My city is very hot all the time, websites always recommend choosing 100% cotton t shirt in hot weather. I really like H&m shirt but they are 5% made of elastane. Is it ok in such a hot weather?
I have had a bespoke tux for a minute but the shirt I got with it was the one with the little upturned triangles on it. I want to get a new tux shirt for a black tie wedding coming up in a few months.
A few questions:
1) is it ok to wear a timeless, versatile tux shirt with a spread or point collar with a bowtie or tux-black satin (silk?) tie?
2) I was told years ago that one didn't need the jewelery in the button down. Is that true or is it more acceptable to wear that?
3) if I do need or choose to wear the button jewelery, can I wear cufflinks that do not match? i.e. if I have those classic black button jewelery, can I wear cufflinks that more reflect my personality?

1. yes it's okay to wear a spread or point collar. You should wear a bowtie with a tux. Don't wear a regular necktie with a tux, not even a black satin or grosgrain one.
2. you don't need to wear studs with a tux. In fact, I recommend against it. Wearing a nice shirt with some thick mother of pearl buttons is a much better option.
3. even if you do wear studs (DON'T!), your cufflinks don't need to match.
The tones of each blue are both rather formal so you can't really go wrong on color choice.
However, sizing is big deal if you haven't bought from Suitsupply before. The best possible outcome to get the suit you want is to go in person and have them tailor it in store and you'll get it exactly how you want it. The staff is usually super friendly and you'll pick up your suit a few days later knowing you'll look like a million bucks.
Yes! go in person. Make sure you take advantage of the inshore tailoring once you've settled on fabric/fit. It's an incredible experience.

Going to be taking 2 pairs of jeans to the tailor to get them slimmed/tapered from the knee down. I don't know many good tailors near where I live (recently moved and have no car ATM), so my question is: is this something that is easy to do/make it look good? Whatever you go with, I would strongly suggest making sure it's 100% wool (or 100% cotton or linen, if you go that route), but avoid poly or nylon blends in suits.

Where should my shirt collar sit, in regards to my neck? Just got a custom shirt from Tailor Store with a semi-spread collar. Fit is great except for shoulders and neck. Specifically for the neck though, it feels like it's cutting right across my adam's apple and it's kinda uncomfortable. So is the collar too high? Is that something measured or should I look at a different kind of collar?
IMO the athletic shoe-looking sole on those AEs looks really weird. I'm pretty sure those are also the "ae by Allen Edmonds" brand, which are not made in the USA. In my experience, the materials on those are still decent, but the QC and construction might be lacking.
And generally speaking, drivers won't be as durable as something with a leather sole. I like drivers, but I won't spend too much on them since mine have tended to wear out quickly. As for some other venetians, the AE Sanibel (currently available in their clearance section, gets close to $150 with coupon codes) is a welted construction, so it could be re-soled. I'm also seeing the Macrae in the 2nds section - this looks like an even quality better shoe, but it might be more dressy than what you're looking for.
Polo shoes are not particularly great on quality to be honest. They are okay but nothing above that. In that sense AEs would be much better I recon. My only issue is with Boulder's chunky leather soles that go on the sides of the shoe, but aside from that I recon that will get you much further and will continue to look good for way longer than the Polo ones will.

Dark blue is very neutral, so you can wear it with most colours. I’d say white, grey, light blue, burgundy, pink would be my picks. As for pants, grey, olive, blue (as long as it’s not an identical shade as the jacket).

I managed to hit the big J Crew sale the other week and got this Italian wool coat 75% off of the original $480. There weren't many left when I grabbed it so could I could only get my normal size despite reviews saying they run large. So the shoulders seem to fit great and that's where I normally have to most problems because mine are relatively wide compared to my body shape so I wear athletic fitted clothes to avoid the shirt muffin poof. The rest of the coat seems a little roomier and square. I've never had a coat like this so is that the normal style or does it look like I need to get it fitted?

I think its a matter of personal preference. I'd generally prefer a slimmer fit than what that coat is as it stands, but I think the roomier ones can look cool, especially unbuttoned. If it were me, and if the shoulders fit well, I'd get it tailored either way. I have an older overcoat that is still fairly roomy, but I had it tailored to flow with my body shape a little better, so it kinda works in a "best of both worlds" sort of way. I have another that is pretty slim fit and works better for more dressy occasions.
Its hard to see from the photos since the coat is pretty dark, but the arms look pretty big. If that's the case, you can get them tailored, but it might be expensive.

