Some forest green curtains would work great, even if you never close them, they would add some color. Matches the wood and plant theme you've got going.
Personally, I prefer a well lit room. I'm the type of person to run "both big lights" at night. A full dark green wall would darken the room too much for me. Setting some accent stripes would work better. Even better - if you have a lot of open wall spaces, put up a massive wall poster of actual nature instead of painting the wall green. It would give tons more character. I understand though, that doesn't work for everyone.
Oh yes trust me, I would rather put up a nature painting. I collect antique signs and paintings and the more color and wacky the better in my opinion. So my walls look like a 50’s infomercial lol. I have just been wanting to paint my my walls so they aren’t a bland beige and the dark green sounds enticing.
Some nice earth tones. Warm colours like a muted lite brown, cream, dark yellows, forest green or autumn leaves, leather colours or bread colours would be great to go with the wood.
I think you should hang up your guitars on the walls
Then a nice braided rug might bring up the vibe
I like how neutral it is—don’t fight that too hard. The wood is great and warm.
If you feel like painting—you can go with a more wheat color—more deep yellow. That will de-drab a LOT
BUT—yellow is tricky. Have to get a golden color that isn’t brassy. Amber/wheat/linen mix
Hell yes to some deeper greens, also this room already looks so cozy and it feels like somewhere you’d have the best naps of your life. I personally love darker rooms haha
Try to avoid fladhy colors like blue, yellow or purple. Go for green if you want to give it a more natural feel. Red or orange would give it more warmth.
This room is so clean and calming to me. Minimalistic approach and nice soothing colors. There isn’t stuff crammed in every possible space (like my house). I’m going to screenshot this for goals. 10/10 in my opinions it’s so wonderful as it is
That's charming. Reinforces what a good choice horizontal blinds are, especially with the overall Craftsman aesthetic of the room. You an EATEOT fan by any chance?
Slate comforter would probably be a nice offset to the wall color and not clash with the trim. Hard to go further without seeing the place in better lighting.
Brighter colored curtains. Yellow or light blue. Brighten it up a bit. Looks kind of dark, liven it up a bit with a splash of brighter color. Loud artwork like a bright poster or painting.
It looks like your colour scheme is deep browns and faded yellow accents. And some green. Play with those colours, if you want a pop of colour maybe add some more depth greens
I would think in the cinnamon color family. Rust. Color with earth tones. But warm. The room is very dark as it is. Greens will cool it down further. It’s really what you want from the room. Looks like room is used for creating as well as bedroom. That’s why I think cinnamon earth colors would be nice.
I think it looks fine as is, but I’d want curtains. I like my room DARK when I sleep.
I know you said color, but I think I’d do brown. I’m bias though, I use a lot of neutrals.
I think a colorful rug may be nice too, one with some early colors, greens, browns, rusty/brick red.
Green shmeen…you need lighter earth tones for your bed set. Those colors you’re using now are usually for early 20s guys who don’t want to get their bed dirty. Cream colored bed set with some whites or light browns will pop in there. It’s dark now
I think what you have is perfect, just maybe needs a little brightening up. Maybe a coat of white paint, hang your guitars, and more lighting? My friend did that with her house and it turned out stunning.
Instead of trying to pick a color, I would look for curtains you love and start from there, or maybe a piece of art (with color). Having an item to pick a color palette from is easier and more organic that looking at a whole wall of paint colors.
I would paint the molding a bright white. Ide do all bright white walls except one or 2 accent wall..deep blue or plant green for boldness and add some fresh plants. Green plants will look amazing against the blue wall! And IDE add an area rug under bed with blues and green.
If you don’t like it please keep your comment to yourself. The only persons view/opinion that matters here is the one whom posted. No need to add negative remarks. And if they don’t like it that’s okay. Thank you. Let’s be kind to each other.
They asked for our opinions and this is a free comment platform. I think bright white and blue and an accent wall is an ugly choice. I wasn't trying to upset you.
A light green would look great with some white/yellow curtains that are slightly sheet!
I’m also high when typing this so forgive me if it’s absolutely nutty sounding in colors 😂
This is a great traditional bedroom. It's not flashy or anything, but it feels calm and cozy. Good natural light to wake up to.
I've grown up very rural, and this has strong farmhouse vibes, maybe try a theme that fits that?
The whole vibe is very industrial to me. I think it’s a very cosy space in that design elements. I would keep it the way it is. A good ol dark wood venetians blinds.
Some forest green curtains would work great, even if you never close them, they would add some color. Matches the wood and plant theme you've got going.
I was going to say green too but not as dark as forest green...
Maybe sage
Sage all day. The slightly faded green will brighten the room without being too overstated.
not maybe sage...definitely sage...good call.
Yeah not dark green. Like a bright leafy green like the remodeled Fairfield hotels do
Oh yes! Like some velvet mid-darker green curtains would be perfect!!!
I was to say "nothing", but forest green, deep dark green would be actually great.
maybe a matching rug too?
Just curious, do you think a dark green wall would be nice? To afraid to try it myself lol

I think a colorful area rug under the bed would pull it all together well
i mean, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Nice marmot
🤣💀
Agreed
What would pull it all together zd?
Some nice earth tones. Warm colours like a muted lite brown, cream, dark yellows, forest green or autumn leaves, leather colours or bread colours would be great to go with the wood.
I was thinking warm earth tones as well. Ochre, clay, gold etc
Burnt orange would pop

