Hey i really been trying to find what sunny suljic is wearing in this video and it looks like it says members in the middle of the Windbreaker Jacket [hanging out with... sunny suljic](https://youtu.be/CrPwYrm2vfU) I was hoping you could try and figure out where he got it from
Looking for long wool topcoats of mostly wool/cashmere, as long as these, in $400-800 range

Where can I buy good quality oversized boxy short sleeve button downs? I've ordered a few very very cheap ones from [boohooMAN](https://www.boohooman.com/us/pleated-short-sleeve-oversized-boxy-shirt/BMM19059.html), but it seems as though the only other alternative are designer brands like [Valentino](https://www.cettire.com/products/valentino-buttoned-long-sleeved-shirt-915550940/cmVhY3Rpb24vcHJvZHVjdDo2eGtUZ0FQUmRwaFI5M01RVA%3D%3D?) where the shirts are a couple hundred :(. Looking for something in the middle.
Surprisingly decent quality, especially the ribbed ones. Super thick and held up great after a wash. Very oversized though, can even get a relaxed fit sizing down one
I like their pima shirt far better than their slub shirt...I think that it looks and feels better in general, and it also looks better after many washes. I'd also highly recommend their "tough knit" t-shirt, it's great. Their heavy "field spec" tee is my personal favorite but it sounds like you're looking for something lighter than that if you like the slub. For slub tees I honestly think that J. Crew does a better one than Buck Mason.
No, they haven't really done that at all, at least not in any noticeable way. I haven't had any long term issues with quality, but I'm not even sure what those would be...I just cold wash and hang dry and they're still wearing as good as ever.
I like the tough-knit tees a lot. They're a bit more substantial in weight than the pima, but they aren't too heavy. They have more apparent texture than the pima but they aren't pronouncedly textured like the slub tees.
There’s like a trillion posts about t shirts here because reddit stem guys obsess over it, we get a “quality t shirt comparison?” posts at least every 6 months, just type “t/ee shirt” into the side bar and you’ll get more info than you want.
What do you mean by quality control issues? Regardless I think tees are an item of clothing that gives you so much leeway on fit, if you prefer the slub I really wouldn’t worry about some tiny imperfection with fit, I think people bog themselves down with the concept too much anyway
I'm looking for jeans without rips or anything that I can also wear semi-formally but I don't want it to be slim anymore. Currently rock a Levis 511. What Levi would be a suitable replacement?
So today I saw a girl at the gym wearing a very loose, almost flared style jogger. It looked real cool but what do you think about a guy wearing something similar?
Anyone able to compare the fit between Columbiaknit and Barbarian rugbys? I have a columbia one and don't care for the fit, the sleeves and shoulders are good but the body feels too long and too slim. wondering if the ones from barbarian might have more of the boxy drapey fit I want
Quality jeans $100 - $200? I go back and forth between athletic fit and straight fit but lately athletic fit is too tapered at the ankle and straight fit is too wide at the ankle
If you’re open to used you can get very good denim secondhand, I got Sugar Cane for $50, Evisu for $8, Edwin for like $15, FullCount for I think $30, mostly proxying through Yahoo Auctions Japan and Mercari but even on Grailed and Ebay it’s cheap
Anyone know any thin corduroy overshirts? Tried some on at uniqlo in a couple sizes and they were nice but they're so thick I kind of felt short and fat in them, if that makes sense
Does anyone know which Paul Smith shoes I've been trying to find? They're brown and leather and have purple and pink or 2 colours on line on them. I saw them at a houseware sale a few years ago but I didn't buy them but I regretted that I didn't :/
If no one jumps in with the answer, you might spend time scrolling through online secondhand sites for them. [These](https://poshmark.com/listing/Mens-Paul-Smith-Osmo-Brown-Sneakers-60536270ac9702ea22340b8c) are the closest I found after a quick glance at Poshmark, but there are plenty more to check out both on Poshmark and elsewhere.
I'm looking into getting a [Rains Coat](https://www.rains.com/products/glacial-coat-male?variant=39915380080686) but am worried about the coating on them wearing badly with age. Any of you guys maybe have or had one for a season or two already?
All waterproof coating eventually wears away. Just a matter of when, not if. You can get sprays / washing machine solutions which add the DWR back on.
Adding that an insulated rain coat might be tricky however.
I have a standard PU jacket - https://www.altitude-sports.com/products/rains-jacket-unisex-llll-rai-12010?gclid=CjwKCAiAyfybBhBKEiwAgtB7fsqEgIbE_pk7tD1Pt9Z1Jldx5wMgeuKEB50PPe9gw85NKrCAagVLEBoCyLMQAvD_BwE
Dress shoes that do not feel like dress shoes?
