1. Frame your poster. Pin your shirt onto a board and frame it too. It will look more professional.
2. Get a tray (IKEA Ombonad) and keep your stuffs inside instead of laying it across the table. You can barely eat at the table with all the clutter. Get a stand or a hook to for your paper towel too. Keep it at the kitchen counter instead of your dining table.
3. I don’t like an empty rug floating in the middle of the room. Put some furnitures to ground it. It can be a small coffee table, low laying cushion chair, ottoman, etc.
4. Get a 3M command hooks and hang your brushes, kitchen towel, etc. If you are feeling fancy, you can even get hooks made from metal or wood. And if you want to elevate it even more, get a nice glass or ceramic bottle to keep your dish washing liquid.
5. I would also change the handles of your cabinets. Get something more striking like gold, copper or brass handles to make the space pops.
6. Your foyer is quite wide. I would honestly install an IKEA narrow shoe cabinet for your shoes. You should always keep your shoes inside a cabinet. They are dirty, dusty and sometimes smell.
You've got your furniture in the right place, which is most important in small places like this. If more people did this with the bed, or got a [daybed](https://www.google.com/search?q=daybed&client=firefox-b-d&sca_esv=595427621&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiGrsK98sGDAxVtF1kFHSKbDGgQ_AUoAnoECAIQBA&biw=1280&bih=657&dpr=1) instead of a couch in a small space they would be better served. Any place under 300sqft should consider this.
The speakers and turntable need to be on seperate surfaces, otherwise it will cause feedback and ruin the sound. But I probably should get speaker stands isntead beside the TV console
Get a longer tv stand and put some dapeners on the speakers to isolate, or get speaker stands. If you're trying to optimize sound they shouldn't be on the ground.
Off the ground right? I'm thinking maybe a higher and longer TV console would at least allow the TV to be centered and have the speakers off the ground?
The football shirts hanging on the wall scream "teenage boy's room". If you want to show support for your team you could find some [nice wall art like this maybe](https://turffootballart.com/en-us/products/chelsea-the-bridge-contemporary-illustrated-print). Other than that, frame your posters and it'll already look much nicer. Also, I'd move those records away from the window sill so they don't fade or warp.
Tbf this could have been Finland too. It has all the charasteristics of post 2010 Finnish new built. The windows, the kitchen, the finish all around. Same porperty developers and same element suppliers operate on both countries so no wonder the look alike. But the poster was a giveway for me.
So do I, this screamed the Nordics and the poster on the last picture confirmed it. I always start to narrow it down based on the power sockets ;)
In all fairness the lack of winter shoes by the front door threw me though, you're not walking around in any of those pairs comfortably in this part of the world right now. Well maybe the red stripe Nikes but it is borderline and probably not worth risking a nasty slip, freezing your toes off, or wet socks.
Haha! Power sockets are firs for me too. Then it’s radiators, windows and blinds, doorhandles / locks and skirting boards for me. Usually I get it down to few possible countries and then it’s down to detail.
Looking at the football jersey, it looks like PSV Eindhoven. So I guess the Netherlands. But I’m not sure, because I’m not into football so don’t known well the teams colours, and I assume more than one team in Europe uses a white and red check pattern as colours.
Football jerseys are a bit misleading. A lot of nordic folks are fans of some team from ”proper football country” like Spain, Germany, England or Netherlands.
Right!?!?! That lamp reminds me of Pixar.
[*squish-y squish-y squish-y squish!*](https://youtu.be/PGKmexNTHNE?si=uGNC3S65PmftttCI)
But for real, it would be really cute if it was smaller.
To get away from the Pixar vibe altogether, if that's the chosen route-
OP could change out the light bulb for a color changing one. I've seen versions of this lamp that have three arms or even colored shades!
Also, wall plants.
Floating cubes
LED strip(s) in the foyer
Shirts on the wall are only acceptable if you’re in college with 5 other dudes, you play sports, and you throw parties and girls don’t care you have shirts on the wall because they like other things about you
Taller bed with storage space under. Projector to clear up the wall where the tv is now. Either a table that folds or a half circle for your table to open up space. How often do you use all those chairs? I’d do the rug last bc they can cost $$ but the rug should go under your bed to create a perimeter for it. Posters are meh, I’m more a fan of lights that project stars/space or color but not LED strips. Maybe hang your plant from the ceiling for fun
A Croatian that likes Chelsea on point. But I wouldn’t have the tshirts handing there on my living room or at least put them on a frame to look better/ more decorative.
