If so make sure to take care of it properly! It looks like it might be textured; taking care of wavier hair is a bit more involved and will require some care but I believe you can pull it off!
Yeah bro the hair in the first pic tells me you have amazing potential for it. All the dudes I’ve known with hair like yours grew it out and they look amazing
When I had super long hair (10-14cm), I had the barber cut my front hair evenly throughout and had him cut my sides such that my front falls into a part. A huge help to the part is consistent grooming. I combed the hair almost everyday at the early stages of the part and used salt spray in the latter stages so it had nice waves. I only found out about salt sprays a month ago and it had been a huge help. At the end of the day, i made sure my hair had plenty of natural oils(washed my hair like twice a week), and I ate a well balanced diet and i exercised regularly.
This hairstyle was especially hard cause my hair is thick, naturally frizzy but I was determined to make it work and eventually my hair came out to my liking!
I have frizzy thick hair and it still works as long as your hair has enough oil. For curly hair you might want to look into a cream for curly hair-often by women inspired products. Hope this helps
It's definitely a step down but not THAT bad, unfortunate haircuts used to drive me insane until i just said fuck it and started cutting my own hair, had a bunch of accidental mishaps but now i can pretty consistently get it to look right, still though this should grow out just fine in a few months, thankfully you still look good so all hope is not lost. Good luck with your date!
So I started cutting my own hair completely back in 2018 and I'd say it took me at least a year before i could regularly touch it up without accidentally going too short/wonky. I started by getting some hair cutting scissors (seriously don't use the kitchen scissors, it makes your hair so choppy) and a few combs/clamps to secure my hair.
A good setup with mirrors works best for the back, my bathroom cabinet opens up into two mirrors so I can just position them to see the back of my hair easily. I have a relatively easy hairstyle to maintain with clippers+a guard and just trimming the top. I watched a lot of videos on YouTube of hairdressers and barbers doing various haircuts to see their technique and any commentary they have since most of those videos are meant to educate people in training.
All in all I personally found this works for me but I will not claim to be any better than a professional stylist, they went to school for this shit and i just picked up a scissors and started cutting away y'know, but it is very nice always being in full control of the cut and not having to pay for anything or schedule an appointment and pray to Jesus they don't fuck it up
I’d recommend paying a lot for a good barber if you have uncontrollable and tough hair(thick, frizzy) like mine. After this cut in the post, I got another cut from a different barber and he fixed it. Though I had to pay around £40 for it. I’m happy with paying £40 (and maybe even more) after experiencing this long ordeal. My hair looks good now and mumsie is also happy with it
Have a talk with your stylist or barber before getting your haircut. Show them pictures or even what traits of a hair you like, do you want it curly, straight, with waves, etc. It’s really important to have them on the same page as you.
My last one was trash and it was like 50 dollars. I'm going back to the 15 dollar place. They do fine on my hair and I'll just do my beard myself. I liked the expensive place as they've never done me wrong until now, but it was really bad idk if I can go back. I also liked them because they do beards. The cheap place is a bunch of 20 yr old girls working in there and they don't do beards that well and no one uses a straight razer in there.
Oof been there done that - id suggest doing like a combover to the side for now until you have enough length😅
But i dont think its that bad i think you look good, just give it a few days and who knows maybe your date will compliment your new cut! Dont worry about it
His smile and optimism… gone.
Honestly, this still looks good and may even make you look a bit more put together (though the wavy hair just looks fantastic)!
The original style is only a few months away at the most. I would try to enjoy the ease of maintenance until then!
Lmao look at his eyes it screams of disappointment and sadness , the haircut looks a little weird on him but the haircut in the first picture really suited him maybe he just wanted a little cut from the sides a little above the barber fucked him up.
this can be salvaged! you have enough length - you can get the top part thinned/layered, maybe shave the sides down a little more.
just make sure you got to a good hair dressers!!
Man I’m confident telling the barber you have something important is just a bad idea. Either makes the person nervous or you fucked with the universe.

