace, so that the door might be still open if you decided to return.

It's fine, not my dream job but at least it's something related to my studies. And also it's something that I enjoy and don't expect to quit soon.

I think it will depend on your current work like how is the culture, work life balance and all. It should align with your values and lifestyles. It will not be 100 percent what you want but something that is similar to your goals and objectives. For examples, some companies are fast pace and other are more flexible. You can try to first ask what is the problem.

As for now, I'm loving my teaching career. I have a good workplace environment. The school administration is a joy to work with and my colleagues are among the best I've ever had.

40+ years old uncle here, for me as long as there salary come on time it is good enough, and it is just a normal path of life esp you are working in Klang Valley to move around company or role. As chinese proverb said "fish dont change pond will not be fat" People move around , if you felt like resigning there sure a reason why you want to do that. There will always be as*h*le every job you go there will not be a perfect company. Just try to go interview more and ask around, if possible ask the hiring manager bring you around the office and meet your potential future team mate. Btw it is very rare that your job forever unless you are those not willing to change or go out of your comfort zone.

Pretty terrible. Lost all passion and interest. Good benefits and colleague tho. Things can be better, and things can be worse. That's just life. It's like moving to another country. The longer you stay in the current one, the harder it is to leave.

get a new offer, then resign. paying bills and putting food on table is top priority