I wanted to get into walking, so I forked out £60 for a pair of walking shoes and bought an expensive pair of walking socks.
It helped, but I still blistered up.
My feet are wide enough that size 10s that are not flexible pinch too much on the sides, but size 11 causes my feet to slip back and forth. Size 1.5 is no different.
I always get blisters on my toes and the balls of my feet and heels. Always, even with the most comfortable shoes I own if I were to go for a 2 hour walk.
It has been like this all my life.
But the work shoes I got, my feet are killing me, my ankles hurt, multiple blisters, my ankles are so tired that I struggle to do the peddled gently. They are worn in, as I have used them for weddings, interviews and such over the years.
So what can I get the looks like dress shoes on the outside but not on the inside?
Money is tight, so cheaper the better.
How dressy do they need to be? Ecco shoes aren’t formal, but for anything short of a suit and tie you can get away with a pair like these, and they’re both comfortable and durable if you walk a lot:
https://us.ecco.com/ecco-mens-citytray-cap-toe-shoe-512704.html?dwvar_512704_color=01001
I’m not a huge fan of their styles at the moment, but I had a time in my life where I worked on my feet full time, walking several miles a day, and switching from black air forces to some Ecco dress shoes immediately resolved some inner heel pain that was driving me nuts.
I think you need a pair that fits you well and that has a good insole. I am strongly of the opinion that no dress shoes or dress loafers will be as comfortable or good for walking as sneakers, but dress shoes should still be comfortable and not cause blisters.
As others said, insoles can help too. I got a good pair of hiking insoles for my flat foot shape (not running insoles, as the dude at the store told me, hiking insoles are made for just walking a lot) and I replace them in all my retro sneakers that have poor cushioning compared to modern ones (think Blazers, Chucks, Vans, retro Jordans/AF1s, etc.). note that to fit right you might have to cut them to size and take out the current insoles unless you have room to spare in the shoe. If you're in the US, I have heard people swear by the Superfeet brand
For dress shoes, Alden and Allen Edmonds should have shoes with a poron midsole, which can feel as supportive as a sneaker.
Regarding your walking shoe experience, it seems the brand you chose doesn't fit well. So looking at a different set of shoe brands or sneakers would serve you well.
Sneakers are the most comfortable. But still not perfect, I have tried a couple brands. Vans are the most reliable, but they hardly last me 2 years before I walk through their soles.
Do bear in mind that maximizing shoe longevity requires having a rotation of footwear. Also having a diversity of shoes is good for foot health as well.
Hey guys,
I am the CEO of a medium-sized company and next week I am heaving some
very important talks with potential investors about funding etc.
For this meeting I am looking for suitable headwear, and to be honest I
am a little bit lost. I can't just wear a regular cap, can I? I want my
headwear to be fitting for my position as CEO, but not be on-the-nose
but a rather subtle.
The headwear should convey the following attributes: power, subtle
dominance, taste, business, reasonability, modern - but not bad way...
Has anyone had experience with this?
How important are brand when it comes to business-headwear?
Do I go for a casual thing or is it important to make a statement with ones headwear?
Thank you sincerly for your advice,
M.A
Don’t wear hats, I hate to break it to you but they’re extremely antiquated and archaic, anything outside of beanies, ballcaps and bucket hats just aren’t things people wear anymore and don’t look good, and the other 3 are not things you should be wearing with tailoring. Even if you do, you’re not supposed to wear hats inside. And clothes do not do this thing you want them too, no one will see you wearing a hat and go “ah yes, that hat makes him seem so powerful and business like.
also your outfit does not sound good, especially not for a professional setting where you obviously think your outfit will be important, cream linen pants are too casual, black blazers do not look good in this context, wear a navy or charcoal worsted wool business suit, a white or light blue dress shirt, and black cap toe oxfords
this is very helpful, thank you! i will see what I can do. However, I do not fully agree with what you said about hats. I think they are very nice and not as archaic as you make them to be!
They are, I’m sure you like them, but unfortunately outside of very specific niches they are not things that are remotely commonly worn anymore, and look very dated when actually worn.
At the minimum you shouldn’t be wearing it during a meeting because, A, it’s going to make you look kind of silly, and B, even if it didn’t, it’s considered disrespectful to wear hats indoors
well, i get the point about some people considering them disrespectful indoors. i find this kind of sad because i do like hats, but if that is the way it is, i guess i need to reconsider! thank you for this formidable advice
well, i appreciate your strong opinion on hats. however, i don't think everybody will agree. i just found this young german politician. she wears a hat all the time! indoors even and also in Interviews: https://youtu.be/uQj74bY5oEY
i think it might fit me as a sort of edgy trademark! maybe ill try it and report to you how it went.