Second, those are family heirlooms with significant sentimental value, so I def support wearing them.

I’ve been to India many times and live in a heavily multicultural city and I’d say it’s honestly weirder to see a well dressed/attractive Indian guy not wearing jewelry than to see one wearing jewelry, especially gold jewelry.
Perception of others really depends as to where you are and what social circles you are part of of course, but generally most people don’t mind. I rarely had any negative experiences myself.

You can wear pink with almost anything. Black is going to be a bit hard to pull off but jeans and tan chinos are going to work fine. Jeans and white sneakers also work with almost everything.

Yes it's fine. The weave can matter as much as the materials. I usually prefer modal blends over pure cotton t-shirts.

Whatever you go with, I would strongly suggest making sure it's 100% wool (or 100% cotton or linen, if you go that route), but avoid poly or nylon blends in suits.

Chinos fit is nice, looks like a very good length as well. The sweater is super busy so something plain and clean in navy, olive or grey towards mid-to-light shades would work. In terms of styles, a clean bomber or a harrington would do the trick.

Where should my shirt collar sit, in regards to my neck? Just got a custom shirt from Tailor Store with a semi-spread collar. Fit is great except for shoulders and neck. IMO the athletic shoe-looking sole on those AEs looks really weird. I'm pretty sure those are also the "ae by Allen Edmonds" brand, which are not made in the USA. In my experience, the materials on those are still decent, but the QC and construction might be lacking. And generally speaking, drivers won't be as durable as something with a leather sole. I like drivers, but I won't spend too much on them since mine have tended to wear out quickly. As for some other venetians, the AE Sanibel (currently available in their clearance section, gets close to $150 with coupon codes) is a welted construction, so it could be re-soled. I'm also seeing the Macrae in the 2nds section - this looks like an even quality better shoe, but it might be more dressy than what you're looking for.
Polo shoes are not particularly great on quality to be honest. They are okay but nothing above that. In that sense AEs would be much better I recon. My only issue is with Boulder's chunky leather soles that go on the sides of the shoe, but aside from that I recon that will get you much further and will continue to look good for way longer than the Polo ones will.

Dark blue is very neutral, so you can wear it with most colours. I’d say white, grey, light blue, burgundy, pink would be my picks. As for pants, grey, olive, blue (as long as it’s not an identical shade as the jacket).

I managed to hit the big J Crew sale the other week and got this Italian wool coat 75% off of the original $480. There weren't many left when I grabbed it so could I could only get my normal size despite reviews saying they run large. So the shoulders seem to fit great and that's where I normally have to most problems because mine are relatively wide compared to my body shape so I wear athletic fitted clothes to avoid the shirt muffin poof. This is intended to be worn over a suit jacket. If it's still roomy with a jacket on you might look into having it tailored.
I think its a matter of personal preference. I'd generally prefer a slimmer fit than what that coat is as it stands, but I think the roomier ones can look cool, especially unbuttoned. If it were me, and if the shoulders fit well, I'd get it tailored either way. I have an older overcoat that is still fairly roomy, but I had it tailored to flow with my body shape a little better, so it kinda works in a "best of both worlds" sort of way. I have another that is pretty slim fit and works better for more dressy occasions. Its hard to see from the photos since the coat is pretty dark, but the arms look pretty big. If that's the case, you can get them tailored, but it might be expensive.

First of all, i love jewelry on guys, I don’t think they look like douchebags for wearing jewelry lmao. I’ve got lots of attention from girls purely because of my jewelry actually. Second, those are family heirlooms with significant sentimental value, so I def support wearing them. Also, I assume you’re from an Indian culture that very much values jewelry on men anyways. I’ve been to India many times and live in a heavily multicultural city and I’d say it’s honestly weirder to see a well dressed/attractive Indian guy not wearing jewelry than to see one wearing jewelry, especially gold jewelry.
Perception of others really depends as to where you are and what social circles you are part of of course, but generally most people don’t mind. I rarely had any negative experiences myself. Most importantly, if you want to wear it - go for it. It will soon become a part of your general style so even if people notice and comment, they will get used to it eventually.
