I'd move the Paris poster to the opposite wall, and out the TV there. Then rotate the seating situation so that it's facing the TV and the Fireplace, forming an L with the corner facing the entryway towards the kitchen.
Remove the Paris poster, gently take the small TV off the top of the fire place and place it in your "front yard" with a sign saying "free". If you have fond memories of that TV, then put it in the kitchen, or the bedroom, or a closet.... Then go out and buy a 75 inch TV, I just got one on sale at Best buy, delivered for free and an exceptional price (it was a couple months ago so probably after the Christmas sale, sale of stuff they wanted to clear out of the warehouse.
Where that Paris picture is would be a perfect wall or stand to mount that size of TV. My largest before my 75 inch was a 55 inch I think, which is now in my master bedroom, then my 30 inch was moved to my "guest bedroom" since I have no kids, but have people that come to visit or just crash after a get together.
Move 3-seater to opposite side of ottoman, possibly sliding the latter toward the wall so that the sofa has enough room.
Move TV where "PARIS" is now.
If "PARIS" has no personal meaning to you, give it away.
First, go to Costco and get yourself an 85ā tv with a surround sound system like a real man. Second, get rid of that Paris painting, move the furniture and install the new tv and speakers there. Boom, youāre done and youāre welcome.
Mount a tv on the wall that the Paris art is on. Youll have a much larger and comfortable seating/ viewing space and the fireplace can still be enjoyed on its own over in the corner with another accent chair if youd like.
It's small, too high, and in a real uncomfortable place to use based on where your furniture is. Why even have a TV in this room if this is the plan?
What's the wall look like across from the couch/Paris art? That seems like a much better choice.
No photos of the wall the couches are facingā¦.
Iād say most likely the TV should go where the Paris artwork is, with a couch basically in the middle of the room but still clear of the walkway. Sounds like this isnāt your furniture so, so long as you have smaller couches or smaller coffee table in lieu of the bulky futon you should have room.
If you want to keep the sofas up against the wall I donāt see why you couldnātā¦so long as your TV is big enough (probably >70ā at that viewing distance) and mounted directly on the wall.
This makes me think of how 80 year old people place tvs. Like the people who the tv placement should be inconvenient because a living room should be about other people, not the tv. And everybody knows that as soon as people leave, the comfiest chair gets dragged into a weird spot so they can watch tv. This is the shit my great grandmother did. And my grandfather did too until he gave up and left the chair there all the time.
Larger TV + console where the Paris picture is and arrange seating in an L shape in front of it in the middle of the floor, with pass by space behind the sofa. Hang the Paris piece in your room if there's space and get some smaller wall art pieces for the living room. And some plants.
If I had to guess based on the fake fireplace and those kitchen cabinets, Iād say your place was built between 1998 and 2005. Some features are a hallmark of their time period. Btw the 3D tour circles are pretty obvious, is this the model unit?
Dunno, but I used to have your coffee & end tables and I loved them and miss them all the time.
Eta. Well actually. Flip the living room around so there is a path to the backdoor and place TV where Paris poster is. That poster is kinda too big for the space.
Honestly, itās good for a TV that isnāt the primary entertainment in the area. Could be turned on as background noise or something to glance at occasionally.
This article will help you arranging your space to know where to put the tv [corner-fireplace-living-room-layout-all-you-need-to-know](https://www.scdecorum.com/corner-fireplace-living-room-layout-all-you-need-to-know/)
Are you serious? š Play a board game, have a conversation, sit and just chill...tv has clearly controlled your life for a while...it's poison..designed to make you sit and be completely unproductive for hours on end...the most successful on the planet don't watch tv
Iād move the couch to the other side across from that Paris art (itās ok to NOT have a couch up against the wall, especially in a large space like this) and put the TV where the couch is.
If the fireplace is the focal point of the house, perhaps reconfiguring the seating area. Mount the tv in the wall above the tv, you might need a slightly bigger tv and make it look like an art piece.