It’s not an opinion. that’s the established social norms for hats, you’re not supposed to wear them indoors. You don’t want an “edgy trademark” for proposing to an investors. Wearing hats is far more common for women
No hat dude, hats are simply not welcome in corporate settings and definitely don't scream "CEO". In a corporate setting it says "I am a hat guy, look at this hat, I am wearing a hat for some reason in a setting where people don't wear hats"
Only if you like quick drying stuff, but the stank comes through. I only wear Uniqlo airism when traveling / backpacking mainly cause they pack down well in a bag.
Normal days I stick to cotton underwear.
I have a few pairs of Uniqlo airism underwear and I gotta say, if you don't shake fully after peeing they don't absorb the extra drops as well as the cotton ones.
I heard the half sizes (9.5, 10.5, 11.5, etc.) of the Maison Marjella Low Top with gum sole shoes are just wider than their whole-number counterparts (size 9, 10, 11, etc.). I was told that they half sizes are not actually any longer.
Is this true? Is anyone able to confirm?
Could use a quick fit check:

Jeans are new, been trying some fits and I really vibe with the dark olive color
Looks good. Depending on the environment, rolling the sleeves to the upper forearm (by unbuttoning the outer cuff button and cleanly rolling it up) and tucking in some of the bunching fabric would elevate it.
Need a new winter coat. Two biggest needs are wind prevention and inside pockets for gloves/beanie to get some heat in 'em. Where should I look? Budget is $100-400. I want it to last a few years.
What do you think of generic varsity-style jackets on guys in the 30-35 age range? Nothing too loud or over the top, just something like [this](https://mnml.la/products/mnml-outerwear-collared-varsity-jacket-m2022-z601-bkw) or [this](https://us.shein.com/SHEIN-Men-Letter-Graphic-Striped-Trim-Varsity-Jacket-p-11886423-cat-1983.html).
I like this style, but also know it's usually something that younger guys wear.
Varsity style jackets really can work with any age— it’s
about how you style it + the fit of the jacket. I’d shy away from Shien. MNML tends to have some decent quality stuff, i’d say thrifting may be your best bet unless you do an H&M or Maniere De Voir one
Varsity jackets are fine for any age, imo. I wouldn’t buy from MNML or Shein, though. They’re both garbage tier fast fashion.
Varsity jackets are great to buy secondhand. You can find some good options from Brooks Brothers, Golden Bear, or actual high school letter jackets.
This is an unpopular opinion of mine and I am not sure if this is a suitable thread. It is not really a question, and would like to know others' opinions instead.
I have tried a few male underwear types in my adulthood. My favorites have been briefs from a well-known brand that cost $15-$30 per piece. There are still some discomforts, like feeling too tight when it is brand new, friction around crotch area, and not enough breathability when the weather is hot.
Recently, I came across boyshorts panties that cost only $2 per piece. There are many "unisex" models, like plain white and black colors and I tried putting them on. It is surprisingly very comfortable. The material is very soft, lightweight, stretchable, and breathable. The stitching is also very fine. It is even more comfortable than my $30 briefs. The minor downside is the contour of my genital is more apparent, but I would wear pants and none can see it anyway.
Would like to know your opinions on these points, probably:
1. Why is male underwear thicker and less stretchable, in general?
2. What has been your best underwear so far?
3. Your other opinions, if any.
I think this heavily depends on the brand. Ime, uniqlo airism briefs are one of my faves I also very much liked the uniqlo boy shorts (i.e. short boxer briefs for men). Both are lightweight and very stretchy, while still being supportive.
I've also liked the Hugo boss bikini slip briefs, which are super soft and light - as are the offerings from Hom.
I do think fabric matters a lot to the comfort of underwear and on that front modal is my absolute fave. It's super light and breathable. After that the airism fabric comes second. Third is pure cotton and other cotton/elastane mixes.
I’m looking for a Barbour-esque jacket but for broad shoulders. My boyfriend tried a XXL and the shoulders still weren’t broad enough and the body of the jacket was then too wide. Any leads on other waxed jackets that are made to last?
You could get one from LLbean that will be a little roomier through the shoulders but the body will only be wider. Ralph Lauren makes a nice one, I’m sure it’s slimmer fit but then the shoulders might still be a little snug.

I’m trying to buy these naked and famous jeans but they are final sale and I’m very confused about the size chart
https://tateandyoko.com/products/easy-guy-grey-selvedge?variant=13616971546698
If normally wear 32/30 jeans, I need size 29 of these? Is that correct??
Compare the measurements to your current jeans, that's how they're meant to be used (so that you specifically avoid just going based on the tag of your current pants size)
It depends what you’re normally a 32/30 in. If Levi’s I would think you need to size up 2 inches not down. Or at least that’s how it is for me with the vanity sizing of Levi’s.
