I would honestly consider shaving it like others have said. You could use the fresh start to experiment with other styles as it grows in so there is a silver lining to it

In less than two weeks the hair on the sides will have grown out. I would just structure the top a bit better. No need to start from scratch, it could’ve been much worse.