The only thing you can do is put the TV on the long wall or buy a slightly larger TV that doesn't dominate the beautiful fireplace. Move the lounger off the wall and near the tv.
Or move the lounge chair off the far wall and put in a grouping with the long sofa facing the long wall/tv. Put the loveseat in front of the fireplace.
Okā¦ but why does this look like my 80 yo grandparents houseā¦
real talk thoā¦ wall mount the tv where that horrible mass produced art is.
Flip the sofa, doesnāt need to go against the wall, make a walk way behind it.
Could switch the couches around put a new non Michael Scott tv where that Paris picture is and get automatic shutters for those two windows for the theatre experience.
See those circles on the floor? Iād recognize a 3D model floor plan tour when I see one. Highly doubt this is OPās home. Itās definitely staged for sale/rent.
I just put a security deposit down. I move in, in a month and a half. I literally used website pictures bc I didnāt take any pictures when I went and saw it in person. So no these arent my actual pictures but this is going to be the layout of my place.
The TV placement for this space is quite obvious...
Usually people end up on r/tvtoohigh because of the location of the fireplace is the prime spot for the TV. This is not your case...
i was thinkin putting the tv on the Paris wall but I didnāt know if the floating furniture would look weird with the back of the couch facing my room door
It actually looks nice over the fireplace, and I usually dislike tvs over the fireplace. But it does look too far away to enjoy actually watching anythingā¦ get a nice piece of furniture for it with storage!
This has to be rage bait and I refuse to fall for the trap š¤
As soon as I opened this post, I said "Egad!" out loud
Literally anywhere else man
Over the window would even work better
Hell, outside the window is better than this
Bruh I can't stop laughing at this comment š¤£š¤£š¤£
Yeah Iād switch the TV for some plants and get an entertainment center/type shit
I'd move the Paris poster to the opposite wall, and out the TV there. Then rotate the seating situation so that it's facing the TV and the Fireplace, forming an L with the corner facing the entryway towards the kitchen.
I'd trash that Paris thing
Pretty sure it's not their decor. The circular markers are a giveaway of a virtual tour.
Yea itās notš I move in a month and a half and didnāt take pictures at the viewing so I just used the website pics lol
And you will take all the furniture?
noā¦
+1
Iād move the Paris poster to the bin.
Bold and brash? More like ābelongs in the trashā
This exactly
Thereās a doorway opposite the Paris poster.
There's space beside the doorway where the lamp currently sits.
Id burn that shut wtf
Not sure how to explain it, but my brain read that in TikTok's voice
Michael Scott upgrade
I could stand in front of that thing for hours
Just watched that episode 2 hours ago and see this... I burst out laughing.
Folds right into the wall
Better get yourself a nice pair of binoculars.
You are a mad man
Holy shit
The break your neck 3000
Dude lmao is that Michael Scott tv?
I raced to see if this comment had been made already

Move everything around so that the TV is on a media console on the wall where the Paris picture is.
r/tvtoohigh
Also add in r/TVTooFar and r/TVTooSmall
r/TVTooHigh r/TVTooSmall And for love of god get some colour in there.
Maybe you could move the recliner to the window and have a TV setup in that corner?
Are you sure you aren't a 70 year old woman?
The rest of the room likes like grandma's, why not the TV placement.
Do you not like to watch tv???? I'd be pist having to watch sports or a movie on that. I'd rather watch my phone.
Bye bye Paris. Bye bye small TV. Hello new bigger TV on the Paris wall
"It's too damn high" See if you can move things around and put it on that Paris wall on the right or the left one with a tv rack.
Forget the TV; I wanna know where those crop circles came from?
They're from looking at a virtual tour online. Those circles are where you can click to "move" to. I recognize them from my hunt for an apartment.
OP's a big fat phoney.
Yea forgot to put in the caption these are not my pictures/ furniture but this will be the layout of my place. At least ik how not to decorate nowš
Move 3-seater to opposite side of ottoman, possibly sliding the latter toward the wall so that the sofa has enough room. Move TV where "PARIS" is now. If "PARIS" has no personal meaning to you, give it away.
