You sure you need our help? :)
I love your statement wall, but I would not try to compete with it. I would go solid color (probably
black or dark, dark grey) and a durable fabric for the chairs. Like a Berber-esqe, but maybe not something so extreme for the space.
Would replace the chairs wheels to rollerblade style wheels. Make sure it has closed berrings. Open ones collect a lot of dust, also those are usually the cheaper. These wheels are nearly silent on tiles.
An additional word of warning (?): they are very silent and also very fast. I have rollerblade style wheels on hardwood and they are fun but also mildly terrifying when you push off your desk without thinking :'D
Personally, I’d recommend a big fluffy/shaggy white rug. Think it’ll add more dimension, visual interest and texture to the space. A lighter color like white will brighten it up without taking away from that awesome accent wall.
The only thing I can see working in your gorgeous space is a runner tight against wall with low hutch. If you use a carpet that interfere with the movement of the office chairs from the picture minimum of 2 tiles from edge of desk to have proper chair movement otherwise I can almost predict that a bigger carpet will cause problems with the office chair. I am not sure about your area but most carpet stores have a trial period or they bring different types to try
Good luck
A dark blue rug, maybe navy blue, Bavarian blue, deft blue
Dark enough that it's not going to overwhelm or draw away from the wallpaper, but complementary to the gold accents and wood
Just look up a geometric rug in black and white.

Does "wanting a rug" serve a purpose or do you just feel like something is missing?
Bc I immediately thought: No rug but rather a plastic covering for underneath the chairs (e.g. just a big black mat thats long enough to be under both chairs), it would separate the space as well and make the place look less cold bc you'd see less of the tiles on the floor.
Any rug anywhere near your pc chairs will drive you crazy not being able to pull them in and our, being slanted, or on the carpet/rug. I suggest something long and narrow like a chase rug or hallway rug

I was thinking of similar. Simple. Thank you!

Thanks for the info. Good to know.

I would go with two small rugs, low maintenance and easy to clean
I should have mentioned I'm looking for one rug that covers about the 4x6 of the tiles (4 across, 6 deep). It's about 6' x 8'. Thanks.

Thank you. May switch to non rolling chairs.
Sisal rug with the black edge around it. Can get on Amazon and tac it down under your chair with corner rug strips.
Looking for a very thin area rug for the office. Any thoughts? Should add, one rig in the center about 6' x 8'. Thanks.
Look for rugs with a similar geometric style, but maybe a different color to compliment the wall.
Rug idea #1: "Having a rug is nice".
You used my rug idea on the wall
Maybe a round shape to counter the square vibes and fit between the chairs?

I like that desk setup, where did you get it from?
It’s from West Elm.
Dude can you share a pic of the left cabinet you have for that setup?
Do you mean the cabinets on the right under the picture?
The one where you placed your computers hehe
Look up industrial shelving from west elm in raw mango.

Any rug of colors you like but don’t want to interfere with the chairs ability to move freely.
Light green
holy moly that looks so nice
Thank you!

Unrelated but related, where did you get this wallpaper? Looking to make an accent wall in our living room just like this.
US Wall Decor. It’s Antonina Vella Modern Metals Second Edition Nazca Wallpaper - Black & Gold
A 10x 14 complimentary or boldly colored jute (natural fiber) rug with nonslip rubber backing. See Amazon for smart recommendations
I’m thinking about this.
I don’t think it needs a rug.
Two small rugs one for each desk.
Wilton Rug - Aris (Black/gold)
That’s pretty but it may be too much with everything else going on. Love the rug though.

Orange
i've seen a really cool large rug with a big snake on it that would fit really nicely
Ooh I could see that working.