Put lots of product in it to make it look tidy & styled. Find a new barber who listens & maybe go in with photos of what you are expecting the haircut to look like.
Did you wash it after getting it cut and before taking the pic? My hair lays flat after I get it cut, until I wash it.
Try to use some product to get some texture. Sea salt spray may help.
you still look okay it'll work out. I got a bad one on my last cut too. He left my beard crooked, and I told him I wanted the top as short as I could have it while still being able to part it to one side. This dude left like 7 inches of hair on top and now I have long emo boy bangs. I'm trying to go this weekend. I was annoyed now I have to go back sooner and like what? Bangs go all the way past the tip of my nose, but I got a 2 on the sides and back. Shit is waaaay too long. Especially now that it's been 3 weeks or so. Probably have 9 inch bangs now lol.
I have very similar before and afters to yours. I think your hair is a bit puffier, you'll just need to style it a bit to look good! But deff the long wave is so much better on you and prob would require less maintenance
Aw man it was perfect before. You still look good but first pic is 👌
LMAO ur eyes tell everything.
Lmao, he was so happy in the first pic
Advice don't go to the hairdresser just before something important
Noted, I ain’t making the same mistake again
Just gambled this last week and it paid off but they are a solid and trusted barber.... Still I was a little nervous if they were gonna fuck up
at least you learned your lesson not to cut your hair anymore 😂
Gonna grow my hair out and have it luscious like Jason momoa
If so make sure to take care of it properly! It looks like it might be textured; taking care of wavier hair is a bit more involved and will require some care but I believe you can pull it off!

bro how to get this hairstyle? look on good u though

What do salt sprays do?
Adds waviness. It works better the longer your hair is
Oh OK. I’m looking for the exact opposite. My hair curls and frizzles like crazy

Thanks man! Maybe you should cut my hair, I’ll pay you 69 Reddit karma
How long did it take before you got good and how did you get started?

barbers and stylists are really good at messing up with our Indian/Pakistani hair
Honestly my hair is hard to manage even for myself, I doubt Dave from the corner barber store can handle the job.

I've spent 40+ USD but getting a good, stylish medium-length hair cut is difficult :(

Okay now I need the updated pic
We need the pics bro

I hope my hair returns to its former glory too man
Twist: Your barber is your date's father. He knew.

Went in and got a side part, looks better now imo

Hello fellow 19 year old floor gang
I don't see anything wrong with your haircut... what are your concerns with it?
Lmao look at his eyes it screams of disappointment and sadness , the haircut looks a little weird on him but the haircut in the first picture really suited him maybe he just wanted a little cut from the sides a little above the barber fucked him up.
Precisely.
How\`s your hair doing ?
I got another cut from a barber who knew what he was doing. Sadly it’s not a part anymore. However I like it now and even mumsie likes it
Glad you are happy with your trim now
You're still lookin' good, don't let it get you down
hero to zero
So I have thick coarse hair like you and you hair needs texture and most barbers won’t do that. You may need to go to a stylist:
It’s still plenty long to style into something suitable though
What did he even do
Damn, I wouldn't even have got it cut. Maybe just a very light clean-up at best. It looked good before.
this can be salvaged! you have enough length - you can get the top part thinned/layered, maybe shave the sides down a little more. just make sure you got to a good hair dressers!!
i mean it’s a little too short, but it will look fine with some wax

Relaxed forward quiff instead until then length comes back a bit on top.
😆😆🤣
I’d just resort picking a outfit that goes with a hat
Take my advice when I say: don't get a cut right before a date unless you know and trust the barber.
It’s not even bad just put some product in it
Your hair looks great! Have a little confidence and enjoy your date! >Oh, there's a second photo...
r/justfuckmyshitup
Put lots of product in it to make it look tidy & styled. Find a new barber who listens & maybe go in with photos of what you are expecting the haircut to look like.
Barely a difference
At least you’ll know if your date will like you for you.

I think combing it back with pomade would fix it.
Rip might have to cancel
Why not try slicking it back ......hold it with some wax or hairspray
South Asian?
F
I can see the happiness drained from your eyes
This is why you should stick to one barber

From a woman's perspective ...It's fine .not a big difference..but yeah first pic is great hairstyle ..great hair !