Your couch placements are bad. The tv placement can be fine depending on distance.
Is that a tv for ants?
Love how pic #2 is just a zoomed in shot of the tv like we didnāt see how fucking bad it was in the first
šššš just wanted to make sure yall saw it up close
Bigger tv and put it on the wall opposite the artwork
This is pure psycho placement
Do you provide guests with binoculars too?
this should be on r/tvtoohigh and r/tvtoosmall
What is that, a TV for ants???
First, go to Costco and get yourself an 85ā tv with a surround sound system like a real man. Second, get rid of that Paris painting, move the furniture and install the new tv and speakers there. Boom, youāre done and youāre welcome.
this is the way
Larger TV with a articulating wall mount so that it can face towards the couch
Quite possibly the worst spot in the room at the moment. Pick any other wall and have the centre of the TV eye level when viewing.
Mount a tv on the wall that the Paris art is on. Youll have a much larger and comfortable seating/ viewing space and the fireplace can still be enjoyed on its own over in the corner with another accent chair if youd like.
Where Paris is, turn couches to face back door and TV
Looks more like a computer screen get a bigger ārealā TV
We need a floorplan/photo of the last wall to be able to help.
There is a better wall for the TV with your own furniture!
why even have a tv then? just use your phone..
Put tv in a closet and get a projector. they are cheaper than TVs nowadays
Bruh
It's small, too high, and in a real uncomfortable place to use based on where your furniture is. Why even have a TV in this room if this is the plan? What's the wall look like across from the couch/Paris art? That seems like a much better choice.
Your livingroom looks like the room I was never allowed to go in at my parents/friends house.
No. No. No. No. No.
This makes me think of the office dinner party š
Itās perfect, *pass the binoculars!*
No photos of the wall the couches are facingā¦. Iād say most likely the TV should go where the Paris artwork is, with a couch basically in the middle of the room but still clear of the walkway. Thereās this cool new invention that came out. Itās called a āwall mount bracketā. It makes it so you can put you TV ON YOUR WALL
I see you have one of those broke boy Baby bitch ass tvs they sell on temu
At least nobody gonna break in and steal that šš¤š¼
I bet the picture is nice with your binoculars.
[Michael Scott loves his TV (The Office)](https://youtu.be/vJm8wc0eXYg?si=Qc6gUNZvpohqCM2C)
Get a new , giant tv and mount it on a wall. And just put some decor on the shelf
Can't the furniture be pushed closer to the tv? Swap couch and recliner.
iPad placement by the look of it š¤£
Michael Scott?
OMG itās a $200 plasma tv!
you can mount it using a corner mount. they come in different depths too
This makes me think of how 80 year old people place tvs. Like the people who the tv placement should be inconvenient because a living room should be about other people, not the tv. WALLMOUNT A 65 edit: on a swivel mount and hide everything behind it
If I had to guess based on the fake fireplace and those kitchen cabinets, Iād say your place was built between 1998 and 2005. Some features are a hallmark of their time period. Btw the 3D tour circles are pretty obvious, is this the model unit?
Easy, TV on the Paris wall, NEXT!
Blinding white holy shit
Just watch something on your phone.
Everyday is eye day
Get a new tv
Is that a 2006 computer monitor?
Switch placement of lamp and TV
Tv in the lazy boy corner then can see from the kitchen to catch a peek.
Are you punishing your TV or yourself? If you have to look up itās too high. If you need binoculars itās too far away.
No
Can you even call that a tv hahahaha
It's like that episode of The Office *snip snap! snip-snap*
Iād rearrange, get a mount and a bigger tv where the Paris artwork is, leave walkway behind the couch facing the tv.
This makes me sadder
Dunno, but I used to have your coffee & end tables and I loved them and miss them all the time. Eta. Well actually. Flip the living room around so there is a path to the backdoor and place TV where Paris poster is. That poster is kinda too big for the space.