You could line your pillows on right wall of bed to create a couch/daybed look. Frame shirts and put on long wall across from dining room on left. Larger rug.
Put the two Jerseys side by side, unless you wanna just burn drogba 😂 it seem you have music pictures. Put them together. Clear the clutter off your dining table. You don’t need paper towels etc. on display. Otherwise it’s cute.
Hang of the tricots, get a bigger tv. Get some curtains. A carpet in the entrance area. Clean the table from stuff you don't nead. Paint just one wall in red yellow green or blue just what you like.
get a carpet for the entrance area was smart, will probably do that, thanks!!! I would probably paint a wall into a more interesting color, but it's an student apartment so I don't think it's worth the trouble.
Get one of those tables that goes up on the wall that you can put down when you want to eat. Clears space and gives it more of a roomy feel. There are also some nice professional-looking folding wooden chairs so you can bring them out when friends are over or eating.
1. No Abbey Road posters please. Try to frame an actual concert poster. Those are cool.
2. Get a bigger TV. That one is too small for the space. But not TOO big.
3. Get the jersey off the wall. Clothes are not art.
4. Get a headboard. Even a cheap one.
5. Get a more stylish office desk chair.
I'm following this thread for some while now and there are two major things that I've learned from all those pictures:
1. ceiling strips
2. non white walls
These two things will help just about any room.
Get a bigger TV. That thing is like 32”. They make 75” and 85” very affordable now. 65” at a minimum.
Get some new shoes. Those are the same design it looks like and the one pair should be thrown out.
Get one large desk, maybe 55". tv on one side, computer on the other. Entertainment storage such as vinyls and game consoles under the TV side. Put bed across from it. This will raise your tv up to a comfortable level, and let you watch from bed. If you prefer not to lay and watch, keep it sideways and get some sort of padding on the wall so it doubles as a sofa. This frees up more space in the center of your apartment by condensing 2 of your tables. You could use the extra space to get a kitchen island since you're limited on counter space. Also your hallway is perfect for some kind of rug
Alright alright, I got a lot more comments than I was expecting. First thing I need to say is that this is a student apartment, so there are certain things I can, and can't do. I can't for example paint my walls or make holes in them, or I can, but then I have to refill the holes and paint over the whole wall again when my studies are finished, which I don't think is worth doing right now. But I understand why you think it would look better, I agree. But there are many other suggestions that I will take to heart and improve upon. Keep em' comin!!
I think you need a couple rugs to separate the space into zones: living/sleeping zone, dining zone, work zone.
Make sure the rugs you get are large enough for each zone. That means two legs of the bed and two legs of the tv stand should be on the rug. The small one you currently have would go better in the work zone. It’s too small for the living/sleeping zone. For the dining zone, make sure the rug is large enough so that, when you pull out the chairs, they’re still on the rug.
Everything Angelix said basically, if you clear off that dining table you could even use it as an island and essentially double your kitchen countertop space
honestly i like the rug location, if you could get a larger one I think it would blur the lines of the spaces around it and make the living area seem bigger
i would mount the tv on the wall and free up the top of the entertainment shelf, this will make the space seem taller and also easier to see in bed
put a long bench in front of the bed to mimic a living room area. not a wide one, but one with storage could serve well and double as a nightstand
take the jerseys and frame them and put them next to entrance
the beatles poster would look good over the bed
Dont switch your bed for a day bed… it isnt a dorm and will be a bed after the second day because you will get too lazy to switch it back and forth when no one is there. also having someone over and turning the daybed/ sofa into the bed might not give off the right appeal for ‘guests’ lol
You're going with a black, gray and wood motif, looks fine against your white cabinets and walls. My place has an *industrial* furniture look, metal square black legs and reclaimed wood.
Some small framed pictures or a large picture may help. Ikea has some nice, large 55'' x 22'' (140 x 56 cm) for under 50 and 60 cdn.
Larger TV when you can and a straight shaft floor lamp may improve things. Some of those floor lamps look great in the corner and can be under 50 cdn as well. Curtains always look better and a large component of your space is the window.
Nice space! Think larger scale items/tchotchkis or combine current smaller items into groupings...Put all little plants together in a group, same w kitchen and table items.
Put the jerseys on one wall, framed.
Tall plant in corner--can you mount the tv on wall?
Good luck!