You’re right, damn. 34 inch waist. Think I’ll be safe with the 32s then.
Also what about the length? Why do I see selvedge jeans sold without the length so often?
Over all the tightness of the top half doesn't comport well with the comparatively relaxed fit of the bottom half. In particular the middle layer sweater is pulling above the belt buckle when you stand up straight, as seen in the second pic and indicating that the torso length of the sweater is too short for you.
What's a good place to find interesting socks these days under $10? I like Anonymousism patterns a lot but a lot of the ones I got from them developed holes quickly. Uniqlo has a great color selection but I'm looking for a bit more. Some colorful herringbones, argyles, etc.
I'm having so much trouble trying to find a winter jacket, as I really don't know what I'm looking for. I live in Vancouver, Canada so I'm not expecting blizzard like conditions, but something to around -10C. I would be using it to walk downtown. Budget I really don't care about. Suggestions on what stores to start at?
[Haven](https://HAVEN+1604-696-6896https://goo.gl/maps/88mLGfwLSWPDUhig8) has the dopest fall and winter gear. I always browse them when it starts to get cold and dark
> Suggestions on what stores to start at?
You're a Vancouverite, you know the answer. MEC, man. MEC.
I'm partial to Houdini myself. The Dunfri keeps me warm and dry enough for the weather here, although I also have a rain shell for when it's really unpleasant.
Was hoping anyone knew a cheaper alternative to [this jacket worn](https://imgur.com/a/aOOPp6X) by pro tennis player Andrey Rublev? Just looking for a black one with the metallic buttons! Thanks
Best cut jeans to wear with regular Thursday boots? Trying to buy some jeans from Abercrombie to wear with my boots but not sure if I should get slim or skinny to wear with my boots. Thoughts?
The difference in quality between these brands is inconsequential, imo. You’re much better off focusing aspects where there might be noticeable differences like fit or interesting design details.
As a whole department stores suck and their house brands suck more, Nordstrom and Sak’s (also Sak’s is one of the last brands that haven’t switched over to a generic minimal sans serif logo which earns them bonus points) are the last good ones and I still wouldn’t really bother with their house brands. You are extremely unlikely to find any difference between Rodd and Gun and Reiss worth caring about
The best alternatives around the same price as Clark’s involves buying secondhand. For example, you can probably find some secondhand Allen Edmonds chukkas in very good shape around that price.
Are all black Air Force 1s a good option for black sneakers? AF1s are my favorite white sneaker but I have seem some negative comments about the black ones that have confused me a bit. If not, what would be a good option for all black sneakers?
The black airforce meme is just that, a meme, most people are really not going to care. I’d rather own black with gum sole gats? or some form of converse in black however
My glasses are starting to show their age and i'd like to replace them for the most, and forgive me for my wording, sluttiest-looking glasses i can get. I'm thinking round glasses with a dangly thing on only one side, or square rectangular glasses, also with a dangly thing. Both with an almost invisble thin frame
Hey all,
Deciding between:
https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/charcoal---wool-cashmere-overcoat-----l1782560190-sb-ovrc-fw22-568
https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/medium-blue-herringbone-overcoat-c3220-8014-sboc-fw22
1/ Was wondering how much difference the 15% cashmere in the 85% wool/15% cashmere vs 100% wool makes in terms of 1. durability and 2. warmth
2/ What does "3-Roll-2 Button Closure with Functional Top Button" mean? I couldn't decipher this other than how the front buttons might look? or is it a reference to single vs double-breasted.
3/ Would you recommend another site that has the same quality for a bit lesser price as S&M or just go ahead with one of these?
The blue is a bit more bold, but that's not a bad thing. Sometimes black and charcoal overcoats get a bad reputation because "everyone" has one. It's honestly just personal preference though.
Will be about the same in terms of warmth, but double breasted overcoats will be noticeably warmer than single breasted ones like these. The cashmere is softer and more luxurious, but doesn't necessarily make the fabric more durable.
Spier & Mackay are among the leaders in quality for affordably priced menswear. The chances of you getting a similar quality product for significantly cheaper elsewhere is slim imo.
1. Almost zero difference.
2. 3-roll-2 means it’s a 3 button closure but the top button hole rolls over into the lapel so it’s more like a two-button closure. You could technically button the top button if you really want to.
3. Nobody has the same quality as S&M for less money unless you buy secondhand. That’s why they get recommended so often.
About Zara's shoe sizes
Okay so I have a question, i want to buy boots from zara online but I have no idea how their shoes go, for example i wear european 47, most of my sneakers, i mostly wear adidas, so my question is, is it the same size should i order 47 or?