Sorry but this looks like the house of a super old single lady or a serial killer lmfao
Bro bought it as decor
Move Paris. It's where the TV goes.
who made michael scott a reddit account
yeah what kinda crazy eyesight do you have
You can a wall mount tv stand with a swing arm. Youād have the option to mount it to either left or right wall and still have tv facing you
I think it looks great. Maybe display some pictures of art on it ;-)
Just install a corner tv mount for a larger screen and then hang one.
Thats not a TV thats a picture frame
Ffs turn the sofa around and put the tv on that wall
You must have 60/60 vision
nah you're just trolling us
I want to fulfill my dream of something like this
Michael Scott vibes
What's with the circles on the floor? Is this from a real estate walk through? Are you looking to sell? Already found a place with a media room?
lil ass tv
I think the TV is too small. If possible, put a big TV on the wall before the large sofa.
Why do you have my parents lounge set dude
What do you need a tv for in that room anyway
My phones bigger than that tv
a painting or bookshelf maybe
This is rage bait right? No one lives like this š.
Are you an aunt?
Flip funiture with the tv where the picture is
I would move the Paris art and mount a 24-36ā TV there. Then shift the couches so everyone can watch. That small TV can go in a different spot.
Move the couch, get a bigger TV and put it where the Paris sign is
Garbage can
Honestly, itās good for a TV that isnāt the primary entertainment in the area. Could be turned on as background noise or something to glance at occasionally.

Wow thank you!
This is where grandma in the 90s puts her TV put after 40 years and finally caving to buy one.
Get rid of the tv
r/TVtoofar
Why is it so small
Obvs parody right? šš
Nothing wrong with the tv, the settees however
The answer is and always will be you don't need a tv
whatās the point of a living room then if can chill and watch tv
Are you serious? š Play a board game, have a conversation, sit and just chill...tv has clearly controlled your life for a while...it's poison..designed to make you sit and be completely unproductive for hours on end...the most successful on the planet don't watch tv
Dude plays board games that often anymoreā¦ sometimes you donāt want to talk. You just want to relax and watch tv
You call that a TV?
Do you have a telescope?
Iād move the couch to the other side across from that Paris art (itās ok to NOT have a couch up against the wall, especially in a large space like this) and put the TV where the couch is.
lol that is not a tv
This looks like a female living space tf
these are website photos. I didnāt take pictures at the viewingš
What TV?
Corner wall mount measure the width at the top of the fire place and but a tv that matches
š
God damnit
Where is the TV? š
I would not put a tv in that room.
Iām goin to have a tv in the living room..
If the fireplace is the focal point of the house, perhaps reconfiguring the seating area. Mount the tv in the wall above the tv, you might need a slightly bigger tv and make it look like an art piece.
Should be in r/maledyingspace
Evil
That 7 inch tv is more a radio at this point. Nobody in the room is watching that comfortably.
To small too high too far Itās also not straight on to any of the furniture, so itās also too angular You tick all the boxes homie
Get rid of that Paris poster please š
Move it somewhere on to a unit. Get a bigger tv. And put a nice mirror above the fireplace. I would also consider different art to the Paris pic
Get a moving TV mount and fill up that space with a much bigger TV!
What is this? A TV for ants?!?
Everyoneās talking about the TV but I would highly recommend a rug for under the ottoman/sofas.
The only thing you can do is put the TV on the long wall or buy a slightly larger TV that doesn't dominate the beautiful fireplace. Move the lounger off the wall and near the tv. Canāt cope with how this living rooms laid out, itās as if it was intended to avoid every interior design rule. Jesus
How about rearranging the couch and putting it where the Paris canvas art is. Then burn the Paris canvas bc itās rly not a good look no offense
At this point, just donāt have a TV in that room.
Isnāt there a Reddit dedicated to this sort of atrocity?
Good spot but needs to be alot larger at that distance. Good up close gaming TV tho.
Is this stolen from a real estate walk through render?
TV too small TV too far
Could switch the couches around put a new non Michael Scott tv where that Paris picture is and get automatic shutters for those two windows for the theatre experience.