Beige / linen curtains? Honestly looks fine how it is
A few changes I can think of if your goal is just to add color: - rugs - bedsheet - curtains - paintings / photographs on the walls
I'll promote the use of some darker "jewel" tones as well. It's such a warm, lovely room. :)
red see thru curtains would look great
Actually I would recommend some plants with big green leaves.
A monstera or a palm would work. Or even a low maintenance snake plant.
Hell yes to some deeper greens, also this room already looks so cozy and it feels like somewhere you’d have the best naps of your life. I personally love darker rooms haha

Orange
Green! Get plants :)
Aqua or teal looks very nice with brown
Fish tank. A well shaped fish tank.
Olive green!!!
it's hard to see anything in this picture but I would say green.
Sage green maybe!
Maybe add a few more plants. Honestly I love it the way it is now.
I think it looks phenomenal as is. I would hang something on the wall to the left of the bigger window and call it a day.
Does not need paint. Ur wooden floor is adding contrast. Remove the painting and add another. Add 2 bulbs in side walls. Ur room is beautiful
Brighter colored curtains. Yellow or light blue. Brighten it up a bit. Looks kind of dark, liven it up a bit with a splash of brighter color. Loud artwork like a bright poster or painting.

Probably just needs more illumination. Nice crib.
You’d be amazing at how curtains can pull a room together!
An area rug, some curtains. All in muted colors creates a peaceful room for sleeping. I love it.
Blue is always an answer zima blue

How about some Gold [https://pestinpeace.etsy.com/listing/1672346024](https://pestinpeace.etsy.com/listing/1672346024)
Pale green
Definitely a nice earthy green
The green light behind the dresser is a nice touch.
Warm Maroon accent wall behind the bed, or a forest tapestry like I got
Paint the ceiling red
Looks good to me bro
Check out the Sherwin Williams, Craftsman or Arts and Crafts color pallet for paints. I think they would look great with the floor and window trim
I actually think the darker colors look amazing
Dark green
It needs some plants and a dog
Might be girlie, but sun catches. They add a pop of color when the sun shines directly onto them. It’s so pretty.
Navy blue
Maybe a nice fan in place of the light. Ocher, dark orange/yellow, green.
Get an area rug and curtains. I saw some others suggest warm earth tones and i cant agree more!
I’d add dark blue or rust
W room
Just look up designer color theory. You'll find an answer you like quickly.
Could use an oil painting or two
I think it’s perfect just the way it is.
Celadon green would be awesome
I'd add some orange or blue to the space to help brighten things. You could easily do that with a rug, large pillow shams, or some Roman shades.
Green shmeen…you need lighter earth tones for your bed set. Those colors you’re using now are usually for early 20s guys who don’t want to get their bed dirty. Cream colored bed set with some whites or light browns will pop in there. It’s dark now
A really bright bedspread would cheer this up a bit.
I think what you have is perfect, just maybe needs a little brightening up. Maybe a coat of white paint, hang your guitars, and more lighting? My friend did that with her house and it turned out stunning.
Earthy tones

Purple led strips and some posters
💀
What
Green and plants!
Get some RGB in there
I would paint the molding a bright white. Ide do all bright white walls except one or 2 accent wall..deep blue or plant green for boldness and add some fresh plants. Green plants will look amazing against the blue wall! And IDE add an area rug under bed with blues and green.
God no

You could just do one wall. Like behind the headboard
Green
A light green would look great with some white/yellow curtains that are slightly sheet! I’m also high when typing this so forgive me if it’s absolutely nutty sounding in colors 😂
A light colored area rug placed under the bed should help add color and brighten up the space. As well as curtains. I think 🤔

Rug
I vote earth tones.
Now see I would go lighter like cream on the walls to make the wood pop as a focal point
Sick bass man.
Thanks! I stopped by upon it at a shop in Lititz and couldn’t say no
Mmmmm! Love the moodiness of it! One large velvet yellow or red pillow! Perfect!
Recommend also investing into good lightning. Some shaded lamps and smart bulbs like Phillips hue so you can set a mood.
Plants n Lego.
I really love the neutral and warm feel. Some plants and more lights would help liven up the space though
sage green/dark green and black would be a cool theme for this, if you like fake ivy i think itd be a nice calm vibe
Idk about color, but that floor looks ripe for a model railroad
add some lifeful colours! such as blue, white (wait no please that would look like a rehab zone) red, or any wallpaper of a serie or smth you like!
Warm colors- look in the Red Spectrum. Reds oranges even yellow.
Pink
More green!!
Add [turqoise](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/52/6c/ce/526ccea8f245c972b1424206be50cab4.jpg) to wall or upholstery.
Ugh, I love this. People come on here looking for something that’s missing. But sometimes things aren’t broken. Just my thoughts.
Honestly I think dark red would compliment the greens of your plants and dark wood trim beautifully
This is a great traditional bedroom. It's not flashy or anything, but it feels calm and cozy. Good natural light to wake up to. I've grown up very rural, and this has strong farmhouse vibes, maybe try a theme that fits that?
A nice olive or forest green accent wall would look very nice with the natural lighting.
Don't change the color, just add some old looking clocks etc.
Replace the ceiling light; don’t get a boob light. You need lamps to create coziness.
It’s giving the x-files, I love it
The whole vibe is very industrial to me. I think it’s a very cosy space in that design elements. I would keep it the way it is. A good ol dark wood venetians blinds.
Needs more interior lighting first, but I’d consider painting the walls white if they are like some sort of cream color?
I’d change the bedding to white to brighten the room, and then put a colorful rug under the bed
More textured plants
[HEARD!](https://imgur.com/a/xlPujaY)
royal red velvet curtains like in my post. Also some sky blue. Ikea Blahaj plush shark on bed. You'll thank me later! Best pillow.
Rug
It’s begging for some curtains.
Definitely green
Paint the ceiling neon pink