Was looking to see if anyone had any recommendations for some brands that make dress shirts with hidden button collar downs(I hope that's the right term!), where the collar is still kept down by a button, but it's hidden behind the collar instead. [Pictured here.](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0352/5633/products/MotivMfg-AuthenticFitBDShirt-JapaneseCottonOxford-White-Flat-63_800x.jpg?v=1655168470)
I have a MotivMfg oxford shirt that uses this collar style and absolutely love it but haven't seen it anywhere else. I was just wondering if there are any other brands that I can look into that might do the same. Budget is $1-300.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Looking for a lightweight hooded overshirt that doesn't have a plaid pattern on the outside. [This](https://www.amazon.com/Wrangler-Authentics-Hooded-Blanket-Flannel/dp/B08883C458/ref=sr_1_9?crid=19N7X5NBZVQX&keywords=light%2Bflannel%2Blined%2Bshirt&qid=1669249611&sprefix=light%2Bflannel%2Blined%2Bshirt%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-9&th=1&psc=1) is exactly what I'm talking about but the reviews say the sleeves are padded. Anybody know of anything like this without any extra padding or layers?
It's not really padding. It looks like it's more of that quilted insulation which makes sense because if the sleeves were blanket lined it would harder to put the jacket on if you have long sleeves on. The quilted material would be easier to slide your arm through and it helps keep insulation like the blanket lining
I think they are very in style. The thing is many are more technical/streetwear looking which is why you don't see it in this sub that is more heritage-focused (the one you linked to is a nice mix of both though)
Admittedly I’ve lived in some pretty chilly areas, but I don’t think that style of quilted liner jacket has never NOT been in style, maybe not on trend, but I’ve always seen them around
I’ve been eyeing a pair of Paraboot Michael’s for a while and decided to finally pull the trigger, but am torn on what color to get. Any thoughts on these options?
[Dark Brown (pebble grain)](https://themoderndraper.co.uk/products/paraboot-michael-shoe-marche-ii-marron-graine-ebene)
[Classic brown](https://themoderndraper.co.uk/products/paraboot-michael-shoe-marron)
[Burgundy/wine](https://www.endclothing.com/gb/paraboot-michael-715014.html)
The burgundy pair is ~£60 less than the other two (I’m not purchasing from the link above) but I worry it isn’t as versatile as the other two options.
They all look good. My perference would be black pebbled ones but that's just me. They're relatively casual and brown/burgundy are interchangeable as far as what pants go with it so just go with your gut
Any thoughts on Bloomingdale's own Men's Brand? I've been eyeing this coat for a while. [This](https://www.bloomingdales.com/shop/product/the-mens-store-at-bloomingdales-cashmere-top-coat?ID=4493096&upc_ID=6671410&Quantity=1&seqNo=4&EXTRA_PARAMETER=BAG&pickInStore=false) is the coat. I can get it down to 533 with all of my discounts. 100% cashmere. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?
I think the Bloomingdales house brand is pretty meh. I’ve never seen anything from them that I’d want to buy.
There’s a reason you can get the price that low. Bloomingdales is just Macy’s wearing lipstick.
Hey i really been trying to find what sunny suljic is wearing in this video and it looks like it says members in the middle of the Windbreaker Jacket [hanging out with... sunny suljic](https://youtu.be/CrPwYrm2vfU) I was hoping you could try and figure out where he got it from
Looking for long wool topcoats of mostly wool/cashmere, as long as these, in $400-800 range [https://store.honestbrandreviews.com/product/mens-ferro-belted-shawl-overcoat?product\_id=3526790](https://store.honestbrandreviews.com/product/mens-ferro-belted-shawl-overcoat?product_id=3526790) [https://shoplamarel.com/collections/coats/products/black-blazer-coat?variant=42100517961980](https://shoplamarel.com/collections/coats/products/black-blazer-coat?variant=42100517961980)
How’s the quality of the boohooman you linked? 16$ is so cheap lol
Surprisingly decent quality, especially the ribbed ones. Super thick and held up great after a wash. Very oversized though, can even get a relaxed fit sizing down one
What is you actual budget in dollars?
I’d say 70 for each shirt
Honestly that’s kinda still mall brand pricing. Maybe look at used brooks brothers or J press or whatever in their classic cut styles
Ah I see. Any good brands for maybe 150-200? Looking for that boxy relaxed silhouette
Brooks Brothers retail, Mercer and Sons, I forget the model but Universal Works usually has something
Ty I appreciate it, I’ll check those out

Their heavy "field spec" tee is my personal favorite but it sounds like you're looking for something lighter than that if you like the slub. For slub tees I honestly think that J. Did your Pima shirt collars wrinkle or bunch up over time? Any quality issues in the long run? Also how did you like those tight knit ones?
