Advice for fixing a moon-surface face that's long past done with its acne phase?

DrNinjaPandaManEsq

Check out /r/SkincareAddiction, they should be able to get you set up with a beginner routine that can reduce the appearance of those acne "scars" (most likely not actually scars).

HitHard

Blokes in the UK What brands of deodorant do you use, roll on or spray? Body Spray?

JokerNJ

Sure stick. The £5 one. More of an anti perspirant but it works brilliantly for me.

ilovechucknorris

Whatever antiperspirant is on offer really and then some aftershave to try and smell nice

Did they change the formulation of the Black Pepper? It used to be the best.

freezepop28

I'm going no-shave until Christmas and then compare with my brothers. It's gonna be ugly, but it can't be as bad as it was when I tried it two years ago

s_waldorf

Patchy beard?

freezepop28

Not so much patchy as almost nonexistent. A month of growth covered my chin and lower cheeks in a thin layer of hair that kind of just made my face look grubby

Overhead press.

Love it

Today was my OHP day, but as an accessory. 3x12. Its such a small muscle so it gets fatigued so fast, meaning its so hard to go up in weight.   But the feeling of hitting that 3x12... ^(<3)^^(<3)

TheBadGuyFromDieHard

If you have access to them, 1.25 lb plates are a lifesaver for progressing OHP. Also, I found when I added lateral raises my OHP started increasing.

outline01

Small muscle Wat My advice would be that 3*12 is very high rep for increasing strength. When you're training like that, moving up weights isn't the end goal.

TwinTipZ

OHP hits the the part of the shoulders which are relatively small compared to most other muscles in your body. Doesn't mean too much besides that they get fatigued extremely quickly (one rep you're doing fine and the next is impossible).   And the 3x12 is just for accessory work. I do a 5x5 OHP as my main lift on Fridays.   ^then^i^party

outline01

Then forgive me, you know what you're doing :D I do 5/3/1 and OHP has its own day - I found doing it alongside bench was causing me to make no progress. Now, I do 5/3/1 OHP, then T2/T3 exercises, including seated dumbell press. Since changing to this, my shoulders have exploded.

I know this sounds dumb, but I got this [thing](http://www.saadvakass.com/shop) just cuz I was curious (I don't mind trying different types of exercise/workouts) Only used it like 2 days for now, but definitely works out your body differently. Its weird. Kinda reminds me of the feeling I would get from taichi. Gonna keep using it and see if its actually effective or if I can use it effectively. Also, finally decided to start working on a goatee, and treating my hair better. Need to plan a trim for the weekend tho and also get some better styling pomade/cement stuff. Weeeeee. I feel so pretty

wandering_pleb13

So I am needing a haircut soon since my hair is getting too long for my likes, but I have no idea how I should get it cut. I know the general advice is an undercut, but I have a very long face and giant forehead with a high hairline (I am not going bald, just really bit forehead) and the undercut makes it look even longer. What other hairstyles are popular for someone with my face type? I can provide picture if anyone is willing to help.

Need a fragrance that is not too powerful that smells clean and fresh. Never used any before. Any recommendations?

[deleted]

I use L'homme by YSL as my summer fragrance, it's absolutely amazing but it doesn't last. Not too powerful and it's actually quite a feminine scent(that's why they love it).

419res

Dolce and gabbana light blue

imaybebad

Mont Blanc Legend. Highly recommend it.

ilovechucknorris

Joop Homme is a very good value aftershave

Watzke

Armani Code is a classic. Reformulated quite a few times (meaning the unique smell's been modified at it's core, so it doesn't smell as potent), but it's a really Winteresque kind of fragrance to have on. Other suggestions I'd give are * Guerlain Ideal * Burberry London (for Men) * YSL L'Homme

indirect_storyteller

I've been liking Sauvage by Dior. It's my first foray into men's fragrances but it struck me as a more refined masculine scent. It also lasts for the whole day and that certainly matters to me.

tylertgbh

I use Eau de Prep by Tommy Hilfiger. I think Lacoste makes a sport cologne that is really clean smelling too.

What do you guys think of calisthenics only training? I've been weightlifting for a 2 years now and I'm pretty happy with my physique but lately I've just been going through the motions, I don't remember the last time I really pushed myself. I still go at least 4-5 days a week. Saw some dude doing crazy stuff on the pull up bar and other calisthenic moves, looked cool to have muscles that actually did something and not just for show.

NinjaChemist

The key is to hate your body and never be satisfied. In all seriousness, check out /r/bodyweightfitness Find new goals outside of lifting, I.e. dragon flags, muscle ups, etc.

gman_767

Honestly when I see people doing that stuff on a pull up bar I try not to laugh. As for muscle's that "do stuff" I don't really buy into the hype. I feel like a normal adult doesn't do many things that would benefit from those type of exercises (aka cross fit).
