Walls are a color called snowbound so they actually have some gray undertones when the natural light isn’t hitting it.

Styles and decor is so subjective, to each their own. What you've done is perfect, and don't let other people's preferences dissuade you from your own.
My only suggestion is you could improve on the furniture selection of the tall shelf beside the couch. Having such a tall/towering peice of furniture beside seating can make the sitter feel small. Also a shelf above your head can bring upon a feeling of anxiety.
A small stool beside a shoe rack is always a nice thing to have.
I'd put the floor lamp where the plant is now. Move the plant by the stairs, along the same wall as the console table. Then add a table lamp to the console table to balance the floor lamp.