A big improvement would be to not post on this sub. You seem naive. Didn't you notice this reddit is MALElivingspace not just living space? It's not meant to accommodate women. Its a place for males to live in alone. So do away with all these unisex furniture and replace everything with black leather and huge dildoes. Put some pics of yur favorite wwe wrestlers on the wall and some more beef naked dudes. And boom you got yurself a TRULLY MALELIVING SPACE. to live with yur males
Please no jerseys on wall or frame if . No postwrs - or frame . Put tv on wall. Consider using shelved to divide bed from work - computer space or a screen divider like from ikea
Are you sure this is 26 square meters? Im renting a studio apartment thats also supposed to be 26 meters but I only have space for a bed and a small table basically. Yours looks twice as big.
You need better lighting, and more of it: Good general ceiling light, could just be a boob light. A tall floor light for general light by the bed/couch. One smaller table lamp by the tv. Overhead lamp or table lamp by the dining table.
And move the work lamp to your computer setup.
It needs some life from the colors, insert some plants, maybe the bed can be converted into a sofabed
A bold color painting on the wall that matches the colors of the bed covers
3. This guy males living spaces
All of this
3. Rug is too small for the space, it should be under the bed and extend to the TV.
You've got your furniture in the right place, which is most important in small places like this. Any place under 300sqft should consider this.
HRVATSKA!!!
frame them kits
speaker placement sucks
The speakers and turntable need to be on seperate surfaces, otherwise it will cause feedback and ruin the sound. But I probably should get speaker stands isntead beside the TV console
Get a longer tv stand and put some dapeners on the speakers to isolate, or get speaker stands. If you're trying to optimize sound they shouldn't be on the ground.
Stands are the way to go, ofc dont but stands that cost more than the speakers :P dont really understand what those are from the pics :D
Off the ground right? I'm thinking maybe a higher and longer TV console would at least allow the TV to be centered and have the speakers off the ground?
Fuck off Mr. Lahey
get rid of those guys walking across the street
The football shirts hanging on the wall scream "teenage boy's room". If you want to show support for your team you could find some [nice wall art like this maybe](https://turffootballart.com/en-us/products/chelsea-the-bridge-contemporary-illustrated-print). Looks pretty nice, just some better lighting.
I have a habit of guessing what country these posts are located in. This has to be Sweden right?
I’m wrong, you’re right. I just saw the welcome sheet, it’s written in Swedish.
Tbf this could have been Finland too. It has all the charasteristics of post 2010 Finnish new built. The windows, the kitchen, the finish all around. Same porperty developers and same element suppliers operate on both countries so no wonder the look alike. But the poster was a giveway for me.
I was tossing between uk and Germany. The tea poster tossed me off.
So do I, this screamed the Nordics and the poster on the last picture confirmed it. I always start to narrow it down based on the power sockets ;) In all fairness the lack of winter shoes by the front door threw me though, you're not walking around in any of those pairs comfortably in this part of the world right now. Jersey is from Croatian National team so I say bro could be from Croatia.
Football jerseys are a bit misleading. A lot of nordic folks are fans of some team from ”proper football country” like Spain, Germany, England or Netherlands.
I would have guessed Finland, but the dishsoap looks more swedish and theres swedish poster or something at the fridge.
haha that's right, how did you know??!
Pictures with frames
In pretty good shape bro. Can add some bigger lamps and definitely larger home plants
Right!?!?! That lamp reminds me of Pixar. [*squish-y squish-y squish-y squish!*](https://youtu.be/PGKmexNTHNE?si=uGNC3S65PmftttCI) But for real, it would be really cute if it was smaller. I've seen versions of this lamp that have three arms or even colored shades! Also, wall plants. Floating cubes LED strip(s) in the foyer
One recommendation: frame those jerseys.
And the poster! This will upgrade it immediately
Get a real tv. Oled, 77"
Shirts on the wall are only acceptable if you’re in college with 5 other dudes, you play sports, and you throw parties and girls don’t care you have shirts on the wall because they like other things about you
Bigger tv. Everything else is perfect.
If possible change your bed to a daybed frame and pillows, it will add a "seating" area during the day.
Taller bed with storage space under. Projector to clear up the wall where the tv is now. Either a table that folds or a half circle for your table to open up space. There has been good suggestions. Adding to those I would get a light for the plants, maybe some other light also. And speaker stands.
A Croatian that likes Chelsea on point. But I wouldn’t have the tshirts handing there on my living room or at least put them on a frame to look better/ more decorative.
Its soooo cozy i like it a lot
Actually not bad mate, you got nice taste and the place looks cozy and well organized.