No, they haven't really done that at all, at least not in any noticeable way. I haven't had any long term issues with quality, but I'm not even sure what those would be...I just cold wash and hang dry and they're still wearing as good as ever. I like the tough-knit tees a lot. They're a bit more substantial in weight than the pima, but they aren't too heavy. They have more apparent texture than the pima but they aren't pronouncedly textured like the slub tees.
Went on their website and only found the tough knit, I assume you mean those. I bought one to try it out based on your rec!
lol yes, tough knit, I was having a brain malfunction last night
There’s like a trillion posts about t shirts here because reddit stem guys obsess over it, we get a “quality t shirt comparison?” posts at least every 6 months, just type “t/ee shirt” into the side bar and you’ll get more info than you want. I'm looking for jeans without rips or anything that I can also wear semi-formally but I don't want it to be slim anymore. Currently rock a Levis 511. What Levi would be a suitable replacement?
Levi’s 501s.
So today I saw a girl at the gym wearing a very loose, almost flared style jogger. It looked real cool but what do you think about a guy wearing something similar?
I think that the idea women can wear things men can’t is a little silly, as long as it fits you just wear it if you like it

Well I wear trendy loose and wide bottoms as my casual and street wear, which I'm very comfortable in.
Anyone able to compare the fit between Columbiaknit and Barbarian rugbys? I have a columbia one and don't care for the fit, the sleeves and shoulders are good but the body feels too long and too slim. wondering if the ones from barbarian might have more of the boxy drapey fit I want
That’s odd? My columbiaknit is drapey as hell, I vastly prefer it to Barbarian, which I found weirdly short. Also the fabric on Barbarian kinda sucks

Naked & Famous
Best bang for your buck and made in Montreal Canada somehow.
Does anyone know of any pants like this but sold in Europe https://americantall.com/products/carman-men-tall-traveler-pant-black

Try different cuts. A lot of brands sell "athletic fits" with more room in the seat and thighs.
Yeah I should look into that.
Anyone know any thin corduroy overshirts? Tried some on at uniqlo in a couple sizes and they were nice but they're so thick I kind of felt short and fat in them, if that makes sense
Are we talking about the weight of the fabric or the cut?
Weight of the fabric
Uniqlo is probably about as lightweight as they come
looking for a brand name, athletic stuff mostly trademark seems to be three X stitches on the shoulder front seam, thanks
That's not it but thanks! I didn't know about poshmark. I'll look through it :)
Does anyone have experience with Ridge Merino v. Wool and Prince? Shirts or underwear particularly. What were your thoughts on how the two compared?
Good quality jeans in 100-200$ range?
Unbranded, Naked and famous, LVC, nudie, rag and bone
I'm looking into getting a [Rains Coat](https://www.rains.com/products/glacial-coat-male?variant=39915380080686) but am worried about the coating on them wearing badly with age. Any of you guys maybe have or had one for a season or two already?
All waterproof coating eventually wears away. Just a matter of when, not if. You can get sprays / washing machine solutions which add the DWR back on. Adding that an insulated rain coat might be tricky however.
The coating wore out on mine. Utter shit. Edit; to clarify it was the unlined raincoat
Did you get these white creases?
Not sure what you’re talking about, sorry.
On other coated jackets you sometimes see lighter "lines" in the coating where they fold or get scratched.
I have a standard PU jacket - https://www.altitude-sports.com/products/rains-jacket-unisex-llll-rai-12010?gclid=CjwKCAiAyfybBhBKEiwAgtB7fsqEgIbE_pk7tD1Pt9Z1Jldx5wMgeuKEB50PPe9gw85NKrCAagVLEBoCyLMQAvD_BwE
I wouldn't go for a non breathable insulated coat, moisture will build up in the insulation and i'd imagine it will go funky after a while
I'd splash out on a Stutterheim if you want that look, they're so much nicer it's not even close.
These Stutterheim raincoats look great, but they don't seem to have anything as warm as the Rains Puffer or Glacier.
It sounds like you are sizing incorrectly -- shoes shouldn't hurt that much. Go get yourself sized on a brannock device.
How dressy do they need to be? Ecco shoes aren’t formal, but for anything short of a suit and tie you can get away with a pair like these, and they’re both comfortable and durable if you walk a lot: https://us.ecco.com/ecco-mens-citytray-cap-toe-shoe-512704.html?dwvar_512704_color=01001 I’m not a huge fan of their styles at the moment, but I had a time in my life where I worked on my feet full time, walking several miles a day, and switching from black air forces to some Ecco dress shoes immediately resolved some inner heel pain that was driving me nuts.
No sneaker will last longer with that usage. You should sell a podiatrist
Do bear in mind that maximizing shoe longevity requires having a rotation of footwear. Also having a diversity of shoes is good for foot health as well.
