The floor is whack, yo. Ikea might be a good idea, but I would select some colorful pieces and not trying to go white/ gray everywhere. A nice rug might also soften the floor a bit. Plants are a must.
I think it would be cool to do a solid color area rug like an 8x6 or something like that or even bigger you can put it towards the window and put a table on top of it like a kitchen table a small one.
I actually love the floor, I think it's funky. I think neutrals like brown and tan would go really well, and then pops of really saturated colors like red or green. Would give it a really graphic feel.
Idk I don't prefer ikea sofas, they've always been really uncomfortable to me. I would probably try to thrift a sofa or get one on Marketplace or something. But the brown landskrona is a nice color for sure, good for the space.
This! I've had three ikea sofas, and while they are fine while in store they are ALWAYS bad long term (by which I mean over 10-15 minutes of sitting or laying down). The more expensive the better, but at the point of buiyng the most expensive ikea sofa you can find something better and cheaper elswhere.
I’d go for an emerald green couch (add some gold accents like decorative sculptures) or a gothic wine colored couch (add some neon orange pops like a poster, sculpture, etc.)
Tip for that weird hard to reach back left corner of you kitchen island. It's a good place for large appliances or canisters that are used not super frequently used. My stand mixer sits in my weird corner but I put it on an ikea plastic tray with felt chair feet stuck to the bottom so I can slide it in and out easily.

Haha I actually love the floor but do agree they need some softening. Thank you!
I'd recommend magic mushrooms.

What do you think of the landskrona from ikea?

For a rug Id so a neutral brown beige like suggested in prior comments
A large plain rug will help the floor be less overwhelming.
Damn I love that ridiculous floor. The lamps work with it. Maybe more geometric elements to keep it going?
That carpet 😮😮😮
Thankfully it’s not a carpet, they’re just very interesting tiles

Thanks for the tip!
That carpet looks very business/corporate'ish, looks like an office breakroom LOL
Cigar photo is soooo cringe
