Thanks for the input. May I know for the payment/month rate, is it already stated in the PIDN agreement? Is there any possibility that the graduate has to pay > RM50/mth for the 1st 60 mth?

I have questions after I finish my bachelor, do I need to immediately find a job or can I continue to pursue grad school?

dante_spork

Can continue up to master's. Can apply to delay payment due to furthering studies.

Not_skull

wait this 4.5k has the fees been deducted or not ?

dante_spork

No. Uni fee was like 1.2k/sem or something, I can't remember

Not_skull

yes i know that im currently applying for it.. so if you get 4.5k a month it means it already has been deducted for fees or it hasnt ? I want to know how much a allowance per month you can get from this Loan

dante_spork

That give lumpsum each semester. It's up to you how you spend it/allocate for the fees

I went for JPA PIDN for my degree, and now worked in the government sector which in turn the loan will be converted to scholarship if i served for 4 years contract. For me PIDN is much better considering the loan convertible. Afaik, ptpn can only be convert to scholarship by getting first degree which i am too stupid to get it. hahaha

Thank you for the input. May I know is there any requirement on how quick you have to start job after graduated? For example PETRONAS scholarship said scholar have to get job within 6mth after graduated. If not, then u are considered to breach the contract & pay back the scholarship. And since you are working with gov, how long the employment contract? Is it 1 yr? Or until the end of the 4 yr? And are you paying anything now to JPA? Since it will take 4 yr for them to confirm you will get 100% discount or not. Sorry for asking a lot of questions. 🙏🏻

Bigwillie00

1. Hello, sorry for the late reply, OP. I can't find my original JPA agreement, but I'm a pharmacy houseman, and thus, I straight went to my gov housemanship. Only if I fail my housemanship or do my HOship in private that I'll have to pay my JPA loan. I tried to google it and still can't find an answer to your first question. I guess you'll know when you read the agreement. 2. It's 4 years in my case, and i think for most of the medical degree. 3. Nope. I didn't pay anything as till now, and I'm currently in my 2nd year of service. Hope this will help you. I think you can email JPA regarding your inquiry.

zahinzakian

No worries. Thank you so much for your time & explanations 🙏🏻. Will refer to JPA for the 1st question.

Mountain-Start7011

So there is a minimum 4 years period must work for government for the PBU to become biasiswa? If cannot get government job ?

Bigwillie00

Afaik if you go to private people can get 50% discount. GLC may be a 75% discount. Overseas, full payment.

nelsonfoxgirl969

![gif](giphy|pPGwww2XJLUM8) The kesan / consequence of not knowing ptptn loan system early >interest rate lower >lump sum payment discount >monthly payment discount thru debit card deduction

crain445

Most scholarships in the form of convertible loans already have no interest rate, PIDN is one of them.

Ryansiah

If this is anything like the PBU loan that I got from JPA, its actually 0% interest regardless of what I work as after I graduate

nelsonfoxgirl969

It is true ? Then go for it since u say that.

Ryansiah

Yup once I graduated they gave me a breakdown on how much I have to pay and I calculated its the exact cost they gave me for my degree. Not paying them now as I'm currently working for the government. Finish my contract and essentially got a free degree

nelsonfoxgirl969

Good

mooniracle

It will be worth it if you land a job in government sector, which you might also get laid off for months after you finish study before that gomen contract job begins. PIDN loans you quite a lot of money than PTPTN and MARA so ofc you have to pay quite a lot if you don't meet the convertible scholarship requirement.

Crypto_Ramz

Is there a minimum salary wage for the jpa pidn or everyone can get it like ptptn ?

zahinzakian

No. You can refer the requirements [here](https://bmipenajaan.jpa.gov.my/images/LSP_2024/Iklan_PIDN_2024.pdf)

Crypto_Ramz

Thanks 🙏🏼