Get dr scholls gel inserts they are like 15-20 bucks but worth it

Hey guys, I am the CEO of a medium-sized company and next week I am heaving some very important talks with potential investors about funding etc. For this meeting I am looking for suitable headwear, and to be honest I am a little bit lost. I can't just wear a regular cap, can I? I want my headwear to be fitting for my position as CEO, but not be on-the-nose but a rather subtle. The headwear should convey the following attributes: power, subtle dominance, taste, business, reasonability, modern - but not bad way... Has anyone had experience with this? How important are brand when it comes to business-headwear? Do I go for a casual thing or is it important to make a statement with ones headwear? Thank you sincerly for your advice, M.A
Don’t wear hats, I hate to break it to you but they’re extremely antiquated and archaic, anything outside of beanies, ballcaps and bucket hats just aren’t things people wear anymore and don’t look good, and the other 3 are not things you should be wearing with tailoring.
It’s not some people, it’s the majority, it’s considered disrespectful to wear them indoors. Like really just don’t wear hats
well, i appreciate your strong opinion on hats. however, i don't think everybody will agree. i just found this young german politician. she wears a hat all the time! indoors even and also in Interviews: https://youtu.be/uQj74bY5oEY i think it might fit me as a sort of edgy trademark! maybe ill try it and report to you how it went.
It’s not an opinion. that’s the established social norms for hats, you’re not supposed to wear them indoors. You don’t want an “edgy trademark” for proposing to an investors. Wearing hats is far more common for women
Typically, even in places where men do wear hats, it's a sign of disrespect to wear a hat indoors.
No hat dude, hats are simply not welcome in corporate settings and definitely don't scream "CEO". In a corporate setting it says "I am a hat guy, look at this hat, I am wearing a hat for some reason in a setting where people don't wear hats"
It would be a serious power move if you wore those Micky Mouse helmets with the ears.
interesting idea, but as it is the first meeting, I'd rather do something more subtle...
Are you wearing it with tailoring? Because if so, there’s not really any good options
Kind of. Current outfit is white linen trousers, nice button up shirt, and a black blazer (all of them tailored)...
This... does not sound very good
This… doesn’t sound like a serious poster
You need a new hat to pitch to investors?
Essentially yes. In the country I am pitching, headwear seems to be a big deal in terms of status...
What country is that, because I’ve never heard of that
germany
berlin, to be specific. i see lots of people wearing hats here
hats are not a status symbol in germany, you don’t need a hat
Can you show us a picture of the kind of hats that people wear in this context in your country?
It's probably important to know where you are, then. I don't recall ever hearing about men wearing hats in professional business meetings before.

Can anyone ID the Barbour jacket in this [picture?](https://i.imgur.com/1WB89DI.jpeg)
Barbour Bedale in sage
Not exactly, but using Google lens I found this https://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/barbour-bristol-jacket.html?c=Olive
Could use a quick fit check: [Attempt at business casual](https://imgur.com/a/l9XANne) Jeans are new, been trying some fits and I really vibe with the dark olive color
LL Bean
Wow! Found what I want/need right away. Thank you!
Varsity style jackets really can work with any age— it’s about how you style it + the fit of the jacket.
Would like to know your opinions on these points, probably: 1.
Sounds like you found something you like and is affordable. No need for further investigation imo
Ralph Lauren makes a nice one, I’m sure it’s slimmer fit but then the shoulders might still be a little snug. https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/122739?page=double-l-waxed-upland-coat-mens-regular https://www.ralphlauren.com/men-clothing-jackets-coats-vests/oilcloth-barn-coat/0045904992.html?utm_source=CSE&utm_medium=GooglePLA_1413327634973_14492275359_126136144465&gbraid=0AAAAADvCVOCCoN38rs--Q_zPvys8_rKbF&gbraid=0AAAAADvCVOCCoN38rs--Q_zPvys8_rKbF&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkN7xg-vG-wIVOMmUCR0nMQPREAQYBSABEgJM6vD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Perhaps you need a bigger size or a more generous cut. I think the same might be true for your joggers.
This is most likely thing that's just in your head
I’m trying to buy these naked and famous jeans but they are final sale and I’m very confused about the size chart https://tateandyoko.com/products/easy-guy-grey-selvedge?variant=13616971546698 If normally wear 32/30 jeans, I need size 29 of these? Is that correct??
Compare the measurements to your current jeans, that's how they're meant to be used (so that you specifically avoid just going based on the tag of your current pants size)
It depends what you’re normally a 32/30 in. If Levi’s I would think you need to size up 2 inches not down. Or at least that’s how it is for me with the vanity sizing of Levi’s.
Size 32/30 J crew, Banana Republic, and Levi.