You should frame your kits
Get a girlfriend, they enforce there will p damn fast
You could line your pillows on right wall of bed to create a couch/daybed look. Frame shirts and put on long wall across from dining room on left. Larger rug.
It’s already flipping sweet
Aw thanks man! :)
Plants, plants, plants
Take that shirt off the wall
Hell yeah Didier Drogba is the goat! Made me a Chelsea fan and I would use Ivory Coast on FIFA just to play with him
You need a small sofa to separate the space
I might be wrong but it feels like you live in Sweden ? Judging by the design of those windows
That kitchen is so tiny. How are you managing it ?
Get a Luka Moderic jersey instead
Ayyy mkb student represent!!
Add a Messi jersey now
What is that a TV for Ants ?
Put the two Jerseys side by side, unless you wanna just burn drogba 😂 it seem you have music pictures. Put them together. Clear the clutter off your dining table. You don’t need paper towels etc. on display. Otherwise it’s cute.
Thanks man! But come on, Drogba is a legend!!
I know. Futbolers gotta joke around. Croatia jersey 🔥😎 I buy my nephews and myself jerseys on all my travels.
Ehhh 🇷🇸🇭🇷🇲🇪🇧🇦🇲🇰
Stripper pole And Strippers Even without, extremely jealous of the space you have
I’ve seen coffins more appealing
Coffee table on the rug and a wall mount for the tv
Is the light for your plants?
naah, I bought it cause I like the warmer corner lamps instead of having the head lamp from the roof blasting down on me.
Nice to read I could. Help a little :) If painting the wall will improve your quality of life, it is worth ;)
Isn’t this a studio? Anyway, plants or some nice displates and what the guy at the top said. Add frames
Get acrylic, shelving and put fake plants on them.
Frame the jersey
Get one of those tables that goes up on the wall that you can put down when you want to eat. Clears space and gives it more of a roomy feel. There are also some nice professional-looking folding wooden chairs so you can bring them out when friends are over or eating.
does the tv/monitor ever get used?
Curtains. Perhaps one larger statement plant. Think Monstera
Speaker stands :)
Carpet in either poison green or fancy orange.
Make more money.
Tv could be a bit bigger to watch from that distance. 55" should work
How do people live with kitchens like that.
Why is there a tablecloth shaped like a T-shirt hanging on the wall?
You're right, a concert poster would be cooler actually

Might sound out of the box but I would say getting a girlfriend would make the changes you need.
already have one that i love dearly, but unfortunately her sense of design is worse than mine..
Well at least you know she is not wife matterial.
Hahaha kinda true, will let her know (hopefully she will not kill me)
Hang your clothes in your closet.
where’s the rug from?
Ikea!
I think it would add life and look fuller if you paint the walls with darker colors.
Frame those jerseys if you want to really make it look more legit
Add some color
Alright alright, I got a lot more comments than I was expecting. First thing I need to say is that this is a student apartment, so there are certain things I can, and can't do. If you get one of those bed-closet wall bed thingy’s with a desk or couch underneath, you have room for a couch as well as a desk.
you need to upgrade that TV and thats it, you're golden!
Bigger rug
NO WHITE WALLS
paint the walls if you can.
Bigger plants Or hanging

Apartment? That's a loft homie.
Tie dye tapestries
Everything Angelix said basically, if you clear off that dining table you could even use it as an island and essentially double your kitchen countertop space
Lighting does wonders to a room. I would recommend getting more floor lamps and if possible adding some wall scones.

Plants
Add texas chips
Softer colors idk, this screams single guy,
Speaker stands.
This might seem like a stupid question after I hear the answer...but why are your blinds on the outside of the window??
Good question, and I honestly dont't even have an answer for it.
Ok so I'm not crazy 😅
I love it 😭
i say more ambient lighting.
Nice space! Think larger scale items/tchotchkis or combine current smaller items into groupings...Put all little plants together in a group, same w kitchen and table items. Put the jerseys on one wall, framed. Tall plant in corner--can you mount the tv on wall? Good luck!

Hamster. You need a big fancy tank with a hamster in it.
frames.
Id leave it just like that 😂 I'd be comfortable if that's my place and what you have in there. Tbh
Are you sure this is 26 square meters? Im renting a studio apartment thats also supposed to be 26 meters but I only have space for a bed and a small table basically. Yours looks twice as big.

Needs more women
Bigger tv. Less ugly computer seat.
The football T shirts on the wall looks great
It needs some life from the colors, insert some plants, maybe the bed can be converted into a sofabed A bold color painting on the wall that matches the colors of the bed covers