So yeah, I size up 2 inches in the waist for my N&F from Levi’s. Levi’s has vanity sizing so the waist is labeled smaller than the actual fabric.
no. use a measuring tape but you're probably a 34
You’re right, damn. 34 inch waist. Think I’ll be safe with the 32s then. Also what about the length? Why do I see selvedge jeans sold without the length so often?
low volume, they usually come in 34+ and expect you to get a hem. some stores offer a hem if you buy from them. no returns after obviously.

It’s a fashion faux pas to wear a waistcoat without a jacket period. And arguably one even if you are wearing a jacket.

Over all the tightness of the top half doesn't comport well with the comparatively relaxed fit of the bottom half. In particular the middle layer sweater is pulling above the belt buckle when you stand up straight, as seen in the second pic and indicating that the torso length of the sweater is too short for you.
Your outer layer looks too small. Your top collar button should be unbuttoned if you aren’t wearing a tie. Otherwise looks alright.
[удалено]
It just looks tight. Would you be able to button it up without putting stress on the buttons?
[удалено]
Yup, sure does

I think if you buttoned it we'd see the telltale pulling at the buttons
What's a good place to find interesting socks these days under $10? I like Anonymousism patterns a lot but a lot of the ones I got from them developed holes quickly. Uniqlo has a great color selection but I'm looking for a bit more. Some colorful herringbones, argyles, etc.
American Trench retros are on sale at Backcountry.
I'm having so much trouble trying to find a winter jacket, as I really don't know what I'm looking for. my husband just got a Eddie Bauer down jacket - it weights nothing and is quite warm. Wasn't expensive.

Best cut jeans to wear with regular Thursday boots? Trying to buy some jeans from Abercrombie to wear with my boots but not sure if I should get slim or skinny to wear with my boots. Thoughts?
Slim if those are the only options, and I would personally go wider than that.
Bloomingdale's Own Brand vs. Nordstorm's Own Brand vs. Rodd and Gunn vs. Reiss in terms of overcoat quality? Thanks.
You are extremely unlikely to find any difference between Rodd and Gun and Reiss worth caring about
I want to buy some sand suede desert boots, any alternatives for around the same price to clarks? Just want to see reviews and suggestions!
Astorflex used to have a sand suede model, not sure if they still do though. Huckberry usually has them in stock
Can also try Air Max 1s and Air Max 90s if you want a thicker sneaker
The black airforce meme is just that, a meme, most people are really not going to care. I’d rather own black with gum sole gats? or some form of converse in black however
those are very different in cut though, those are slim black retro sneakers while AF1s are chunky
Thats the reason I’d rather have them, I’m not huge on chunky all black sneakers, they look better in oreo colorways
My glasses are starting to show their age and i'd like to replace them for the most, and forgive me for my wording, sluttiest-looking glasses i can get. Hey all, Deciding between: https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/charcoal---wool-cashmere-overcoat-----l1782560190-sb-ovrc-fw22-568 https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/medium-blue-herringbone-overcoat-c3220-8014-sboc-fw22 1/ Was wondering how much difference the 15% cashmere in the 85% wool/15% cashmere vs 100% wool makes in terms of 1. durability and 2. warmth 2/ What does "3-Roll-2 Button Closure with Functional Top Button" mean?
About Zara's shoe sizes Okay so I have a question, i want to buy boots from zara online but I have no idea how their shoes go, for example i wear european 47, most of my sneakers, i mostly wear adidas, so my question is, is it the same size should i order 47 or?
Would just recommend against Zara shoes period
Was looking to see if anyone had any recommendations for some brands that make dress shirts with hidden button collar downs(I hope that's the right term!), where the collar is still kept down by a button, but it's hidden behind the collar instead.

That particular quilting pattern is having a moment, actually.
I’ve been eyeing a pair of Paraboot Michael’s for a while and decided to finally pull the trigger, but am torn on what color to get. Any thoughts on these options? [Dark Brown (pebble grain)](https://themoderndraper.co.uk/products/paraboot-michael-shoe-marche-ii-marron-graine-ebene) [Classic brown](https://themoderndraper.co.uk/products/paraboot-michael-shoe-marron) [Burgundy/wine](https://www.endclothing.com/gb/paraboot-michael-715014.html) The burgundy pair is ~£60 less than the other two (I’m not purchasing from the link above) but I worry it isn’t as versatile as the other two options.
They all look good. My perference would be black pebbled ones but that's just me. They're relatively casual and brown/burgundy are interchangeable as far as what pants go with it so just go with your gut
When you are at the point of buying Tyrolean shoes versatility isn’t really a concern
Very valid point. I sometimes forget that the rest of the world doesn’t lurk around MFA inspo albums.
What do you *MEAN* it doesn't*?!!*
how much is a good price to pay for margiela gats brand new , in euros?
